I am taking a leave of absence from the forums

As of Friday, October 24, 2008 I will be taking a hiatus from the forums and game to concentrate on the increasing responsibility of my real-life job. I have made arrangements for a replacement to monitor and address the boards as necessary with full authorization and abilities of the Lead position. This replacement was chosen for not only the same reasons they were chosen as a CL in the first place, but because they have shown excellent leadership, sound decision making and issue resolution skills.

Please join me in congratulating KireiYosei on her temporary placement as Lead Community Leader. As I have said above, she has done a considerable job as a CL on these forums and represents both you, the players and forums users and Outspark in the best light possible.

I have no firm date as to my return at this time but I fully intend on returning. I have always sais the community here was perhaps the single most reason for my involvement as a Community Leader. Each of you are why I keep coming back, and I wouldn’t trade that in for the world. However, real life being what it is, we often find ourselves with having to shuffle priorities and making sacrifices. It will be very difficult for me not to check in on the forms several times and hour but I have little choice, unfortunately.

I have always believed in open communication between the CLs and you, the users, so I have no issues telling you why I am doing this: I work with business tax and tax collection, and the October month is the 2nd busiest time next only to mid April to early June. I hope to be back before Spring but we’ll see. I’ll just keep my fingers crossed.

In the interim, I will be handling some final resolution issues then will be closing my mailbox on the evening of Friday, October 24, 2008. After that time please forward your reports and issues to the CL team and, if need be, KireiYosei.

It isn't a quiting thread. It isn't even so much as him going on leave, as much as it is informing us he will not be around to monitor the forums as the Lead Community Leader or take any PMs and stuff like that. He is informing as also that Yosei has temporarily taken his position. So, it is not so much a leaving thread as much as it is informing us of some changes in positions.

Please try to be a little considerate to Serric please. I think since he's the lead CL, and people usually send most of their issues to him, he should let people know when he isn't going to be available.

I wish you luck with your job Serric and hope for a fast return to us after all you were the first one to come to my aid when I called out for help and you stuck with me when it became more of a troubling issue (even Dakkon couldn't fix it but he tried.. gotta love updates now)

AND lastly I would like to point out to all...

Technically this is not a quitting thread.. it is notice of a staff member taking a temporary leave of abscence.. you may say that because he is a CL and it is voluntary that he is not staff but keep in mind that at any real job no matter if it is voluntary or not you are still considered staff if you are providing your assitance to them

It is out of respect to the community that those who are in, inform us of changes being made so that we do not all create a riot over a missunderstandment and as much as anyone would like to argue this is not a change I would like to point out that Serric recieves a massive amount of PM's for help due to his time here and the respect he shows with each of us

Now enough of this rambing.. Serric you get back here soon you hear? Otherwise we may have to send out a search party for you
