REFORMING OF SA Y&Ys LIL BRO~~

INTRO

Due to the many issues we encountered in the guild, the main being inactive members, we decided on undergoing a reform to help the guild run more efficiently! Basically every1 who was deemed active was dissmissed from tha guild. Basically we are starting tha guild anew in away with tha remaining mebers who are left.

Concerning Recruits:

Lvl Req: 50+ we would like, however no1 below Lvl 40 should be accepted into tha guild or i will dissmiss them.

Also when recruiting they will b trials now held in an are according to yr lvl. We will judge you on various apects and then u will b informed on whether or not u can join, ty. ^^

Concerning New Guild:

Ok as far creating a sub-branch its stil gonna take a lil time, however we need an appropriate name, tha funds which is possible to get, and to choose a main GM and also 2-3 people mayb from SA to join to help with tha running of it.

The candidates are: Hades, Ricky, Hope, Magiik, and as I said if needs be I will bring my main bak to this guild and switch my alt to my other.

The sub-guild could hold tha lower lvls and tha Main the higher lvls so when ppl in tha new guild reach a certain lvl they will b transferred to tha main, etc.

The names that are to be consdered so far, are on the 2nd post here.


Concerning Events!

This was tha initial list however all events have now been put on hold until further notice.

Guild Event: The Xen Tours/Journey through Xen
Journey through Xen/the Xen Tours allows members to explore the many different regions of the Xen Continent in a guild party led by a Guild Master. The tours will essentially start in one town and end in another, but the tours can also be through the various dungeons in Xen. Depending on the destination and route taken, the journey may be quite perilous and should not be taken lightly. Should you be daring and adventurous enough to participate in these excursions, make sure that you come fully prepared.

Xen Tours:
Brynhild to Essene/Essene to Brynhild (Level 40+)
Brynhild to Candyvault/Candyvault to Brynhild (Level 30+ or level 45+ depending on the route taken)
Brynhild to Jottunheim (Level 50+)
Essene to Candyvault (Level 40+)
Essene to Eir/Eir to Essene (Level 50+)
Eir to Candyvault (Level 50+)
Eir to ?????? (not sure where east eir leads to x.x)
The Mythril Mines (Level 45+)
Cobalt Mines (eh heh..prolly won't be doing this one for a while)
Lost Brynhild (yeah..prolly won't be doing this anytime soon either)
Sleepless Grave (we'll prolly never do this one, but one can dream lol)

Things to bring:
1. Other guild members. It wouldn't do to have a guild excursion with only one or two people. Bring your friends in the guild so that the journey is safer and more exciting.
2. LOTS of HP and MP potions. In these excursions, you WILL have to fight if you want to complete the tour. So come prepared.
3. Trackers, return scrolls, warp scrolls. During the excursion, you may find a need to lighten your load or restock on potions. Make sure you have these three items so you can do this without jeopardizing the excursion)
4. Anti-death penalties, if you have them. Some of these excursions will be extremely dangerous and some will not be without deaths. While there will most likely be people who can revive you in your party, you may want to bring some anti-death penalties in case things go sour.

Guild Event: Rescue Mission
In Rescue Mission, guild members will have to find a pet/GM on their alternate(s) in various locations of Xen. Clues will be given to the guild members and the first few who can locate the pet/GM will win a prize. Prizes will be determined based on the amount of time used up before the pet/GM is located and the difficulty of the event. Prizes can range from a token amount of kron, to ywm, various quest items, and possibly even xens O.O. Concerning Guilds:


The name of the new guild has been finalised, ty. It will be called Scions of Zodiac/ SZ.

It will have a lvl req of 60+ for all classes, however certain long standing & and new members of SA will be exempt from this and therfore it will not affect your chances of getting in.

The Gm of SZ will be Hades! (he has accepted tha title of Main GM)

The Gm of SA will be ME! (i have confirmed this)

Also for SA i think tha lvl req should be 40+ for now.

Members to be transferred to the new guild atm are:

Event:

urk...I know I sent you the rough drafts for the guild events, but you didn't have to publicize 'em yet o.o Oh well..guess it would be necessary for the other GMs and guild members to add their own remarks on them and hopefully suggest guild events that we can use. And yeah, I'd like to reiterate what shanks said. All righty then. I guess the first order of business is to come up with a new guild name >.< This...is gonna take a while....Here is a compilation of all the names that have been suggested. Nothing has been removed and nothing has been added..yet..So I'm going to ask all the members to please be serious when picking out names that you want and names that you don't want. We first have to eliminate all names that won't work for very obvious reasons and I guess we'll just have to wittle down the list little by little until we finally come up with something. It's either this, or we just have the GMs come up with a name. So I'm asking everyone to go about this in a rational and mature manner. *These names can be found in SA's main thread, but since that is basically a thread of randomness and spam, I've taken the liberty of posting them here on our reform thread so that we can come to a decision as to what name we should have. First, we should eliminate all names that are obvious to remove and we'll go from there. Again, please go about this with some respect and maturity. The GMs are working as hard as they can to make the guild better for all members and it's kind of hurtful when members start mocking our efforts and making all our work nothing more than some silly joke*

well...I didn't delete any names from the lists given in the other thread. But I'd imagine there are at least 10-20 names that need no debate on their removal. I mean, you can easily tell which ones were meant to be serious and which ones were meant as jokes. So when all the GMs get here, we might as well procceed with the first purge of names from that master list. Of course, any feedback from the members before we do this would be greatly appreciated.

Nah, no worries. I want the guild to be fun and entertaining too, it's just that when we have to plan and work, we need to do it lol. We can joke around and kill each other all the time, but during the very few times when we need to plan things out..that's when we need to cut back a little on the fun and games until everything is squared away. Since I'm still here, I might as well cut the list so people won't comment on the same things. I'm going to sleep soon but I should be back in about five hours. So for all the GMs, if you're online in like..five hours, we'll commence the first purge. Guild members are also invited to intend (unless another GM says otherwise) provided that you're on your best behavior the entire time so we don't have a fiasco like yesterday x.x

yeah well, I don't really have a problem with the members speaking out. I mean, yeah, there are obvious choices that we would remove, but it's a comfort to know the other guild members are showing a sense of responsibility and concern over the guild. Anyway, I asked the SA people (those who were on at least) to take a look at the list and point out names that we would remove. So, it's not really much of a problem.

if we combine the two names from angelkairis list Angelic Requiem and Demonic Requiem, We could name the Guild A&D Requiem stands for Angelic & Demonic Requiem. i Would like that name alot if we had something like that ^^

IDK how many characters you can put in the guild name but if you would be able to fit that whole name in that would be nice or use the abbreviation i used. gives a good balance for those who are for the good and for the evil sides XD right . tell me what you guys think and get back to me on it ^^

erm...well...heh..very long story x.x For one thing, we're completely reforming SA. Our first course of action was removing all players who were inactive or are on SoS but don't contribute to the guild chats. Secondly, we have planned out a number of guild events which are still a work in progress. We'll prolly start these events when we straighten SA out. Which brings us to item three: We're going to ditch SA completely and make a new guild. One that people will be attracted towards, draws attention, gains reputation in the SoS world, and doesn't have a typo in it >.< So right now, our priority is getting a guild name that will suit EVERYONE in the guild as well as appeal to players in SoS-basically we need a guild name that will make people WANT to join. Not a name that is repulsive, controversial, or just won't work.

As for the guild name AD Requiem, it actually sounds pretty cool, but I'm not sure if other people would go for it. Well, at any rate, we still have time before the first purge. We'll see what ideas are placed at the table and go from there.

So ummm, I'm bored here at work...sooo I've been thinking of some guild ideas, and I think I found one thats pretty cool:

Name: Twisted Hearts (unique!)

Description: I'm intentionally trying to stay away from religious beings, while still maintaining the duality of light/dark, good/bad, pure/tainted. I think the guild image would really stand out, because the image of the heart is iconic and well known, and the basis of this idea is kind of thought provoking. What is a dualistic/twisted heart?

Why: Because I think the image (potential) and name will really standout and leave an imprint, plus its really recognizable. No offense to anyone else, but I find so many guild names cliche and superficial. It all about finding the flashiest words, with the most syllables, and it rhymes :S E.g. Heavenly Souls - Serenity Eclipse - or Magical Dragons of Iceland. Sure they may sound good, but it lacks substance, and sounds like everything else. My 2cents.

Here is the image that inspired me. I imagined one half being black/rimmed in soft white light, while the other side white rimmed in soft black light. Red and blue would pop too.

Red - passion, anger, violence, courage, ferocity, etc.

Some members spoke up for the complete abandonment of any religious mumbo jumbo and some possible themes were discussed. We see this as an opportunity to not just reform as previously mentioned but to completely break away from what once was. Names dont have to have ANY dark or light influence Imho and if we can move away from that i think we would be better for it. The dark/light cliche has been used countless times and we should never allow ourselves to become slaves to regularity. I guess if you could call this the politics of SA i would be rather liberal and striving for change :p.

Anyhoo, it was also brought into more light the idea of not ditching SA all together by having a few key members stay behind to build it back up. The new guild would be a sub guild off of SA it seems. A sub guild from a guild that was sub to begin with. :D I like it.

We had fun during ithe meeting but you could detect a very serious undertone from those involved. And yes Angel, i was on my best behavior xD Even Fuad kept in line o.O

yes, I'm still alive x.x Comp died at 10pm PST. so I was gonna just leave it alone until midnight. only problem was, I had two hours to kill, and somehow my brain made a serious error by concluding that the best way to kill those two hours of time was to study a statistics textbook x.x I found myself waking up at 6am PST. my bad...>.< anyway, sounds like the meeting went fairly well, sorry I wasn't able to be there. So i guess we're keeping SA huh? wow..then that hunt for guild names all seems arbitrary now x.x oh well. Since we arent completely ditching SA like I was expecting, guess not much really has to change. though I'm sure most of you are aware of, but the guild events are still on, and that includes the guild trials. Everyone in the guild must meet shanks' level requirement (which is 50+ if I'm not mistaken) and must fulfill and certain number of criteria to stay in the guild (don't worry, nothing serious). We just want to see how well you participate on and off the battlefield. Guild events will mainly consist of guild parties so we need to test how well you can fight/support the party in a variety of situations. Furthermore, we also want to see how well you interact with other guild members in parties and in the guild chat. We don't want boring people but we don't want people who would antagonize others (...huh..then why i am in this guild...hmmm....meh...oh well). Anyway, more info will be given out later since whatever the heck I just said on it either makes no sense or..yeah..just..doen'st make any sense (I need caffeine dang it -_-). woohoo! we finally have Hades on the forums! XDDD anyway, I think using the word Zodiac as a component in the guild name would be a great idea. I don't think it should stand alone though, but using Zodiac in part of the name would be a new idea; one that would be different from the themes of light and dark since it appears no one is going for a name with those elements in it anymore. I'm sure we could use the word Zodiac in some combination of words that would give us a pretty cool guild name that is a neutral theme and will still interest other people. I'd suggest some names but my brain has been shot all day so making me think atm prolly wouldn't result in mcuh x.x

Archons of (the?) Zodiac - "Archons are rulers or masters of something. In many instances they are beings of supreme power, and are often considered planar entities who live in their own realm of existance, away from the mortal world. I think the rank system could be very cool, since there are more celestial/planar beings."

kay, well...after a little brainstorming session with Magiik and myself (Hades included partially but not fully since he was aoeing) we came up with yet another name for the sub-sub-branch guild (still not used to that concept x.x). I know we've a bunch of names already, but after Hades suggested using the term "zodiac" in the guild name, it got me and magiik thinking. And our result: Scions of Zodiac. I'm sure most, if not all of you reading this are going, "Scions of Zodiac? what the heck is that?" Well, I'll explain it to you and give you a number of reasons why we think this would be the ideal guild name.

Breakdown of the name
Scions of Zodiac. Scion is simply an heir or a descendant. Sometimes, it could refer to a younger family member, like a son or daughter. Zodiac as you probably know refers to an imaginary belt in the sky within which the sun, moon, and planets appear to move, and which is divided into 12 equal areas each named after the constellation which is associated with that area. Or put simply, the term Zodiac refers to the cosmos, outer space, the heavens, something along those lines. Thus, by connecting the two, you would literally get "Descendants of the Cosmos" or Descdendants of the Heavens", that sort of thing.

Reasons for the name
1. Most of you probably realized this, but when you first read the name Scions of Zodiac, you were probably wondering what scion even meant, or why the term scion would be connected to the term Zodiac. Well, those feelings of confusion and curiousity is exactly why we would use Scions of Zodiac as opposed to "descendants of the heavens" or something. Most people are unfamiliar with the term scion (most people are unfamiliar with the term zodiac if you can imagine o.o). So naturally, the name would stand out from the rest. That mysterious, unknown aspect of the name would draw out people's attention, making it more identifiable or recognizable. From what I've heard, you have all wanted a name to stand out, to be different, out-of-the-ordinary. Well, what could be more out-of-the-ordinary than a name with terms that people may not not fully understand or know of. This unknown factor would naturally draw out more attention to the guild which would be of great use to use when developing our reputation.

2. One of the things the guild has pretty much agreed upon is to not have a name that directly signifies a dark theme, light theme, or a combination of the two. The name Scions of Zodiac does not directly signify these themes but if you were to go into an in-depth look into the name, which I am doing so now since I don't have caffeine in my system again -_-, you would see that Scions of Zodiac could be intepreted in a number of ways. First, you could say Scions of Zodiac is neutral, not affiliated with light or dark, because the cosmos, our universe, is a neutral ground ruled neither by good nor evil. Another intepretation would be that Scions of Zodiac actually meant Scions of Celestial entities, descendants of unearthly beings. Again, this does not fully represent evil nor does it fully represent good. It could work either way. Sure, celestial beings are seen as pure and good, but like Lucifer and the fallen angels of heaven, there are celestial beings who are also evil in nature, thus, the name Scions of Zodiac could be neutral, or it could relate to dark beings or light beings. At any rate, it doesn't directly associate itself to the themes of darkness and light and therefore satisfies that criteria.

3. I brought this up in the last paragraph (sorry i'm writing so much..this is why you don't get me started talking on something..cuz if you do..I can talk for a pretty long time...x.x) but I mentioned before that Scions of Zodiac could mean Descendants of the heavens, but 'scion' as one of its definitions also signifies like a daughter or son-a younger member of a family. In this sense, we imply that Scions of Zodiac means that we are descendants of celestial beings, whom we all know have infinite power. One of the criteria for suggested guild names was also something that represented power. What could be more powerful than being associated with being whose power is derived from the heavens, the purest, strongest source of energy? Celestial beings are known to have unimaginable power as their source of strength is the cosmos, the infinite expanse that is virtually limitless. Thus, their power is also limitless, making them undefeatable. So, in a sense, Scions of Zodiac is a representation of unimaginable and unwavering strength, two ideas that we wanted our name to portray.

T_T) Anyway, that's what we discussed like..what..an hour or two ago? So, it was just an idea that we had, not sure if anyone is gonna go for it or not, but i figured we'd leave that open for you to decide. Please give your feedback on the name, NOT my uncanny ability to ramble on and on until someone wants to either shoot themselves or me in the head >.> Just post your comments on the name and if people hate the idea, we'll discard it. Well I really like the idea, we keep things on the mystical side, in a sense, and we also find more of a grey area. There IS no good or evil, only the goals that we are trying to accomplish. If your method of obtaining something or of reaching a goal is a little more....violent and sadistic than most then that just means your a little more proactive bwahaha.

Think about it Guys.

It dabbles a little bit into what everyone generally wanted. Ricky you get your celestial theme, Angel does too, me and tiddy wanted a name that was creative, no so cliche, and overwrought, and I think Scions of Zodiac do that. The neutrality is perfect to an outside eye, and can be something totally different from the inside.

All I ask is that you give this an honest chance to see if you could like it. It's catchy, no one else has it, and it has some umpf behind it. We need a guild name. No more dallying.

Well I really like the idea, we keep things on the mystical side, in a sense, and we also find more of a grey area. There IS no good or evil, only the goals that we are trying to accomplish. If your method of obtaining something or of reaching a goal is a little more....violent and sadistic than most then that just means your a little more proactive bwahaha.

yeah..that's the thing..I talked about this with magiik and he seemed to agree. If we can get shanks' approval then we'll probably do it, but you're right. Most of our members don't even bother to look at the forums. So we thought it might be better if we only had members in the guild who are both active in-game and on the forums. We could use this as another piece of criteria that potential members must meet to get into the guild. Dunno if you want to do it that way, but I'd rather have people in the guild who do in fact use the forums because we'll always have announcements and events posted on the forums. We could make an announcement on the in-game guild announcement, but then we'd have to say "check the forums for more details" or something since we can't post all the info on there. And a lot of people don't even go to the meetings. Part of the reason is they're just lazy or don't care, but for others the time difference affects them too much. We could schedule a meeting that is convenient for say half the members, but for the other half it's a time that is the most inconvenient for them. I couldnt stand not using the forum as often as i do haha. If im not lurking in the guild section im off in the class sections or just checkin out whats up in the general area.

But thats off topic lol. Well you guys have my vote, for what its worth. It seems a lot of people like the idea, but we need all the GMs to agree to it before we actually take steps into creating it. And of course, we still need the rest of SA to approve of it as well =/ But then again...It seems SA randomly got new members, so perhaps we don't need everyone's approval? yeah well, I don't really have a problem with the members speaking out. I mean, yeah, there are obvious choices that we would remove, but it's a comfort to know the other guild members are showing a sense of responsibility and concern over the guild. Anyway, I asked the SA people (those who were on at least) to take a look at the list and point out names that we would remove. So, it's not really much of a problem.

kay, well, looks like we're getting lotsa feedback from the guild members (thanks for all your ideas and suggestions! Keep 'em coming please! ^^) so..um...are we gonna have another meeting to shorten that massive list of names? =/ I'm not saying this one meeting will result in us having a guild name already, but we could prolly try taking some steps to get to that point as quickly as possible. Ok so, since no post has been made yet can I tell a little bit about what went on during the meeting last night (This morning)? Hmm<.< ok then, i will.

We did NOT go into any specific names for the guild and the list is STILL just as long, if not longer. Some members spoke up for the complete abandonment of any religious mumbo jumbo and some possible themes were discussed. We see this as an opportunity to not just reform as previously mentioned but to completely break away from what once was. Names dont have to have ANY dark or light influence Imho and if we can move away from that i think we would be better for it. The dark/light cliche has been used countless times and we should never allow ourselves to become slaves to regularity. I guess if you could call this the politics of SA i would be rather liberal and striving for change :p.

Anyhoo, it was also brought into more light the idea of not ditching SA all together by having a few key members stay behind to build it back up. The new guild would be a sub guild off of SA it seems. A sub guild from a guild that was sub to begin with. :D I like it.



I havn't realli discussed this with tha other Gms but since I am tha 2nd person who was put in SA i don't wish ot see it diminish so idc what any1 says it stays <.<

It will not be sold, del, etc under any circumstances. That option is now out of tha question.

Not really sure how many people will be transferred but I think it's safe to assume that the people who have shown interest in the new guild will be its first members. At this point, I'd say those people are Hades, Ricky, Magiik, Tiddy, and myself. Still haven't heard anything from Hope and shanks might transfer one of his chars into the new guild so we can prolly expect 5-6 members in the new guild. I'm not sure if shanks mentioned this or if he wants to even use this idea, but I suggested making the new guild have a higher level requirement..sort of make it like an "elite" branch of SA. Like...SA would have a lvl requirement of like..40+ and the new guild, whatever it's gonna be called would have a lvl requirement of say...50+. Like I said, don't know if you wanna use this idea or not, just thought I'd put the thought out and see what everyone thinks.

I see it the opposite lol. It seems that SA, being the older more well known guild should be the strong end with SOZ being the lower end. It IS a sub guild after all. Maybe this would be a chance to get weaker members (tho not TOO weak) and bring them up the right way lol. Make strong guild relations from a slightly lower lvl requirement and make SA the big un and RAISE SAs lvl requirement. They not only have to reach the lvl but the GMs of SOZ would have to see them as active enough, personable and friendly and good enough at the game to really know what they are doing. Tho personally i could go either way....<.< I just really want to be in the new guild but my lvl isnt exactly what you would call "elite". Tho i could stay in SA i suppose and help with the weaker tier ^^

Guild name: Could anyone please restate the main names chosen first of all?
The guild name should represent us together. A name that anyone would like. A name that wouldn't turn people away due to the fact that they dont like it. It must not have contained anything that is offensive to others. Spelled correctly.... We must all vote... not just a "few selected bunch". Most people do not in fact after all check out the forums. Either they do not want to or just the fact that it is too time consuming. Although we would like a total vote on this. It is not in fact a stated rule that we must all come on to the forums to vote. We can mention the names in the guild to whoever logs on. It would take like what 5 mins tops to restate all the names to this said person. Whats the harm in that.

Guild emblem: Ok short and simple. Match the guild name with this. Have it look good. But of course WE NEED THE NAME FIRST.

Guild leader: Hmm ok so as to the fact as picking one... did you all just volunteer Hades? As much as i appprove of this, you cant just assume this. Unless you did in fact ask him and he did say yes. lol knowing Dad...he can act drastic measures for this. Since when can you just assume these things.

As a matter of fact, it is still about "us" the guild is not just the voice of maybe as i said before a certain few people. Is a random sport team run by one player only is that 1 player the most important? Nope not really, it takes a group effort to win. Well we should try to gain this "win". If this process takes longer than expected so be it. At least we would get it right rather than heving regret for not helping out. Give everyone a chance first. The guild is really minor since we are just a big abnormal family. Really if any of you truely care about one of each other. The point of the guild should be just to bring us together. So whatever the name is just remember the point of it. Not to be the new "hotshot" guild, but jsut to stay together. To have new family members join. To make new friends. To level together. To share moments. Ect.~

well..we've been trying really hard to get members to voice their opinions, but either the members don't care or aren't on. The "selected bunch" isn't a selected bunch at all, just a small number of people who have shown a lot of interest in the idea of a new guild and are willing to commit to it and dedicate themselves to it. We aren't trying to break the guild apart or anger anyone with these plans, we just wanted to make the guild better for everyone. The original idea was to abandon SA completely and make a new guild so that we could get more active members who'd WANT to be in that guild. As we saw in one of our first meetings, no one wanted to be recruited into SA because not only did the name have a typo but some people could see at as offensive or repulsive. We figured if we could make a new guild altogether with a better name that would suit ALL people, we'd have more active members. If we could obtain this then we could make the guild more fun with a number of guild parties and guild events. It was only until recently that people wanted to keep SA and make the new guild a sub-branch. While we do want to keep SA, we still think this sub-branch is a good idea, we'd expand our "territory" so to speak and make our guild family larger. With more people, we could do more activities and have more fun. Those were our motives for wanting this guild...it was never meant to isolate the strong from the weak or to break apart friendships. We were just playing with ideas to make the guild better. I'm sorry if our ideas weren't good enough for you or were just completely out of line, but that was why we wanted people to be active in the forums in the first place, so people could see what was going on and add their input on it.

Hope..Hades is just a nominee for the guild master position..A lot of people believe he has qualities that would make him an excellent leader and that was why he is listed as a candidate for the title. Of course, magiik and ricky are also over level 66 so they are also candidates for guild master. We didn't say Hades was going to be the guild master, we just said he was one of the people to be considered as guild master. If he declines then that's all right. We would want a leader who actually wants the position. We would never force him to do something against his will. We simply nominated him as a candidate for guild master and he could accept or decline. Nothing more. The only reason why some of us (or maybe it was just me) pushed the idea along was because we really thought Hades would make a great leader. And he was there when were discussing this so I don't know why he acted so surprised when this was mentioned. If he really hates the idea then whoever supported his leadership will naturally back down. It's that simple. We never meant any ill will from this nor did we want to upset or anger anyone. Again, we just wanted to enhance the experience of being a member in our guild(s) and make the game more fun and exciting for everyone.

I'm sorry...I didn't know you felt that way about those who wanted a new guild....If I or anyone who supported the guild acted in a way that could be described as heartless, inconsiderate, or immoral, then I apologize. Again, I don't think anyone meant any ill will from this, we just wanted to make the game more enjoyable. I guess you see it in a completely different manner if you truly believe that those in favor of this new guild are egoists who care about no one else other than themselves. I'll apologize on their behalf and take full responsibility as I've done it the past. I've always done my best to make the guild enjoyable and fun for all. No...you've said enough...I think it's obvious that you oppose this idea and look upon those who supported it with disdain and maybe even hate. As I said before, I'll take the blame for any damage this may have caused and I'll plead that the proposal be terminated immediately if you truly are against this idea. I just thought it would be a nice change to start off with a clean slate and restart the system so that we could enhance the gameplay and experience of our guild members. If my plans made me seem like I am inconsiderate and heartless than I'm sorry. The guild name should represent us together. A name that anyone would like. A name that wouldn't turn people away due to the fact that they dont like it. It must not have contained anything that is offensive to others. Spelled correctly.... We must all vote... not just a "few selected bunch". Most people do not in fact after all check out the forums. Either they do not want to or just the fact that it is too time consuming. Although we would like a total vote on this. It is not in fact a stated rule that we must all come on to the forums to vote. We can mention the names in the guild to whoever logs on. It would take like what 5 mins tops to restate all the names to this said person. Whats the harm in that.

Guild emblem: Ok short and simple. Match the guild name with this. Have it look good. But of course WE NEED THE NAME FIRST.

Guild leader: Hmm ok so as to the fact as picking one... did you all just volunteer Hades? As much as i appprove of this, you cant just assume this. Unless you did in fact ask him and he did say yes. lol knowing Dad...he can act drastic measures for this. Since when can you just assume these things.

Like really though you jsut keep telling him oh Hades as leader what do you want. Its like having a president that doesnt want it. Ok.... Well for my own personal views..... the topic of this new "reform" is being overpressed. If as a whole if we really wanted the new guild it would have happened by now. As a matter of fact, it is still about "us" the guild is not just the voice of maybe as i said before a certain few people. Is a random sport team run by one player only is that 1 player the most important? Nope not really, it takes a group effort to win. Well we should try to gain this "win". If this process takes longer than expected so be it. At least we would get it right rather than heving regret for not helping out. Give everyone a chance first. The guild is really minor since we are just a big abnormal family. Really if any of you truely care about one of each other. The point of the guild should be just to bring us together. So whatever the name is just remember the point of it. Not to be the new "hotshot" guild, but jsut to stay together. To have new family members join. To make new friends. To level together. To share moments. Ect.~

If thats the case hope. what i will do is talk to hades personally and ask him if he really wants to go with our plan to become a gm of SOZ. if he does he does if not then thats fine too. he does have an opinion in this too which i will respect as well. From last i heard ppl were gonna vote for a gm between hades and me if you guys picked hades already thats fine. But i know for sure that i would be more than happy to become a main gm of SOZ if you guys need me for that, if not i dont mind either, i can help SOZ from the sidelines with my knight and put my acolyte in the SA. Only problem if i were to become gm is that 5 out of my 7 days(tues-sat i work in afternoon) i dont come on when most ppl are on so i need supporters to help kee me informed of whats going on and i think hades, angel, tiddy, magiik are the ppl who can accomplish that since you guys come on in times im not on and have good intellect on what goes on in the SA.

And yes for me i do truly care for this guild alot and I have come to like our crazy abnormal family of ours. that what makes playing this game all the more enjoyable and i would like that to continue in the future as well and i will do all that i can to make that happen

Consider this my last action regarding the new guild until next week. I've some serious school and health issues that I need to deal with so I'll probably be out of commission for a while (Hope, I'm not leaving because of your last post. I asked you to give your opinion on that matter and you did. I can't be mad at you for voicing your opinions, especially after I was on your case to do so). Anyway, I'll try to summarize everything that's happened over the course of the reformation plan and if I left anything out, I'll ask the other people who supported the idea to come forth and fix whatever errors I made. I don't think I can do it myself since my eyes have been burning, my fever's worsening, and my migraine is getting to be more painful than normal...so..while I'm still conscious, here's everything, or at least most of what has happened.

1. Idea for a new guild proposed. The reason for this was because we thought that SA wouldn't attract members, let alone active ones because of the typo and the controversial revolving around the name Satan's Angels (Think about it...anything having to do with Satan and then combine it with something pure and holy like the image of angels would certainly raise a lot of controversy for religious and non-religious people alike). So, we proposed that we would create a new guild and ditch SA completely. The guild would be gone but the people would all be in one place, which was all that really mattered. We'd all still be together, and we'd have a new guild that would attract more active people so that the guild would be even more fun and exciting.

2. Ideas for guild events were proposed. The two events that we currently have are on the first page of this thread, and we also have the "Guild Trials" which Shankman will explain later, since it is his event. Again, we want to make the guild fun and exciting for all members and we figured having these kinds of events with small prizes like ssf, ywm, kron, etc would allow us to acomplish this goal.

3. Names were proposed for the new guild. You can find the very first list of names we had on one of the posts in this thread. But Shankman has posted the most recent revision of that list. he took the liberty of eliminating most of the names so we'll prolly decide on a guild name from the list that Shankman has included in the first post of this thread. Of course, we'd welcome more ideas and input from the members so we'll wait a little longer before we finalize anything.

4. SA would be kept and the new guild would be nothing more than a sub-branch of SA. Apparently there were some people who wanted to keep SA so the idea of making the new guild a sub-branch and keeping SA was proposed. At this point, this will be the system that we'll use if we do make the new guild.

5. Name for new guild was proposed. While we already have a massive list of potential names for the new guild, Magiik and I, using Hades' idea as a base, we came up with Scions of Zodiac. Explanation and Description of this name can be found in one of the posts in this thread. Sorry...I'll have to ask you to find it on your own time since I can feel myself starting to lose consciousness again....But anyway...at least five of us have agreed on this being the name, but nonetheless, it has been included in the revised master list of potential guild names so that we can all decide as a group what name we want.

That's basically where we are at this point...yesterday I was under the impression that the entire plan for the new guild was gonna be scrapped but I guess the new guild is still on. We just need to decide as a group who will lead the guild and what the guild name will be. For guild leader, the candidates are Hades (who may not be accepting the nomination for this title), Ricky, Magiik, Hope (though she might stay with SA, not sure if she wants to go to the new guild or remain in SA), and shankman (who has agreed to send his main to either the new guild or SA, depending on where his main is needed the most). Essentially, these people are candidates on the simple grounds that they have contributed a lot to the guild and are over level 66. That is the basic criteria for being a candidate and that is why their names are up for the position. Whether they choose to accept the nomination or not is another story. Again, the only reason why the previously mentioned people are candidates is because they are over level 66 and have made a number of contributions to the guild. Just because they are on the list for future guild master doesn't necessarily mean they have agreed to the nomination, so in the near future, there will most likely be a formal ballot with only people who want the title.

Sorry if none of this makes any sense....it's hard for me to organize my thoughts clearly when I feel like someone's driving a giant nail through my head. Not really sure how many people will be transferred but I think it's safe to assume that the people who have shown interest in the new guild will be its first members. At this point, I'd say those people are Hades, Ricky, Magiik, Tiddy, and myself. Still haven't heard anything from Hope and shanks might transfer one of his chars into the new guild so we can prolly expect 5-6 members in the new guild. I'm not sure if shanks mentioned this or if he wants to even use this idea, but I suggested making the new guild have a higher level requirement..sort of make it like an "elite" branch of SA. Like...SA would have a lvl requirement of like..40+ and the new guild, whatever it's gonna be called would have a lvl requirement of say...50+. Like I said, don't know if you wanna use this idea or not, just thought I'd put the thought out and see what everyone thinks.

Okies first of all I said this:

a) If u would like me to, i will bring my main bak and transfer my alt to FE. Vice-versa, i'll also do my best to lvl my alts more, atm i been goin crazy on my Knight lolz~

b) i dn't remb if i mentioned this either but yh tha higher lvls in one branch and tha lower in another, they get transferred at certain lvl, etc. ( I know of some guilds alrdy who do this).

c) Considering SA is main i say they should hold higher lvls, well jus a thought! lemme knw yr opinion :)

I see it the opposite lol. It seems that SA, being the older more well known guild should be the strong end with SOZ being the lower end. It IS a sub guild after all. Maybe this would be a chance to get weaker members (tho not TOO weak) and bring them up the right way lol. Make strong guild relations from a slightly lower lvl requirement and make SA the big un and RAISE SAs lvl requirement. They not only have to reach the lvl but the GMs of SOZ would have to see them as active enough, personable and friendly and good enough at the game to really know what they are doing. Tho personally i could go either way....<.< I just really want to be in the new guild but my lvl isnt exactly what you would call "elite". Tho i could stay in SA i suppose and help with the weaker tier ^^

As for the new guild...it will come into fruition. Even if I have to make the bloody thing myself. I wanted this to be a group effort, and unfortunately it is only a small group of people making decisions, but that is because they are the only ones who are taking an active role. And if that's going to be the case, then so be it. At least small progress is some progress.

Good i like to see how ppl to understandings ^^ We got to keep our bond strong for the sake of this guild and all of the ppl who are in it. gotta make a good impression on those who are in the guild but are still new to it and guide them :D

also as for tha small amount of ppl who r involved i think mayb were all thats necessary since we r tha longest runnin members and were most likely gonna b tha ones who hav tha most say in it and are gonna hav responsibilty over it.

However input from all is good at tha end of tha day.

And also trust me when i say its better not to rush things, i rather we take it slowly, than rushing it. Things it may end up a disaster if we do.

okay...so I'm feeling a little better, and after looking at the previous posts...I think it's time we arranged another guild meeting >.< I know people want to take things slowly and not rush into this, but I think we should at least have some conclusive idea of what's going to be happening. There's a lot of talk about stuff that could happend or what we plan to do, but from what I can see, we haven't really finalized any of these plans. I'm not sure if anyone else feels this way, but I think we should start organizing our ideas to make some kind of conclusive idea of what we want and need to do. After that, we can take as much time as we need implementing those plans. I just feel that we have all these ideas, but we haven't really had the time to sit down and organize them all so that we can have a better understanding of what we need to do. Anyway, I'm just suggesting we have a guild meeting so that we can outline a course of action and organize the ideas that have been proposed to make a rough draft of our plans. We've spent a lot of time brainstorming, and I think it's time we start formulating an outline or rough draft of just what exactly we will be doing.

Anyway, I'm thinking that the meeting will prolly be on Sunday at 10PM PST or 1AM EST. Of course, we'll change the day and time so that we can accomodate the most amount of people. Below are some topics/questions that we probably will be discussing in this meeting.

mhmm, i personally think the guild lvl req should differ, one lower one higher, i was thinkin SA tha higher, SoZ tha lower but that can always be altered.

I guess i'll b sorting out tha trials part, i'm a lil undecided how i will do this atm, if i do shouts for ppl within a certain lvl to do it at certain times, or we split tha diff lvl ppl with a diff member of SA and take them to wherever and monitor them. Stil tryna work this out.

As for tha other events they look good, but yh nd to tie up losse ends such as location, when it will b scheduled, what prizes will b, etc.

1. We should set up a clear list of what is going to be accomplished at the meeting. This will give more organization to the while process, and will also set us in a clear direction. I think it's important we make dates for certain things to be accomplished, and stick to them even if it a minority doing the pushing. Procrastination will only serve as a hindrance.

2. During the meeting I would suggest some sort of structure for the meeting. In that it can become VERY confusing when everyone is talking at once, that it becomes difficult to stay on topic and whats being said by whom. For this reason, I encourage we use a speaker/listener system. For example: our last meeting was in CV in the pool. In the center is a circle, and whoever is in the circle is the one who can talk to whoever else is in the circle (most likely that other person will be a GM/GL). If someone would like to have a turn at speaking, simply indicate so by emoticon and switch places.

Well, for now, I'm going to start a TO DO list. Add on to it for things that should be brought up.

THE TO-DO LIST:

1. What is the guild name going to be?
2. Who will volunteer to go into new guild?
3. Who is willing, or wants, to be guild leader?
4. What is the role of the guild. As in what is it's relation to SA and what is it going to accomplish.
5. Funds to create guild. Can everyone pitch in? I suggest we designate someone to be accountant. I don't mind doing it.

I quite agree with you about having some sort of system set up for speaking/listening. Everyone talking at once at the last few meetings was a huge hurdle. Not everyone could get a chance to be heard and those who are very constant, open talkers (such as *coughMyselfcough*) overshadow those that arent so "in your face". I dont mean to be that way but i have a lot to say and it needs to be said or ill explode XD. So yeah, some sort of more formal system, passing the proverbial pebble around so everyone gets a chance to have their say.

The financing of the guild is something i would like to know more about also. I know a lot of people in the guild could afford a couple guilds, let alone one lol but it seems a little unfair to make just one person dig into the old rainy day fund.

Perhaps we should also talk about the guild ranking system once we have a name formally chosen. I for one am excited about the possibilities for guild rank and seeing how we can relate them to the name :D Its one of my favorite aspects of the guild system. Though perhaps that needs to be saved for a meeting another time

I know our current GMs are very good but no one should have to undergo the pressure of moderating more than one guild at a time. Plus it also prevents other guild members from having a chance to move up in the world. This is a good chance to make leaders out of those that a lot wouldnt see as leaders. On top of all of that its just too hard to be active enough to make the guilds as improved as we planned. If a GM has to make plans for both of those..well no one can be more than one place at a time. Lets just discuss it during the meeting lol

Your last paragraph i do agree with. I can be gm of either one of the guild which is fine with me as long as i can oversee both guilds like im doing for forging eternity ill be fine if im only gm of one of those two guilds ^^ so that other ppl have opportunity to become a gm as well. just remember if you guys need my charas in a certain place ill be happy to go there.Personally i would like to have my aco in one guild and my knight in the other guild and i have my neo in FE already.

Lol you are doing a good job at managing two guilds at once but i think that we will be a lot more efficient and be able to get a lot more done if we have seperate GMs :D Firstly, there would be more power, more evenly distibuted so there is automatically less bias involved with the two. Secondly there would be more heads in the mix, and from that there will be more ideas. Plus there will be lighter burdens and time constraints wouldnt be so tough on the multitaskng folk. I have nothing against having an alt in one or the other especially since it will make things run smoother with veteran players supervising but perhaps those alts could just be regular guild members who share wisdom and ideas with the rest. The new GMs would take what the vets have to say into consideration but in the end the decisions would rest upon the new GMs. Just a thought really lol I have more to say about it but ill save it till the meeting ^^

Lol you are doing a good job at managing two guilds at once but i think that we will be a lot more efficient and be able to get a lot more done if we have seperate GMs :D Firstly, there would be more power, more evenly distibuted so there is automatically less bias involved with the two. Secondly there would be more heads in the mix, and from that there will be more ideas. Plus there will be lighter burdens and time constraints wouldnt be so tough on the multitaskng folk. I have nothing against having an alt in one or the other especially since it will make things run smoother with veteran players supervising but perhaps those alts could just be regular guild members who share wisdom and ideas with the rest. The new GMs would take what the vets have to say into consideration but in the end the decisions would rest upon the new GMs. Just a thought really lol I have more to say about it but ill save it till the meeting ^^

Hmm, I agree with Tiddy on this.

Shanks it is obvious how much of an important role you play in this guild. And trust me it is very appreciated. But in the same token I think it is important that GM's be active in game, as they are outside of the game. If we were to start this new guild I personally would like to see all GM's online regularly, so they can lend their strength to the whole of the guild.

But as it is said, we'll see what time brings us.

And yes, me and Tiddy here will be in contact via msn, in the event he is unable to attend the meeting. I really hope we can get a lot accomplished...and speaking on the matter there are a few things I would like to suggest.

1. We should set up a clear list of what is going to be accomplished at the meeting. This will give more organization to the while process, and will also set us in a clear direction. I think it's important we make dates for certain things to be accomplished, and stick to them even if it a minority doing the pushing. Procrastination will only serve as a hindrance.

*Side Note: If you aren't sure when the meeting is because of a time difference, please inform a GM as soon as possible so we can figure out what time you will need to be on for the guild meeting. This is a mandatory guild meeting for ALL members, not just the gms, but if you can't make it for whatever reason, then that's all right. After all, real life is top priority over a fantasy, so it's not a big deal if you can't make it. Just let us know so that we can keep you informed on what's going to happen*

1. The new guild: are we truly going to create it or not?
Comments: Originally, the purpose of this new guild was so that we could gain more members since apparently the name Satan's Angel's isn't exactly attractive among the masses. For one thing, the name has a typo which makes the guild seem...well..noobish (no offense Bobby...just reiterating what some people have said in less words >.>) and the idea of Satan's Angels is kinda..well..not only contradictory but a little controversial as well. And after the last attempt at recruiting people into the guild went...rather...bad...lol..

1a. If we are to make a new guild, will it replace SA entirely or act as a sub-branch?
Comments: Like I said, originally...the new guild was to replace SA but some people wanted to keep SA and make the new guild a sub-branch. We should prolly resolve this matter before we hit the next items.

1b. If the new guild is to be a sub-branch, who will be transferred from SA to the new guild?
Comments: This goes along the lines of a set level requirement for the guilds. Do we want both guilds to have the same level requirement or do we want one guild to have a higher level requirement than another. If the latter, then we need to determine which guild should assume the higher level requirement and which guild should assume the lower level requirement. After that, we can determine the guild leaders with ease.

1c. Who will be leading the guilds?
Comments: Clearly, we need guild leaders who are active in the guild. Therefore, we should have two separate people leading the each guild. After that, we will need to determine the guild masters who will aid the main guild leader in all guild activities. This will probably be determined by preference and the level requirement.

1d. What will be the name of the new guild?
Comments: I think the name Scions of Zodiac will be the name of the new guild but we will need a decision from the entire guild, not five or six people who are actively contributors to the forums.

1e. Guild Purpose, Rules, and Mission
Comments: This is mainly for the forums so it shouldn't take too long to discuss this topic, but we'll need an official description for the guild, what its purpose is, what it strives to do, and the rules for the guild. I'm of course refering to the new guild should we choose to make it but if you want to remake the official guild description and mission of SA, I'm cool with that. But definitely for the new guild if we create it.

1f. Defining Guild rankings
Comments: This...will be painful. Well, naturally, those who have been with SA the longest and are the most active will get the highest of ranks though of course only few will be guild masters. Probably three for each guild at most so we can balance things out. After that, we'll need to discuss the guild ranks and what powers each rank has.

1g. Other guilds? O.o
Comments: Okay...this...can probably be resolved outside the guild meeting..but still..rumors are going around that people are going to create new guilds? I saw someone saying that Hope was gonna make a new guild and then I saw this: 5. Funds to create guild. Can everyone pitch in? I suggest we designate someone to be accountant. I don't mind doing it.
Is he going to create his own guild not affiliated by SA or is he making THE sub-branch guild? If he's making his own guild that isn't affiliated with SA, then it won't breach any implicit contract that SA may have, but if he is, then we need to ensure that all the GMs of SA have agreed on it because I myself have heard nothing of this and if he's trying to take SA's future into his owns hands then..yeah...we've a problem. Furthermore, there are quite a number of guild members who are level 66 or over now. If any of these members are planning on making their own guild, they should probably talk to the GMs of SA if they want the guild to be affiliated with SA. And if they want to assume leadership of THE SA sub-branch, we need to discuss who of these people are right for the job, because this has been established: the guild needs to undergo a change. And we need a leader who is capable of leading this move so that we can improve the guild and make it better than ever.

2. Guild Events
Comments: okay..this should be the easiest item to discuss on the list. What events are we gonna have and when? Currently, we have three events that we will probably have to finalize in the meeting:

a. Guild Trials
Summary: Guild members will be tested on a battlefield that is appropriate for their level in a guild party. This purpose of this exercise is simply to see who is fit to be in the guild and who is not. There are three criteria that will be used to determine if a player will be a member: 1. Activity; how active the person is in-game and possibly in the forums. I know most people could care less about the forums, but whether you want to believe it or not, there actually IS important information on these threads despite all the spam that gets mixed in with the reeeeaaally important stuff. 2. Efficiency in guild parties; most guild events will consist of guild parties so we'll have to see how well you get along with your teammates and how well you hold your own in battle. 3. Social behavior; we want to make the guild as fun and drama-free as possible so we'll be looking at how well you get along with guild members and how social you are.
*Side Note: Don't quote me on any of this because the truth of the matter is, this is Shankman's event so he'll have a more accurate description of the Guild Trials than I have. This is more of a compilation of the information I've received on it, call it my own interpretation of the event, so talk to shankman for the official rules and description of this event.*

b. Pet/GM Hunt
Summary: Put simply, a pet or guild master is lost and guild members have to locate the pet/guild master. All of Xen is fair game for possible locations so this event can take place pretty much anywhere, from the Brynhild Sewers to any of the five towns to the Mythril Mines...Basically...anywhere lol. Hints will be given by a gm and the people who find the pet or GM first will get some prize. This event will be described in more detail when we figure out when the event is gonna be.

c. Guild Excursions through Xen
Summary: Guided by some of the strongest members of the guild, guild members will go on an excursion through various locations of Xen to explore and satiate their thrist for adventure. Excursions can be from one town to another (i.e Brynhild to Jottunheim, Candyvault to Eir, etc), or they can be through a dungeon of Xen (i.e The Brynhild Sewers, the Mythril Mines, the Cobalt Mines...the Sleepless Grave!? O.O...well..doubt that last one will go through but the others are fair game). Fighting will be involved and the excursions can be quite dangerous. So be prepared to fight. This essentially goes along the lines of guild parties for training but instead of just fighting in any map, you'll actually be going on an excursion from point A to point B.

d. Any other suggestions for guild events? I'm thinking...Death match PvPs between guild members or between guilds, maybe events associated with the holidays, like a Christmas event or a New Year's Party, no idea. So if you have suggestions for guild events, let us know.

2. During the meeting I would suggest some sort of structure for the meeting. In that it can become VERY confusing when everyone is talking at once, that it becomes difficult to stay on topic and whats being said by whom. For this reason, I encourage we use a speaker/listener system. For example: our last meeting was in CV in the pool. In the center is a circle, and whoever is in the circle is the one who can talk to whoever else is in the circle (most likely that other person will be a GM/GL). If someone would like to have a turn at speaking, simply indicate so by emoticon and switch places.
Well..first we'll need to establish a sort of..mediator who will lead the discussion. He/she will address a certain topic, explain it, and open the discussion up to guild members. I think you're right that we should emphasize that ONE person speak at a time because after the meeting in CV...yeah..that was disorganized and highly unproductive. If we want things to progress, we need to ensure that this next meeting goes as smoothly as possible, so as much as we may hate the idea of having to "raise our hand" to talk, I think that there's no other way to make the meeting a productive one. If this should be the system we use, I'll have to ask all of you to please be patient with us as we get through this. Remember that the purpose of all this is to enhance the gameplay and guild experience. All of this is to benefit all guild members, so I ask each of you to exercise a sense of seriousness and patience so that the meeting can be productive.

The financing of the guild is something i would like to know more about also. I know a lot of people in the guild could afford a couple guilds, let alone one lol but it seems a little unfair to make just one person dig into the old rainy day fund.
Okay...yeah..so..definitely we'll have to discuss guild member privileges and member boundaries. What members can do, and what the can't do. Those who have been with the guild the longest naturally will have more privileges than those who just joined, but we also have to exercise caution because something like what happened with our main branch Ying and Yang, where someone completely raided the guild inventory and cleaned out the entire thing, can easily happen if we are too careless with the guild rankings. We can only allow the most trusted members to have access to the guild storage and guild "bank" system. The current GMs along with the GMs we assign to the new guild will prolly have to discuss this.

1. I just used the initials SZ because it stands for a possible guilds name (Scions of Zodiac). I tried to the keep the letters ancient looking, as to demonstrate the timelessness of the name.

2. Shield represents us as a force to be reckon with. Something strong and able to withstand the heaviest of blows. It stands for protection and sanctuary.

3. The angel wings at the bottom represents the divinity aspect of the name. That we are celestial, heavenly, beings.

4. I speckled stars at the top of shield pertains to the zodiac/space element of the name. I don't how clear it will be if the image is shrunk. Yah..

5. The golden helmet at top (thought of making it silver) show the wealth of the guild, and how we are akin to nobility. Go figure.

What do you guys think?

Lol...I thought that was already the plan? Our mains would be in the new guild and we'd have our alternate characters in SA to keep tabs on it and to monitor the guild and its members. As far as we're concerned, we're still GMs of SA even though we moved guilds. The two guilds are to be kept together and are not going to be separated, so it only makes sense that we have our alts in SA so that we can continue carrying out our duties as GMs. Of course..our attention will be more focused on SZ so that the new GMs of SA can have their own space, but that doesn't mean we can't go in and check up on the guild every now and then and offer our support to the GMs. Meh..not sure if that made any sense but I'm sure you get what I mean XD

Anyways I've been playing with it for awhile. And that is the new guild's banner/pic thingi. Anyways its not official or anything, just having fun, and seeing what you guys think. And I will explain why certain elements are in it and such.

wow..completely missed this..must have skipped a page or something when I was going through this thread *sweatdrop* Well..not sure about everyone else, but I love it (minus the yellow background but you did say that wasn't supposed to be there so I'll just remind you to remove it if we use this emblem and make the new guild. Anyway..just gonna comment a little on what you said about the emblem.

1. I just used the initials SZ because it stands for a possible guilds name (Scions of Zodiac). I tried to the keep the letters ancient looking, as to demonstrate the timelessness of the name.
I'm not sure if it's possible..but I kinda like having the full name on the guild emblem. Of course...I guess it would just seem redundant since the full name would appear on top of our IGNs, but still..I get the feeling that it might look a little more professional with the full name instead of an abbreviation. Not sure about the rest of you, but to me, abbreviation is just a way to keep things short which sort of implies a sense of laziness or something...Having the full name on it would make it look more formal and professional, but that could just be me. I'll let the others decide on that. As for the lettering, I agree with it looking all ancient-like. It implies a sense of timelessness like you said which is what Scions of Zodiac is all about. Celestial beings, supreme entities that have existed since time immemorial...having the letters written in that kind of ancient text would definitely support that idea of us being aroudn for eternity which doesn't necessarily mean that we're all old, but rather, it represents power and will evoke feelings of awe and wonder to other people.

2. Shield represents us as a force to be reckon with. Something strong and able to withstand the heaviest of blows. It stands for protection and sanctuary.
yup, shield works great for this. One of the interpretations of Scions of Zodiac means "Guardians of the heavens" or something like that..protectors or warriors in short. Furthermore, as in regards to the abbreviation of the guild name SZ, we want the guild to act as a "safe zone" or rather, a safe haven or sanctuary. Thus, a shield would be perfect since it would represent safety and security....but I'm wondering if it would be possible to have a sword in the image as well? Like..have a sword in the middle of the shield pointing down so that the tip of the blade is below the shield, the tang of the blade is above the shield, and the shield will cover the majority of the sword's body. With that image, we'd truly symbolize those elements of strength and power (sword) as well as safety and security (shield).

3. The angel wings at the bottom represents the divinity aspect of the name. That we are celestial, heavenly, beings.
Right, the name Scions of Zodiac can be interpreted as "descendants of celestial beings" which would mean we are descendants of supreme and divine entities. Perfect beings of unparalleled strength and unimaginable power.

4. I speckled stars at the top of shield pertains to the zodiac/space element of the name. I don't how clear it will be if the image is shrunk. Yah..
Yup, Zodiac also refers to astrology or rather, constellations in the sky, so having stars in the emblem would be a great thing to have...but yeah..if you shrink it..they may not be seen...I'm thinking..rather than mere dots to represent the stars..why not make it asterisks? Those might be big enough to be recognized as stars no matter how small the emblem is.

5. The golden helmet at top (thought of making it silver) show the wealth of the guild, and how we are akin to nobility. Go figure.

Like a knight clad in silver armor, a knight is seen as noble and honorable, whereas with gold, as is a golden crown of a king, it would be more of a royal image and that isn't what we're going for..at least...I don't think royalty was the image we wanted to portray...

Well..I think that's about everything. Hope the comments help but of course..you can choose to accept or reject them however you see fit.

Lol...I thought that was already the plan? Our mains would be in the new guild and we'd have our alternate characters in SA to keep tabs on it and to monitor the guild and its members. As far as we're concerned, we're still GMs of SA even though we moved guilds. The two guilds are to be kept together and are not going to be separated, so it only makes sense that we have our alts in SA so that we can continue carrying out our duties as GMs. Of course..our attention will be more focused on SZ so that the new GMs of SA can have their own space, but that doesn't mean we can't go in and check up on the guild every now and then and offer our support to the GMs. Meh..not sure if that made any sense but I'm sure you get what I mean XD

I read your comments, and I will see how it looks after I implemented them. Some may be tricky, since I'm still learning image manipulation, but I don't think it should be too hard.

OK guys. After some suggestions and my own tweaking, this is what I came up with. And yes, I know there is still some yellow, which means its not 100% so please don't state the obvious. Its very tedious doing this.

Changes: I got rid of the knights helm, because I felt it gave too much distinction or opinion about the guild. Plus it sort of unbalances the theme towards good with having angel wings AND a knights helm. I think a demon sword and angel wings is enough. Because I think were are trying to be mysterious. Anywho, this is a guild of duality, or balance of good and evil. So instead a placed a glowing globe, or a sort of star, in its place. Plus it allowed room for text....

I also made the whole back of the shield a sort of space/star background, since it now it will show up more readily (I hope) when shrunk.

I tossed in the evil/demon sword in contrast to the angel wings. Again a duality of good/evil.

Ok what do you all think. Old and New comparison.

Also remember when we use the actual emblem in game we won't b able to see the wording anyway so i don't think its realli necessary.
