Random Invites Rant

I have a level 26 cleric... nothing too impressive, right? I'm not in a guild and I'm often not in a party. Walking through town I get so many guild invites from guilds I know nothing about from people that know nothing about me. When I'm soloing I get tons of random party invites. The party thing I can kind of understand but... how can someone just click every random guildless person? How hard is it to say hello, ask the person if they want to join, tell them about the guild, etc? Aren't those necessary things in order to keep jerks out of your guild? Isn't it kind of rude to just pop up a message on someone's screen asking them to join your guild even though they know nothing about your guild and have no reason to join? Do you think I'd be guildless if I wanted a guild? And if I wanted a guild do you think I'd just join some random thing that pops up on my screen like "oh that one looks good!" I don't mean to complain but I seriously can't go 2 minutes in elderine without getting an invite to a guild. I can't imagine what it would be like if I were actually high level. I guess I'll make a guild just so I don't get invite spam all the time. Oh I get the same thing with friend requests. Random person... who the hell are you and why do you want to be my friend? We've never even talked. OH LET ME GUESS YOU WANT TO BE A POPULAR CELEBRITY. Why not trying to ACTUALLY be popular instead of going around clicking every person in town?

I'm not a mean or nasty person. ;< I'm just annoyed by having to click cancel constantly. Don't these people have standards for their members?

yep... this happened to me when I sorta accidentally left ma guild, I went afk in Elderine and when i came back 3 mins later I had to decline joining 7 guilds...

Then there was the time i was in roumen because i misclicked on a warp scroll, i was still mia from ma guild, my mom called me and i looked away from the screen for like 10 seconds and when i looked back three different ppl invited me to the SAME guild.

lol if u don't want guild invites i think u can go to: option--> game settings --> under chat filters click "guild invites" and problem should be solved :P

Heh. Turn on charhide mode. That solves the problem really quickly, usually. :D

But yeah. I'd never join a guild that I was randomly invited to. Just like I don't join parties that I'm randomly invited to. At least say hi first. :p
