lol, this really depends on what you plan on doing with your archer. i personally prefer X-bow over bow in every circumstacne. the reasoning is because i have lowered the cooldown on all my attacks so that i rarely even use regular attack so 1.1 attack time v.s. 1.3 dosent really make a difference to me. however i have seen throughout my time as a fiesta player that bows are the best solo weapon, and X-bows are the best aoe weapon.

I have a level 40 +9 xbow which I will perfer to my +6 bow...though they are not the same enchancement I know, I still would perfer the damage over speed.

Next one up: level 50 +9 xbow....

But then again....that is just me...I do fine with a bow too but no am loving my strength. :)

Well, I've been playing an archer on and off since I started fiesta about 7 months ago, and I really must say, I perfer the bow, simply for how extravagent the skills look. Damage doesn't really effect me, due to the fact that it's not my highest level, I can afford +9 weapons, and armor, if I wished.
Sure, +9 xbow might hit higher, but, it's rather ugly performance.

For 1 on 1 fights BOOOOOOOOOOOOW! with pure str free stat it owns. ^^
For mass AoEing, Xbow! I reccomend str/25spr for the super AoEing with xbow since you hit alot of targets the 5% critical boost really increases your chances of doing a critical to any one of them. xD

Xbow and it's much better if it's a +9 to +9 make way more DMV then +9 bows always had a xbow starting from lv20 of cource a +9 that is try comparing +9 xbow with+9 bow

Or get both? I carried around and used both until I decided which one I wanted. Did it for lvl 20 and lvl 30. Still doing it for lvl 40 and prolly will for lvl 50.
