I have finally got to lvl 2x, and now I get the fun of killing myself. Ive done what everyone else does ( strip naked before enetering shadow area) but even without a weapon my shadow does 90 dmg per .5 second RANGED unarmed, and my lack of armor means im dead before I equipt or heal.
Any suggestions on how to defeat your shadow?

Scrolls, and pots is the only way. And take off everything? LOL WHERE did you hear that one? Witha good amount of stones, HP pots and a vit, m. def and def scroll you should have no problem. I've done it with a cleric, archer and mage with no problems.

Actuall ASC, I was the one that told them to take everything off, before you enter into the Dungeon, and right before the final fight. Your double spawns nekkid that way!
Then after he spawns, you re-equip everything and put all your scrolls and buffs on.

My main problem is the unarmed doin 90 dmg ranged with no weapon faster than my bow can shoot.

thats freakin joke, 2 stone giants and myself 3 times, I used up 20 pots and then failed.
i cant afford freakin 100 pots, I would rather pay 5 s for my weapon then do this stupid quest.

Did it again, same thing, got to final boss, stripped and 3 stone giants, and a shadow came out as well as me. I used 2s worth of pots, and then died. I cant afford to do this quest over and over. Any tips? (still hate the fact taht my shadow has ranged when unarmed)

Just go and buy 30 pots and stones, lots of scrolls. Now you need an itchy pot finger. In the blue room with the light look around and killl the monsters, so they don't spawn. When you get to the alter go right where the golem spawns. Now after you kill him run forward a bit then kill yourself.(like the emo you are!) =)

I did, I still lose to myself... more mobs spawned while I was killing, i already spend 2 mores on 50 hp pots and 20 stones with 3 scrolls and I cant afford to do it again.
cant even use house in there, would save me 5-10 pots
it hates me, I went in this time with full hp, as soon as its done loading I have 10 hp, and cant do anything. I use a pot but it FAILS and I die.

forget this, archers are way underpowered, and if anyone manages to get to lvl 60, good for you. Im just going to sell everything and reroll a cleric.

Well you are free to play another class. I hope you enjoy it.
I cannot see the problem. I made it with a def scroll and a power scroll (didnt use hp scroll). I think I used like 10-20 hp stones, 10 sp stones and a couple of hp pots. It wasn't that much difficult. You jsut have to do it slowly, step by step.
PD: When I did it I had still got about 10 stat not set. C'mon guy, its not a hard quest. Just kill the weaker mobs first.

You guys need to spam HP stones and pots... For my first time i used up at least 20+ hp stones and 30+ tier 1 hp potions and succeeded. ^^

Well my advice would be to kite. I haven't made the job change with an archer but with a mage and honesly, it was easier than i expected. Now I'm not 100% sure kiting had an effect but to me it seamed like there was a range at which I was able to attack and the needed to move to attack.
Kiting also made it easier to recharge my HP/SP bar since it gave me a few seconds of attack free time. But otherwise I mostly spammed my lvl 1 magic bolt using other spells when they cooled down constantly keeping an eye on my HP bar. Plus I made sure to kill all the spawns as soon as they appeared (the golems hit hard but are easy to bring down).
I went into the dungeon with activated HP/SP increase scrolls, agility, power and defense scrolls. Of course it helped financialy that i have scroll production as a chosen skill. I also used quite a lot of both pots and stones so stock up. Now I know the quest is pretty costly but it's better to invest a large amount of your savings and finish the quest successfully that to try and save up and fail still wasting pots and stones.

I did it with an archer, it was tough but after a couple of tries I got it. You gotta keep your cool, use scrolls and know what you're doing. You are obviously a toddler having a temper tantrum.

Oh my god that's classic. I'm going to run through that one next time I get up to that. That's awesome. And from a GM to boot. Double awesome. xD

LOLS IT WORKS! Nekkid fun ftw. xD With my bow and armour off the shadow clone could only deal a measly 30+ dmg to me compared to a qq 89 with a bow. Since I'm such a nice guy imma gonna give u tips! 8D *shots*
- Activate ur scrolls before u go in. That includes ur Vitality, Mental, Shield, Speed and Power for maximum efficiency! Do note that each scroll have a 3 second cool down before u can use the next one, so activating them while ur in is a nono and ensuring a confusing death!
VITALITY AND MENTAL SCROLLS IS A FRIGGIN MUST! Archers who dont uses end as a main stat will find 300-400 hp a little too flimsy and too prone of getting killed quickly, and the more sp the better isnt it?
- Taking ur clothes and weapon off before entering is a way u can ease this quest. Make sure that u have at least 5 empty empty spaces in your inventory. To make it easier make the first 5 boxes of ur invent empty, so u can equip them faster. And remember! RIGHT CLICK to EQUIP THEM! Drag dropping is way too slow! D:< That way when ur nekkid clone spawns and starts rambling about how useless u are u can shoop! rightclickclickclickclickclick and have ur items on faster before he can attack.
This also applies before u reach the final blue glowing stone when ur travelling through the darkroom. Take off ur clothes at the stairs, leave your invenotry on and go aaaaallll the way to the blue light, and the room will start to get brighter. You will then see your clone spawning nekkid which u can quickly rightclickclickclickclickclick and have all ur equips back again! AHAHA, You sure your'e my clone when i have a Light Bow +8 and u have efin nuuuthhhin, huhuhuhuh?!
- At the first after your shadow clone spawns, a shadow clan warrior and a stone giant will spawn. The stone giant is to your left and is easily killable before he can fully mobilize himself and start moving towards you. He should still be in some kind of wierd flaky aura and u can target him, so just shoot away before the clan warrior comes to you.
- U dont need to kill ALL the stone giants. I only killed 2 and my clone went down before the third one reached me, and the SUCCESS word came out and the third giant was gone.
- Watch your hp. YES ITS IMPORTANT. Use a hp pot whenever ur hp drops below 200. I also have a few hp regeneration potion so it made my life a liiiittle easier. really, the first time i went in I was so nervous i forgot to heal . = ___= And with the vitality pot your life should be more so you can take more hits before u need to choke down a pot.
- HP stones are equally important. they can heal u when the potions are recharging. used along with the hp potion gives u a big heal.
- Dont listen to that "Oh prepare 100 potions and 100 hp stones bla" crap. I only brought in 15hp and sp stones and 25hp and sp pots and 5 hp regen potions. and i only used up my entire hp potions in the entire dungeon, without touching my hp stones, but feel free to use them when u need them.
-If you have a heart problem, try not to overexert yourself on this. Man, my heart was wrecking up my ribs when i was doing the clone.. = __= /random
- Xbow or Bow? Doesnt really matter, since u can equip anytypes of bow even if u chose the weapon u want.
THERE U HAVE IIIIIT D:

Strip into noob clothes? O.o I beat it on the 2nd try (the first try i was getting used to it) by using buff scrolls and HP stones only. I ran out of pots, so I bought as many HP/SP stones as I could. I buffed my HP, SP, Aim, and Def and it wasn't all that hard. Just make sure you defeat the other monsters your shadow summons at the end and not the shadow, because the monsters will prolly kill you sooner or later.

I beat it first time, with full equipment on. I totally stocked up on full stones and I didn't even use half of them.
When you enter the dark room with the blue light, before following it, you can already beat the crap out of the archer and soldier (or whatever he is) so you don't have to worry about fighting them at the same time as your clone.
And like everyone else said, buff up. Def and vitality are a must.

I agree, I beat it the second time around with my archer. I was wearing all my equip, killed the fighter and archer when the room goes dark, ran the blue light to the end, turned to the first golem and killed it, then headed straight to my clone. The only buffs i used before i entered the cave were vitality and agility. Protip: If you alternate between stones and pots the cool times cancel each other out! :p Anyway, a second golem came out while i was attacking my clone and I had to finish him off, but then I was almost done, and bam! SUCCESS! And who said beating it with an archer was hard? Oh wait, the OP did:( NVM~!

The first time I went in, I had 5 pots and no stones. I didn't use any scrolls or anything. I barely got pass the first part because I didn't know the shadow was going to attack me. Anyway, I got to the final part and got him halfway, before a Stone giant killed me. Well, I came back with a Vit. and Def. scroll (ohh yea, and 20 pots/20 hs. When I got to the final part, I killed everything in the room first (apparently I missed a stone giant last time). I had no problem downing myself. I didn't have to SPAM potions, but I did have to use them. I had to alternate hs/pots one time at the beginning but after that, it was easy.

I didn't think the shadow was that hard at all with an archer. As long as you go in prepared. I had a vit scroll and def scroll which helped a bunch though. The only time i failed the Shadow dungeon was with a mage....Now that was tough.

my first time, i failed. i wasn't sure what to expect. after stocking up on stones and pots. then short-cuting stones, so while pots on cool down time, i can use the stones. of course scrolls! i was able to make it!

1st time I failed simply because I read the dialogue with the shadow xD (well I did not expect an encounter right at the beginning of the dungeon ^^° )
2nd time I succeeded even though I completely forgot about the vital and def-scrolls I brought along, so I used about 35 potions xD So basically yeah, the shadow is very possible.

Yep! me to!
I rolled through it the first time( as an Archer) with NO idea what to expect and won easily. At the end after getting the "Success" message, I thought to myself "Is that it?, Wow that was easy!"
I find that the high percentage of people that can't whoop there own shadow really concerns me on the average ability of the player base. :(

I just beat it first time around with my archer. I stripped/equipped the first time I met her; forgot to the second time, but I still owned her hardcore.
I had Vitality, Power, Magic Defence, Natures Agility, Speed activated and only used about 15 hp pots, 5 sp pots and 2 hp stones. She had 5550 hp and allher gear the second fight.
BTW My Character is Sarcasma on Teva.

Lol wow I beat it the first time around. Its not hard I just bought alot fo HP and SP pots and crystals (So they can undo their cooldowns). And well just played like I do. Btw a hint, in the room where the laser first appears, on the right side of the room are the archer and warrior that appear when you fight your shadow for the second time. Take them out one by one there and that makes it so much easier.
Lol I finished the quest in less than about 9 min. its not hard...if it is then your using the wrong class.
