I had set up my sell house in Elderine and went to tend a few chores. When I came back, I found another player killing me over and over again. They had started a guild war while I was afk.
Strictly speaking, it shouldn't be possible to attack players in sell houses, even during a war, especially in cities like Elderine etc., but that's not the issue.
I tried to run away. I had recently hit level 30 and was trying to sell my level 20 sword to make money to get a level 30 one. The other two players were repeatedly killing an UNARMED player.
The bug I'm reporting is this; apparently, because I died while in my sale house, I was locked from using any items in my inventory. I couldn't use a heal potion, couldn't equip my sword to defend myself, nor could I equip my horse to escape. The only way I cleared this was by relogging. Soon after doing that and setting up another sell house, they found and killed me again, which locked my inventory again. The only way I could get them to stop was to LEAVE THE GUILD.
I reviewed the "rules" as posted by GM_DAKON and understand that they didn't strictly break the rules, only the guidelines, But I'd appreaciate it if you can do something about the inventory issue. I should have the option to try to defend myself in such a case. It might not have mattered, but we'll never know.
