Im sorry if this type of thread is redundant or if Im just being stupid, but Im having some issues logging in. The launcher works all right, the darn thing wont connect to the server! It worked perfectly fine yesterday.
Could it be my firewall? I use MCAfee. I turned it off, but it still wont connect. Is it maintenance? I didnt see any announcements for today.
Again, sorry if Im just being a n00b... ._.;

You're not being a noob. You are actually on the right track. Usually the above error comes from either a virus scanner or a firewall. I'm afraid I've never had this issue so I'd be flying blind in a sense in trying to help. If you still can't connect after McAfee, try checking your firewall as that would be a more likely reason behind the connection than the virus scanner.

This is upsetting! Im already so into this game too...
Im not sure how to work McAfee, does anyone know how to disable it entirely? I mean besides removing it from my computer.
And everytime I cant connect, I cant get Fiesta to close. Even when I press the escape button. Someone said I can close it with Task Manager, where do I open it?
Sorry, Im just not too good with computers...

Hmmm, out of curiosity, how much RAM does your computer have? Usually scraping by on RAM is a reason programs tend to "hang" upon closure. As for McAfee, I think if you right mouse click on the icon on the lower right there on XP you should see an option to disable it. I don't know if that'll help or not as I'm not at home at my computer to say for sure atm.

This may help:
1) Click on "Start" on the lower left of your windows view and click on "Settings"
2) Choose "Control Panel" and a box should pop up. From there look for "System" and click on it. That should bring up a box that'll display how much RAM you have.

That might be why the crashing occurs. I believe FO is a 512 minimal requirement. Maybe if the graphics settings were lowerd it might work.. can't promise though.
