I've just recently started playing today and I've noticed that there is no clear description on building any of these character classes. I'm a little more than lost on how things work not by the classic rpg style. [ie str, int, dex] I'd like to know people's opinion on things.
By that I've started a character got him to level 16, forgot to use my stat points and went to the neophyte class. Did I just screw myself over for not using those points or did it even matter due to the distribution? How do you build your swordsman, mage, cleric, thief characters so I have a better understanding.
This being I've -never- played a game where one level equals one stat point so I'm wondering how careful I have to handle my points or if that even matters. If there are different strategies floating around. I've checked the interwebs and yet I have no clear answer to the question I have so thus the reason I'm posting this.
I do hope this also helps someone else other than myself.
