My Little Boxes of Green

I'm sorry I couldn't help myself; Quite a few people are upset about the rep system, so I exaggerated all those feelings and wrote a peom about it for fun :P
Ps. No I was not that attached to the rep. It's written very exagerated :P


My Little Boxes of Green


We’d check our options
Hoping for
A positive comment maybe more.
But what we truly wished to see was a little box that sparkled green.
They started dim, but then shone bright,
It made us feel so full of might.
But then one day
Our sky grew grey
As our little green boxes went away.
.
Oh woe is me
Oh sigh the grief!
I’d built those boxes for days and weeks.
But now my options look so dull,
Without your precious boxes green.

Not even a chance to say goodbye;
You were gone, oh, in a blink of an eye.
I loved you. Why did you not love me?!
Oh come back to me my boxes green!

My existence,
Shattered.
I’m no longer whole,
My little green boxes distinguished me.
But now who am I? What shall I do?
With no green boxes left to see?

Years have passed,
Yet I’m still alone
Without my little boxes green.
But each day as I look up to the sky
I scream; Boxes please come back to me!

Sometimes I get inspired by such silly things. Lol once I really wanted to buy a pair of shoes, but no matter what i tried they kept slipping off so I couldn't buy them. So I wrote a sad poem about loss. When i showed it to my boyfriend he got worried and sad cause he thought it was about him. He started laughing when i told him it was about shoes :P

I really enjoy that you used Fiesta as an inspiration for expressing your feelings in writing. I can no longer add to your rep but here's a gold star for your refrigerator ^^. I am a bit sadden by the sudden disappearance of the green rep bars, it does feel like a a virtual gold star given to you by a teacher for a job well done. It does not really improve your academic standings in anyways but its almost a form of recognition and appreciation for your hard work by others.

I think the main issue with the reputation system is the - rep and the negative responses that comes with it have been a chronic issue that Outspark can not control to their satisfaction. That makes sense, most teachers do not pin say lead (not valuable metal) stars on students who are achieving below the medium of the group because it would make them stand out all the more and give them unnecessary stress and agitation as other students may perceive the lead stars and make false assumptions on that student.

The majority of the posters will need to prove themselves above and beyond Outspark's expectations for them to even consider bringing back the reputation system. But I say its better to change because one wishes to change for the better and not because its forced trying to be on one's best behavior to maybe return the reputation system.
