what r the chaces of a magic class gettin a xen?

Xen stone drops are completely random. They do not vary from level to level or from class to class. Mage class doesnt get less or more xens than anyone else. However, if you solo you'll have more chances of getting a xen stone since when it drops, you're the one who gets it. In parties, it might go to someone else.

Xens drop randomly, regardless of your class and what not.
It's pretty rare and high priced.
Xens drop in dungeons the most though
[Such as Mythrill Mines, Sleepless Grave, etc]

yea but aoe'rs have a greater chance cause the kill the whole map. its one at a time for us

it's the same chance...

if it was 1 out of every 100 mobs...

then it doesn't matter if you're aoeing them or solo killing them, every 100th mob REGARDLESS, you'd get one.

however, an aoer would get them more OFTEN if that was truely the chances, since they'd be killing more mobs faster.

aoe is not completely out of the picture for mages. I've been assist aoeing for the last twenty levels and even though im not aoeing alone, there is a bigger chance of getting a xen stone since you're killing more mobs.

Though it may be random, as u increase in lvl it takes you longer to lvl up and therefore the amount of xens you find per lvl (yes i'm willing to make that a decimal value) goes up since you're training for longer periods of time without lvling up.

Back on topic though, it might be random but I feel like I get hardly any when I see ppl saying, "Oh man I just wasted 20 xens on that armor! >.<"
I'VE NEVER EVEN SEEN TWENTY XENS IN A YEAR OF PLAYING THIS GAME!!!(this includes CB) LET ALONE EVER HAVE THAT MANY! Ok, i'm done ranting...

I find that i get more xens when im 4x Oo~
i found 5 xens on my former acolite and 2 on my current neo when they were lvl 4x

also, i aoed with a rogue in loren from lvl 63-65. we got 1 xen a day for 3 days~ O.o

I find that starting as a Mage, then converting to an AOE class, I didnt notice ANY difference in the frequency of Xen drops. AT ALL. I think I easily could have gotten just as many in the 77 levels that my Mage is at, as the first 77 levels of my Templar.

Honestly tho, I checked the "I buy mine" option, since, well, I do xD

Mostly I buy my xens.. I didn't buy any xens until level 8x and i had like 70+ in hotel during that time.. That means I managed to collect 70+ xens from drop from level 1-8x.. Probably I had extra 20+ from Pursuit of Xen back then.. So to be exact, I managed to collect 50+ xens from drop alone.. I remember I was lucky to get 2 xens from two Teethina(s) in less than 3 minutes.. :D

I'm nearly to lvl 80 and I think I've only gotten about 20-30 total! Granted, I didn't get much from Pursuit of Xen(Grand total of 4 xens >.<) and I'm usually in parties (so drop is random), and I don't have much money either (5 mil was highest I ever got on my own). But still I think that 70+ xens is remarkable for that period of time. I wish I had someone else's luck<.<

im 80+ used alot of xens for getting mine to at least a +5 minimum and still have 30 in bank, will be going to use them for trying to make me a +7 int staff ;P and for the sun gears ;P
