Regard the more power AOE of mages than archers

i both have a mage and an archer, and for me, theyre both good. i like playing with those characters. but theres an issue about their AOE, as i see in forums. for me, really, mages' AOE at higher level outburst arhers' AOE. ....///.... why dont they make a new skill for archers o.o like an arrow with flame and ice that may cause the mob burn or freeze in DoT o.o just wondering.. or a multishot that give burns to surrounding targets..``these are not magic, as i say``

Hahahaha, but you gotta keep in mind that every class is different, and that`s why we have four. Every class has its ups, and its downs, and you have to choose the one you like the most: Fighters have the highest high attack and defense, but can attack by melee and can`t do lots of other things really, Clerics can heal, buff, do all the sparkly stuff, but they are not as "Strong" as the fighter, and have to go melee as well, Archers can attack from far away and cause status ailments (Poison, bleeding, disease, etc.) giving them the cool grinding ability of kiting, something only they can do, and Mages, aside from attacking from far away also (With skills always) have the super-mega-awesome AoEs with ice, fire, and super damage, but they`re physically weak.

I`m a fighter, and when I see a Cleric buffing, I wish I was a cleric. When I see an archer staying behind and hitting King kong Phino with his arrows, poisoning and hurting him without having to get his hands in the dirt, I wish i was an Archer. And whenever a nearby Mage pulls off one of his WHOAHOWDIDHEDOTHAT??!! super AoEs, you can bet whatever you want I wish I was a Mage...

Each class is good at what each class does, you just have to stick with the one(s) you like the most, no point in making them "Equal", because a being with good attack and defense that can heal, buff, cause status effects, attack from far away and use super powerful AoEs wouldn`t be fun at all~

Ooh, i got your point :D I experienced that too before. Because of that, ive been making different characters LOL. I dont know what and who will use. But now, i feel like playing with my archer :P, even though i like mages' inferno and nova, fighters' END, and clerics' buffs. Still, the gameplay of my archer outbest the other characters. `for me :P`
Yeah, it would be a boring game if all characters are equal. It is really good when one has strengths and also has weaknesses. :D

As for myself, I went right ahead and became a fighter, since the flaming passion in my heart told me to do so! Oooorryaaaahhhhh~~!!

In most MMOs, mages or mage classes are notorious for their AOEs. Such is the fate of mages on this game. Archers still need a lot of balancing. Mages are supposed to be the hard hitters, archers are supposed to be the fast hitters with debilitating skills.
