View Full Version : The only thing archers possibly need.

Is players that know how to use them. Archers are not under powered, I kill monsters with ease, and better than mages at some points. We are the ones that have got poison, and bleed, so that works to our advantage. It's as easy as Poison, Bleed, Kill. We got Good defence in comparison to the mage, and do high damage with aimed/power shot. I got a 4% chance of crit and that, with my thunder roumen bow, (+7% crit), I crit atleast once every 8 shots or more. You can loose aggro when in parties, and you can Hit various targets (Which is good when you get aggroed by many things, makes later killing easier). We are the true lurers, because we have longer attacks, and enough defence to survive 1 or 2 hits, not like the mage who will just die. And, like in every single game I've played, archer starts average, but turns out awesome later on. Quests are easy, because of the ability to pull, instead of walking by and getting hit by every monster, wich leaves an open path for you to walk to your destination. Bows look awesome with +. (face it, they do :P). You crit. a lot, dealing 2 times the damage, giving you a slight advantage at some points. (Mages, just go back to shuffling your deck of cards :P)

yea thats true but mages in a case can hit way more damage than archers and still, the die fast but the got the change to kill really fast and use spells real quick

1. Archers are good for parties yes.
2. Mages keep their high damage constant. Especially when they get their critical hit, that's even better.

Mage: Crit hit! Agro gained! Dead mage!

Must I say more? Mages are -great- at keeping their damage consistant, but have two major limiting factors: Mana, and HP. A fly could crit you and snap your neck, and you're gonna either rest every 5 monsters for SP, or drink blue potions like an olympic runner drinks Gatorade.

That's why you have fighter's use their kick skill. I'm not saying any class sucks, But if you wanna kill something a bit faster, i would like 1 mage in the party >.>

Looking at your signature that's obviously your preference. Curiously, why are you posting in the archer forums if you don't even have an archer? Shall I wander over to the mage forums to start taking shots at them? I don't have a mage. Tried it, didn't like it, so I know a little about them, but not enough to make full blown accusations at them other than what I see in KQ's.
