I thought it was okay... I'd give it a 3/5 not the best video you guys ever made. I loved the story line but I thought you should have picked a better narrator. The narrators tone and voice just did not match well with the movie and its plot. Also, I was expecting Epith's knight to be a warrior, not a mage who came out with an unenhanced staff lol.
Overall, I have to say it did not live up to my expectations, the trailer was excellent but the movie could have been better. Good Job and your hard work though and excellent song choice.

Okay, I am going to agree with the most of the things he said and add some other things.
1) Usually on real movies, they aren't just changing scenes all the time
2) You repeated some scenes, sometimes
3) Some of the songs didn't really match the movie, like the music on the end, the knight died and then there's a happy song
4) On the begging the mage's staff was +0 and then it was +9
5) One other thing..I disliked how the narrator pronounced Dakkon, you spell the ''a'' like the ''a'' on hate or lame.
To be honest, it loooked like a trailer, sorry.
Just because I loved some of the scenes and it looks really time consuming, I'll give a 3/5. I know you can do better, though.

I think it was awesome. You guys pulled off a lot seeing you used a game to do it, that and its a game with no emotions in the face. So i think you guys did an amazing job in creating such a whimsical yet epic atmosphere.
as for the staff, it took it as when it was unenhanced, it was not in use, but when he was fighting and later on it was like his powers were awakened!^^ so all in all it was a 5/5 for me, especially seeing its the first movie! you better make a number 2~!

As already said by these two posts and I generally have to agree. The trailers were truly quite lovely and I was very excited. I would have liked it more with subtitles rather than any narrating. DF001 is right, I didn't like how Dakkon was pronounced either, the +9 staff thing bothered me as well xD. It's just the little things I guess. I'd rather it a 3.5/5.

Pretty sweet. I liked it. I saw my name xD. I was with you guys in spirit. I don't have enough time to critique, or check what the last song before the ending is, but (I’m pretty sure it is from FullMetal Alchemist ;) ) I wil sometime this weekend. Overall I thought it was great. Keep it coming.
I don’t know if the last bit was symbolic, but the sealing of Dakkon and the ice imprisonment goes back to a tale you may know ;).(The tale has a sequel so this better have one! xD jk)

I'm happy with it, and not just because I'm in it lol. I gave it a 5/5. :p But my reply would be no good without advice and tips for part 2, right? Cuz there better be a part 2!
What I've come up with:
Constructive criticism:
- I do think it would have been better if the preservers of justice had been able to fight the dark knights ourselves. The part where we were fighting just didn't look like we were fighting off anyone to protect Elderine. Maybe we could have used a guild war... put them and us into two temporary guilds, declare war, and go at it.
- Why is the knight's soul stored in the dragonstone, but when he's summoned he's in Elderine? And then he has to fight his way back to ls? It's weird for the preservers of justice to gather around the dragonstone, and then be back in Elderine, and then the knight goes back to ls. Bouncing back and forth like that between locations is confusing.
Though to defend that, it's probably supposed to be that Vivi summoned him so he appears where she is. And really, without this, we wouldn't have had that whole cool scene with Elderine shaking and all. But maybe it would have been better off, to avoid the location changes, for Vivi to kneel at the dragonstone... and to somehow get those parts in otherwise. I don't know, good thing I'm not a movie director, I'd fail. LOL.
- 8:00, when the fighter does his skill and all the... goblin captains I think they look like?... fall over... to be honest, mixed in with the background music, it looks like we just casted a spell on goblin captains and turned them into ballerinas. *giggle* But mainly I just don't get how his skill knocked all those mobs over.
- Little detail with the knight, he probably should not have had a wedding pet on. It doesn't fit, in my opinion.
- The final battle scene is way too fast. Mage master does magic burst twice, Vivi does an aoe, knight does a harmless buff steal, and the mage master's dead? It was over before I even knew what happened. Action baby, nuke stuff! Or nuke each other. Or nuke people that look like each other. But nuke somethin! Besides, the bulk of the movie is so long... with the ending being so short and fast it's just like... oh... the movie's... over? When'd that happen?
- I don't get why the knight had to seal his soul in hell forever. Though maybe we're not supposed to know that yet? It could be answered in part 2.
- It ends fast, with a "thank you... knight".... then a short black sceen... and then BAM WOO dancing grave robber. I think a less DANCE BABY DANCE transition could've been good there. Don't get me wrong, I love the ending, sort of like the ending of Shrek. I just think we needed a transition to get us over the ballerina music and knight sacrificing himself sadness first.
Okay now good points:
- I LOVE the intro, and the credits in the beginning and stuff. It's very pretty, and I love that music.
- I think Mewaki did a great job narrating.
- DAAAkkon... dakkOOON... you say tomAAAtooo, I say toomAAAHHHHtoooo... I don't see an issue there. :p
- I like that not all of the dark knights have enhanced weapons. Need some love for the people who can't afford enhanced stuff in the movie, too. Same goes for only some people wearing cash shop outfits, not all. *thumbs up*
- 3:52 LMAO helga joining the fight too... I got a kick out of that.
- 4:00 I like the timing of the dropping of the guillotines with the narration and the music. Perfect!
- I do like the whole part with the light in Elderine, and the guard in Uruga looking off into the distance at it, and the effect on the knight when he appears.
- I do see the whole thing with the knight's staff starting off +0 and then becoming +9. But I do see how that could be intentional. When it was +0, he'd just been awakened and was waiting. When it's +9, the way has been cleared for him and he's on his way to the final battle. If that was the way it was intended, I think it's cool. Little hidden details like that are fun.
- I like that the knight is a mage. I mean, it's kind of right that it would be expected for the knight to be a big buff male fighter. But the knight obviously has a lot of love for his people, his character looks a bit more compassionate and caring than a male fighter's probably would have.
- Thank you for keeping Dakkon in and not replacing him, and good job with what you did do as him.
- 9:49 with Vivianne kneeling with her hands on the dead knight's staff is very cool, I like how that looked.
- And of course, the credits at the end are fun.
So yeah, all in all, it's great, I love it, I'm happy. *throws popcorn at people and waits for part 2* Good job everyone. :D

Just because I loved some of the scenes and it looks really time consuming, I'll give a 3/5. I know you can do better, though.
1) You have to understand that it's a flashback movie. the entire movie is pretty much a flashback of the girl telling the story, hence why there is no sound effects and dialog.
2) Not at all o.O
3) The last song is emotionally happy/hopeful. The knight arrived, and so has hope for freedom. The knight died, and I think the song still fits this scene. Even though he died, he sacrificed his life for freedom, people are happy. "Thank you, knight"
4) Thats a common bug in fiesta, not our fault. Ive had it in Revenge & Salvation 2 a few times as well. That bug usually pisses me off so much that I don't use the scenes at all, was hard to do that with Epiths Knight since its not a music-video.
It is cool to see how people make their own interpertation about these kind of small things. Even IF they werent intentional, the movie does give you a lot of free space for your own creativity to decide what happens between scenes or why what is happening.
5) Lol thats HOW you pronounce Dakkon. Plus we've even asked him a while ago how he pronounces his name. And most people say "Deck-on" as far as I know (though since Im dutch I naturally say "Dah-kon", but in english I would say Deck-on)
We appreciate both good and bad comments since we can use it to improve our next videos.

The next project that's coming up for Epith Knight is the documentary. I think a lot of people will enjoy it because they'll see how it was done and maybe get inspired to pick up some software and get working too ^^
Again, thanks Centrix for answering all the questions :3

I was a little disappointed with the movie; I was expecting more. I give kudos that you made a movie using the game, considering how little you had to work with, but I think some of your other works are better.
Btw, I could have sworn that I read somewhere that the movie would at least be a half-hour long...not 10 minutes...
Btw, I liked how you made the monsters dance in the credits. That was hilarious. XD

We never said it would be more than 30 minutes o.O
At first we were aiming at about 15 to 20 minutes, but we had to chop it down to 10 for several reasons.
BUT HEY, we can use that for part 2 XD
I mean, you STILL dont know if the evil king is really dead or not ;)

Everything that's been said I mostly agree with (the criticism). I thought it was great, a rather cliched story-line but all good and fun. The voice over needed some heavy mastering (I suppose that's the proper audio term for it) since it sounded rather sub-par directly from the mic.
Great editing and work all-around though.

I loved the movie and i want another one. The only thing about it that bothered me was when the knight was being summoned. I thought the music which was playing should have been cooler. :3 i wanted to feel like i WANTED him to be summoned. You know what i mean? Anyways. Nice job guysss. ^^

Not at all o.O
Huh?
Well, I too thought you re-used scenes, for example the part with the orange-haired mage girl in Free Battle Zone I :p
Oh, and I really liked the intro and the CGs, but otherwise I was disappointed.

Nyah awesome, Credits I could actually stand to watch ^^
But wouldve been way awesomer, to see helga AOe about 20-30 people when it was talking about the invasion xD
Also umm the mage girl (Sorry not sure whos char) when she was randomly casting by herslef.. umm.. wouldve been better to see things dying,
But all in all 4.5/5

Well.. first let me say there were many good things about Epith's Knight, I would never be able to make something like that. Oh, very nice effects and glowy-ness and stuff like that.
I would like to criticize a bit though.
To me it seemed like it didn't live up to the expectations I had. (Please don't attack me because I said that) I watched most of your other movies on Youtube, and they were all very nice, so I expected this one, that took this much time, and so many people to be something that would blow me away. I can't say exactly what it was, maybe that some of the fight scenes weren't very epic, or (no offense to Mewaki) the narration, not the voice, but the actual text, it didn't seem to fit with all the different scenes, some of the scenes didn't seem to all work together, maybe it was when the knight out out the call, that didn't seem much like a call, or when they were "storming" the "palace" they just kept moving through the maps...
Ok, I think I'm done. I know I'm being a bit harsh, but I had to say it.. please, no one hate me for my opinion, it's just what I think, it may be that I am sadly misinformed, I actually really hope so...
Overall, my rating 2/5
Sorry I'm being so critical here.... but I guess it is just my opinion

I have always pronounced Dakkon like that so it didn't sound odd to me...but Dakkon as the enemy, oxy moron hehe.
;)For those who had NOTHING good to say at all I'd like to see them make a movie to rival any of yours! ^o^ you make Epith proud guys!
