View Full Version : Warrior de-buffs not working

I have had a fair amount of experience with my warrior de-buffs simply not working. I have searched for both debuff and de-buff on the forums, but nothing turned up.

What happens is that I will use the skill (Fatal Slash, Bone Slicer, and Concussive Charge have all, at one point or another, failed to work), and any additional effects will occur, but the de-buff will simply not apply. i.e., with Bone Slicer and Fatal slash I will still damage the monster, and with all three I still go through the animation for the skill. This is, as you can imagine, extremely annoying with Concussive Charge, as I spend the SP and waste time while the monster hits me in order to accomplish....nothing. Also, it seems to happen most often with Concussive Charge.

I haven't extensively tested this, but I do know that all three have failed against Boogies, Ratmen, and Boars. Do monsters simply have a natural resistance, is there always a set chance that a de-buff will fail, or is this a bug?

Or you just have bad luck. Skills don't always de-buff when they hit.

Yes, I believe that was part of my point. Do you know, for certain, whether this is a design flaw, or a design feature? I assumed it was a flaw, because the skills do not say that I have a "chance" to perform the debuff, it just says that this skills will "stun an enemy" or "decrease an enemies defense". Since chance was not mentioned, I assumed it was not intentional.

Well, I'm pretty sure this was intentional. If a bunch of warriors ganged up on 1 a boss, and kept using stun and each of it succeeded everytime, it would be too unbalanced.

I expect bosses to have resistance to debuffs, or perhaps to have a lessened time during which they are debuffed. These are normal monsters. While your point is valid, it still isn't necessarily conclusive.
