So I assume they level the same rate?

May need to wait more than 4 minutes before expecting a response LOL This is a forum, not live chat :)

In my personal opinion I've played all 4 characters and there's not much difference.. Clerics seem to level slightly faster due to the healing spell, they don't have to rest as often.

However any class can level faster or slower depending on how careful the player is watching their HP... Hard to level when you die and warp to town to run back again a lot.

Archers and Mages levels the fastest in early levels. From level 20 onwards, archers become one of the slowest leveling class. Mage remains the top or second top. Clerics and Fighters level slower during early levels but is a highly sought after classes from level 20 onwards.

For a less hassle way of saying, in MY OWN opinion this is how I see:
Fastest leveler: Mage
*Second fastest: Fighter
*Second to bottom fastest: Cleric
Slowest leveler: Archer

*I personally feel that fighters and clerics level in the same pace. But reason why I put fighter on top is because their damage is higher, but has to rest more while cleric is able to heal oneself, resting is minimal. So these two classes remains even out.

Maybe I should've added a in my own experience as well as opinion rather than just opinion. :P

And yes, you do make a point. Clerics levels fast in party. Though I'm not the partying type of person if I ever make a cleric I probably will find it hard to get rid of my habit of soloing. :D

well once u hit lvl 20 with a cleric u'll pretty much burn thru lvls. reason i say this is because a pt full of lvl 25's will pt with u (only if u have revive) and kill mobs u couldnt possibly kill yet and a cleric is needed in any basic pt lol...unless u all plan on potting...which isnt fun if u dont have the funds.

depends on the type of player u are aswell. do u like pt's or solo'n, i for one am a solo artist unless of course im farming or in a kq then yea...im in a pt.

archers and mages are the slowest for one reason. they have to hunt things that are green(easy kills) because hunting somthing yellow or orange can lead to being killed in 2 hits. if u play a range char its almost a rule to kill it b4 it gets to u...

I prefer you to choose mage but if your new to this game, you need to use a fighter to get to know the game more. But mages uses alot of money wasting mp pots so get rich then start a mage.

(this is what i think)

If you're not stingy with HP/SP Pots, Scrolls, Stones and 1337 gear, then a Mage would level the fastest.

Low HP wouldnt be a problem as they always scroll, Mages would have similar HP to what Clerics have (unbuffed), as well as having the highest DPS of any class at the same level.

Consider a Fighter and Cleric [who also arent stingy with scrolls/pots/equipment], like a Mage they would have near zero downtime, and they would have no HP problems, but, even if they spent as much as they could, they cannot compete with a Mage's damage, and kill slower. Maybe if Fighters/Clerics had decent AOE damage, they would be fast for levelling.

This is solo-ing btw. But if it was grouped, 4 Mages + 1 Cleric would be a very fast levelling group. 1 Mage kite the mob while the other 3 DPS and the Cleric occasionally healing when needed.

I'm a mage, I don't kill green things solo !!!

My opinion

1. Fighter: They tank better and do more damage than a cleric when using a shield and sword. Being able to take a lot of hits, they do not need to heal as much as clerics do. Simply a few pots will cover it up. Don't really need to rest.

2. Cleric: Doing less damage than fighter, they only burn a bunch of SP pots, but less than mages. If a cleric saved up a lot of HP pots and uses them for one level, the cleric will end up saving a lot of SP and that will yield to more Bash attacks. They don't need to rest at all.

3. Mage: Doing the highest damage but also having the weakest defense. They are going to burn a lot of SP and HP pots if they want to level fast. Mage would be a perfect 2nd character whose main is high level and rich. They often had to rest otherwise and great chance of dying, resulting a longer training time.

4. Archer: Doing weaker damage and had to kite to kill. If for example, a high level monster can kill a mage in two hits, archer probably can also take 2-3 hits in that case.

So Fighter, Cleric, Mage then Archer IMO.

Mage and Archer could use some really strong AOE skills to make them highly useful in parties and make up their slow-training (compare to other two classes)
