I bought 50 pieces of Alchemy Stone without money!!!

I created a purchase store and put 50 Alchemy Stone there for 20 copper each. But i didn't notice that my money was only 900 copper. Then, someone sold 50 Alchemy Stone but my money is still there. Why is that? And I recieved the 50 Alchemy Stone? Is that a bug?!
