Are you tired of the way PvP has become? Do you have ideas that can help make free PvP an enjoyable place for those who want to duel friends, test skills or just have an all out friendly war against others? Are you tired of going to free PvP to only be massacred by particular groups who don't seem to care about friendly competition? Post your idea's here. The GM's are listening and they want ideas that will help the SoS community be a great place to play.

1.protection.......only in free PvP tho

players can only attack players of the same lvl range
(but this wil prevent poking T.T............poking, tis fun xD)

ex: 20s- 30s can only att lvl 20s -30s

This will solve the BAMF superiority problem and other KOSers

2. no sz for the fight initiator (u know wat i mean)

ppl hitting for a kil out of nowhere shudnt b able to run away when they are almost dead, they started the fight >.>

* i know these stuff are too specific so i dont think they will get implemented
just humoring ppl

2. Some kind of official outspark presence patrolling all arenas.
3. an "instant" report player button. They have one in Fiesta I dont see why they cant have one in SoS too. That would help the racism, swearing and TOS violations immensely

A smaller pvp arena that has a password function. If you want to duel or fight with friends you can do so without interruption.

More arenas based on lvl. Sort of expanding on Kevinata's post, make more arenas. Ones where only certain lvls can get in. For example,

20-40
41-60
61-80
81-100
101+

A duel arena of some sort would help a lot. I have no idea how this would be implemented. Maybe some sort of party mode, where you invite someone into a party and you can ONLY hit that person. Sort of like reverse Party PvP Arena?

I would like to see a kind of ignore/do not attack option and list implemented. basiclly you right click the character and select no attack/ignore and then you can'tattack/be attacked by that player. or make it so you can both attack and be attacked but the damage will always be 0. this will stop certain guilds/players from interfeering in fights.

Actually they would have to nullify skills aswell, otherwise alot of people will find themselves frozen in some way.

With my lvl divided ideas, there will still be normal arena, to test you luck against some high lvls.

0-19 shouldn't be put in, because no one stays that lvl for too long. If two players wanna whack each other with two lvl 19- characters, they can take the time to go to party. Or that duel arena idea.

With the res issue. Maybe uhhhhhhh...ummmmmmm...errrrrrrrrrr...oh! If you are dead for more than 2 minutes, you are resed with full HP. How is that?

You can have your own counter to what will work better but do not quote someone and make their idea seem little or out of the question. We will not debate someone else's ideas. We have idea's for a reason and I want to hear them all. I don't want a thread full of "no that won't work" or "OMG I can't believe how stupid that is"

I can understand cutting down on flaming. But are you telling me if I pick apart someone's idea, you will delete my post? (and believe me, I would have loved to pick at some of these ideas before I saw this post)

If we do not debate ideas that may not work, we will never be able to breed those bad ideas into better ones. Flaming is one thing, criticism is a complete other. Lets not hinder the creative process. Trial and error and Constructive arguments are what breed a flawed project, into a better one, so why not let people pick a little, given that it doesnt get out of hand?

I like to think I live in America, a place where I am allowed to criticize an idea in order to breed another, not Stalin's Old Communist Russia where I may be shot for pointing out a flaw in someone elses plan because the powers that be do not find it suitable.

Did you read the whole thing fire? The other thread was closed because of the way people chose to debate. Debating is not allowed on the forums anymore. As I stated in my post in bold above is how I want to see you "debate" an idea.

OT - Level based arenas would solve a lot of problems.

Dylan - I will try not to be too objectionable, but there is not much about the rules of this thread that I do not object to.

Forums were built to house conversation, preferably the intelligent sort. Conversation is often a form of debate, where people discuss different ideas, often that do not agree or fit well together. This is where intelligent inquiry comes into play, where ideas are built upon, through constructive criticism. Yes, to have a lot of "NO U"s and "That's impossible"s is annoying and can often lead to a circular argument, but often it's hard to avoid.

Debate is in no way a bad thing, and if it is truly against the rules then that is completely foolish. I would quote you, but I fear that, too, might be against your rules.

There's a difference between picking it apart to be mean to the person who posted it and picking it apart to further the discussion and weed out the less effective/efficient/feasible brainstorms. If it's legitimately a poor idea, and you can explain why... then... what... nevermind.

I'm in favour of different level ranges optional alongside the free arena, but the biggest flaw I see in that is a lv.89 and lv.92 are close in level - but would not be permitted to have their duel outside the free arena if the cutoffs were, say, lv.80-89 and lv.90-99. I'd appreciate if someone had a way to get around that because nothing's coming to mind right now.

This is exactly how I mean to do it. As I said you can debate something but not the way it was done before. People were not paying much attention to the 1st persons actual meaning and the way they "debated" came off as an attack. I want people to not quote others, write down their suggestions and add what you think would make it work. Not how you think their idea is horrible. I don't want people made to feel like their ideas are garbage because we all contribute to this game and IMO ideas are a great way to have people participate in the game and get them excited.

ok what i think they should do is make an option to fight or not. ok ill give an example. ok so a player walks up to another playerbut if what i had in mind is if he tried to attack him he cant because the other player had to say ok to it first. so if he said no the guy is not allowed to fight him or attack him

in my opinion, pvp should just be a place where you can test your skills against that of others, i think the wins/losses thing should be taken out. they're the cause of really high lvls killing really low lvls, which isnt fair ^^

this way people can still 'poke' others and have fun~! just without some of the competition.

how about this... like wat gryrul said. have a warning coming up.. like say i want to hit someone.. a warning comes up that says "so and so wants to attack you, fight back??" yes or no answer.. then if you say no.. they wont be able to attack. if yes.. they are free to attack until you either warp out or.. have a option to stop the fight. problem solved.pvp will be so much more organized imo also you are able to turn on or off the warning. so people can attack when they want.

how bout we make pvp free and put a pot shop in waiting rooms and and pls pls pls an ignor Attak botton cuz these kill on sighters and rez killers most the time they r doing it to make u leave . Also make it in guild pvp and pt pvp that u can stick fight ur pt or guild mate when they r stun so the kicking ppl out of pvp can stop...

And I bet the same GM I last talk to About pvp problems will comment next and say well it's pvp u don't wanna die don't go. It IS PVP not DUELING ARENA nor picnic grounds the arena isnt supposed to be nice it isnt supposed to be friendly Think of the Collesium in Rome and the gladiators thats what this is period end of discussion. Pvp should not be changed You make the choice to be there and if you dont like it dont go or here's an idea try to make friends with those that are killing you and maybe you will get protected you dont complain when the mobs of Tur kill you so why do you complain when I kill you in pvp? Oh wait when you go to Tur you have your friends with you to help protect you, yet you wont do the same thing in the arena. You want to be protected 24/7 in a small bubble so you can witness the combat with no risk to you. Its not going to happen its not going to chage PvP is brutal and harsh. since it is allowed to mention other mmo's now , this pvp garbage is reminding me more and more of the pure pkers of Runescape , in my opinion the arena doesn't belong to any one person or guild , I don't think its fair to go to pvp and just start killing everything in site .

Plus these so called " guilds" that think its funny to do so never have been run out by another guild have they? Keep this up and you will be making some enemies ( not making a threat just saying)
