What is the "Consortium"? and the "Night of Nikolai"?

Recently I have heard lots of players in-game talking about Consortium, what is that? Also, while running around in Uruga with my noob vendor someone sent me a PM telling me that soon there will be Niokolai's Evening :(

I rarely use forums but there are lots of players that know something that I am ignoring.. is it an event?

Do anyone knows something more specific? :eek:

I play on Apoline, but I have other chars on the other server, (mostly noobs I use them to talk with friends)

the strange thing is that they too told me that sometimes players approach them talking about "Consortium" and the "Night of Nikolai", and I have a lvl 54 archer that is my friend in Bijou that said he saw a guy shouting it on Teva server too, so I think it isn't specific..

Next time if you <or any one else> who will face such situation should take screenshots and send them to support@outspark.
Perhaps this is nothing big, but they might be also some sort of action to hijack peopes accounts.
To be secure NEVER give your account info to no one even if he/she will claim that he/she work for OS.
Outspark do not request your account info because they have all information already :)

I don't know, F4ntome but I have talked to one of my IRL friends that spoke to one of those spammers seems that Consortium is something like a global guild on Isya, involving some players here and there.. while I don't know what Nikolai is :confused: but I am not sure I will look into this..

It's better to be a little paranoid than sorry. And the Outspark staff isn't just going to kick those people into jail or ban them without looking into it.

And if it was a normal request to join a guild... would they really spam up your whisper box like a typical bot? (ie. repeat same message 3x)

I rather chose to be little paranoid in such situation as do something what i may later regret, beside like iLoveless say OS first investigate case and then take actions.
One more thing, fact that false OS message start to appear in our PM boxes is a call for alarm that perhaps something very "unpleasant" is in progress here...

It's not surprising. I was thinking with the amount of bot attacks we receive on the forum I mod... it was only a matter of time until the officials start taking a hit too. D: Really doesn't hurt to be extra careful in such situations.

Besides, looking at Fatal's screenshot it's a classic bot attack pattern. .___.

If you feel this is something to be concerned about, please send screenshots to support and explain the situation. Better to be safe than sorry. Perhaps you should try PMing the name that whispered you.

Spamming peoples whispers is not the way to recruit for whatever you're trying to recruit for.

The way that the request is structured, makes me think of a cult. Not sayingt that is the case but it sounds kind of creepy to me. I would definitely pass and take a screen shot. There is no harm in sending in a report, just explain your worries and if there is something the matter they will find out.
