As we all know, the skill's description ingame is very vague, unhelpful, and sometimes misleading. So I wanted to create a more DETAILED skill list. This is so I can understand more of the skills, and it might be helpful for others too.

Feel free to correct or suggest anything, and if it's good, I'll modify the list.

Note: Basically, the higher the level of the skill, the slower the enemy will become.

Description: Shoot the energy of land instead of arrow. Victim loses HP when hit by the energy.

Skill name: Stone Edge
Description: Petrify the target. However, target's ability can change after recovery due to side effect.
Target: Enemy
Necessary item: Arrow
Attribute: Magic

Master (86) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 17 MP/15 sec/20 sec/Target is Stoned and received DEF+10000

Side Effect (on monster): There is about 60% chance that after target recovers from the Stone effect, target movement speed will be reduced drastically (Movement speed -8 probably) but will gain about an equal amount of DEF. This side effect lasts 2-3min. Inflicted target may also receive an increase in ATK as well.
Side Effect (on player): Same as for monster but player doesn't receive the DEF or ATK bonus.

Note: While in Stoned mode, all other status effects are canceled and target HP recovers at a fast rate (only apply to players).

Description: Cast target into delusion with poisoned (not really) arrow. Victim becomes idle.

Description: Spot enemy's weak point and throw a powerful shot. It knocks the target temporarily, but the target wakes up when attacked.

Description: Breaks target's defense. The target loses defense each time of being damaged.

Master (126) . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 36/Instant/10 sec/Increases damage on target by decreasing DEF per hit

Overtrick (on monster): Lasts on monster until successfully damaged 10 times upon infliction.
Overtrick (on player): Same as monster. However defense stat appears increased at first, but drops dramatically upon being damaged. Players who leave PvP under Overtrick will be affected by it until the 10 hit count is completed.

Description: Shoots the target multiple times at once.

But overall, very good thread Teiji, im sure many people will praise you for your hard work and detailed analyse of the archer branch class :)

You are right. Siphon, Poison Arrow, and Phantom Arrow cause the natural healing to heal about 3-5 sec later than it usually heal.

Last judgment is the skill I'm most excited about because in my eye most of the archer skills are useless with the exception of just a few. Anyway I wonder what Last Judgment really does because I don't wanna bring my hopes up and have it crashing down because it will turn out to be one of the many skills I rarely use.

P.S~ Great post! keep up the good work ^^. I wonder if you will consider making a guide to pvp for archers!

I was like you too--looking forward to Last Judgment back then. But when rider used it on me, it wasn't all that good...sorta like how I felt about Marked Point. However, when rider used Sniper Shot on me, the damage was like O.o . Gonna ask him to use the skills again when I get the chance.

About the PVP guide, I'm not a pro pvper myself. I haven't dueled with all the classes and still need more PVP experiences, so I don't wanna embarrass myself.

If you don't mind (and since it got requested on the fighter forums), I'll probably make a skill guide for the fighter ranks (though wanted to master all skills up to warrior before doing so) going along the ideal lines how yours is. Again, nice work! :cool:

Originally I wanted to make a skill list for all classes, but I realized that I haven't play those classes, so how can I do that lol. So in the end, I just stick with the class I know best.

Hmm im sure it does increase their attack Teiji, bak wen i was able to aoe Inkwell, i stoned one of those wooly mobs n it was slow, all the mobs were hittin me 1 and 2, but the slow one was hitting me 8.

Let me advise try stonning a mob for someone aoeing. If that doesn't work, then they might of fixed it without me realising ^^;

Once again kudos on the well compiled list, keep up the hard work.

I will test Stone Edge again when I have time. About Overtrick and other Ranger skills, I think I'll leave them alone until someone actually learn it and test it to be sure.

I let a monster attack me about 20 times to see the range of minimum and maximum damage before Stoned. And I did the same after it got slowed by Stone Edge. I found the same range of minimum and maximum damage. Therefore, I concluded that Stone Edge doesn't give monsters the bonus attack.

Whether it got fixed or was not there in the first place, I don't know. But I did several tests and got the same results, so I'm sticking with my conclusion.

dude i know you retired but i just want to note that stone edge DOES increase the attack of monster. Tested it while aoeing in odalisque or w.e that map is called.

what are the best stats to put on a scout/archer especially at around 25? Someone said to put all my stats in power and stamina, is that true?

The guides in these forums are for Secret of the Solstice, and were designed for such where the lowest level scouts are 45. Since you said around lvl 25 I will assume you are referring to Solstice: Reborn. Please go to the Reborn forums for information regarding that game.

To save you some trouble regarding Reborn Archer stats tho it would be best to go with Pure Agi for now.
