Assist action?

What is this action used for? I tried many times but it does not seem to to anything...

I'm going to guess that it would continually keep a buff spell active on whoever you're assisting... If you can cast buffs. Or healing...

Hum... I thought it would have made my character go fight the same mob as the assist target. But that did not work... I am a cleric, so I will try to see if it actually buff or heal with assist...

Then again, that would mean that it's an action that only clerics can use? that is somewhat strange...

Then again, I could be way off target, and assist will attack something until it's *almost* dead so that solmeone else can get the kill and XP. No idea.

You click on someone who's attacking a monster, then click Assist and your cursor will go over that monster.
