Why do people call our armour, "The Tin Can"

I don't get why many people use the term ,"Tin Can" to our armour.

Can someone summarize and shed some light onto this?

At Levels 40, 50, and 60, our armor looks like we are wearing tin cans.
It's bulky and ugly, besides the Level 60 armor, which I think looks best out of the "tin can" armor section.

I don't really think they were really ugly, and never seemed to notice that they were that bulky. I always thought they looked really chivalrous and intimidating like the fighters, and I still do.

I kinda wish cleric's got less bulky armor and fighters got the more bulky armor.
After all, we are healers, THEY should need the bulky stuff to 'tank' ;D

And it doesn't look that bad at all, that's just the reason it's called what it is, everyone thinks it's ugly and bulky. :/

Although, at 70+ I'm really starting to like the armor. The 90 armor looks really good in my opinion. ;o It starts getting less bulky, which is nice.

And not exaggerating, just... annoyed how the other classes wear close to nothing and we of all classes get stuck wearing cans for armor.

Yes, but look at the armor before that, they wear close to nothing, male and female wise.
Although, the female 80 fighter armor STILL looks like they are wearing nothing. o.O Male armor starts getting bulky at 80.

Wow you notice to? I try to tell people but they have no idea how its related to the fighter armour XD. I thought they were wearing skirts, and a really really really really really small tube top with a small leather jacket lol. At lv 30 they have very big hips and wear sweater material.

Anyway 70+ is good.

May be the designer is thinking from 34 to 68 the fighter are not so good protecting us poor cleric we take many hit and therefore need more protection.

Really I think cleric should have better armor, supposely we are the one that standing around and look pretty/handsom right?

They look like transformers. Sometimes I laugh at my cleric friends. Though, an archer is also bulky. Short and bulky= Bad combination.

i gotta admit, the armors for cleric b4 lvl 70 is a bit tin canish and pale in terms of color. i am glad that its beginning to change. i found those earlier armor to have very lack of creativity, it seems that the only thing they change is the color for lvl 40, 50 and 60 armor. ~_~;;

Yea 40,50 and 60 both have little creativity. Although the lv 60 one is very well done with the details on it.

WEll yea it's true the picture does look much more feminine, doen't remind me of transformers at all.

Looks somewhat better than a fighters armour.
