Due to inactivity of myself and most of the members, recruitment is currently suspended, and the guild has been reduced to just me for the time being. This is not personal, it simply has to do with my time constraints due to school. Use the mail system to get in touch with me in-game if you wish; I try to log on at least once a day for a few minutes to check messages, and I do intend to be active again once school is over in late May.

This guild is my personal project. My idea is to see if a group of players, in the current game atmosphere, can be self-reliant and succeed by their own skill, dedication, and knowledge of the game.

What does that mean? It means that this guild will be composed of players who want to accomplish things for themselves, be self-reliant to the extent they can be, but learn to depend upon and trust others to accomplish more difficult tasks. For example, anyone who has been in the Labyrinth knows that you cannot complete this dungeon on your own (unless you are a level 36+ Neophyte); you need a strong, balanced party, where each player contributes, in order to succeed.

What do I expect of the members of this guild?

Power-leveling/Leeching: Guild Members may not ask for power-leveling. Any requests for power-leveling either via guild chat, shout, overheard, or reported to me will result in immediate expulsion from the guild without warning. This is your warning.

In addition, guild members may not be power-leveled, even if they do not ask. This is a violation of the spirit of this rule. Further, guild members, as they advance may not power-level others, whether for free or in exchange for kron or items. This is also a violation of the spirit of this rule.

Conflict: No interspersonal conflicts on the guild chat. If you have a disagreement with a guild member, and you likely will at one time or another, take it to whisper. Failure to do so may result in reduction in rank.

Inactivity: If you must be inactive for an extended period of time, please just post to this effect on the forums. The reason is immaterial; life happens. Just do not vanish without a word or you may be deleted to make room for a more active player. Corollary to this requirement:

Activity/Leveling: I feel that setting arbitrary requirements for activity and leveling detract from the game, as the game is supposed to be fun. Just be active when you can, level at your own rate, and do not feel inadequate if others surpass you in level or skill at the game.

Alts: I do not accept alts of current guild members into the guild. This means that if you already belong to the guild, you cannot have another one of your characters join. If you do not already belong to the guild, and you have an alt that you would like to join, that is acceptable, as long as you occasionally play the alt.

Begging: Do not request free items from guild members, especially if you can farm the item yourself. You may request to buy items from another, or someone may offer you items for free, but do not beg for items or kron.

Guild Storage: You are not required to donate items to the guild storage, but if you choose to do so, I thank you. Do not deposit anything in guild storage that you cannot live without. I recommend against depositing 6AP gear, Xen Stones, Soul Stone Fragments, or any other valuable quest items. Recommended items for deposit are spare skill books, small quest items such as Soldier's Letters/Diaries, that you do not want to use or vend, that could help another guild member. Reasonable requests for items from guild storage will be granted for personal use only; this means that you may request only what you will use, and you may not resell the item. For example, if you are a squire, asking for a Neophyte skill book will not be allowed. For gears, you may request the gear for one week, and thereafter may request an additional week of use of the item. Once the two weeks are over, you must return the item to the guild storage, or refund the value of the item to the guild storage. This means that when you borrow a gear, do not loan it to anyone; you are responsible for the item should it not be returned. Failure to return an item will result in disciplinary action, up to and including expulsion from the guild. Please, just think how you would feel if you loaned out an item to someone and they did not return it.

Dues: No dues will be collected, but an initial donation of 50,000 kron within five weeks of acceptance into the guild is required and non-refundable. Just put in 10,000 per week for five weeks and you're done. If you're short on kron, put in what you can when you can, but save money for potions and transport to other cities. This money will serve as a reserve for future use by all guild members in the form of a loan. For example, if there is a gear that you would like to purchase and you need a little extra kron to make the purchase, you may request a loan from guild funds. This money is repayable within one week of the loan, so do not ask to borrow more than you can repay within that timeframe.

Game Information: The forums are a wealth of information compiled by numerous players over the course of the last year. Almost any question that you might have about the game has probably already been asked and answered somewhere on the forums. Therefore I expect members to search the forums for information first before making a request for information from fellow players. Repeated failure to search the forums for information may result in reduction of rank or expulsion from the guild.

Meetings: There will be no regularly scheduled meetings. Occasional guild meetings may be called, but there will be no penalty for missing the meetings if you are offline at that time. Primary means of communication will be via the guild chat and this thread.

Ranks: Ranks will be granted based on two separate criteria. There are five ranks based solely on level, and there are five ranks based on special criteria, yet to be determined. Though I do not have the specific criteria worked out, in general, being helpful towards your fellow players, especially guild mates, by helping them with quests, with game information, tips and tricks, not selling overpriced items, and not taking the game too seriously will likely earn you a special rank. Basically I am looking for others who share the same ideal of getting there on your own merits.

Ranks based on Level:

Quartz - All players begin as Quartz, and remain so for a minimum of one week. Thereafter, this rank is reserved for those below level 46.

Ruby - This rank is for those level 46 and above.

Citrine - This rank is for those level 56 and above.

Emerald - This rank is for those level 66 and above.

Kyanite - This rank is for those level 80 and above.

Special Ranks:

Garnet - Ability to use guild skill and change the guild notice. Level 46 and above, and other requirements to be determined.

Topaz - Ability to use the guild skill, change the guild notice, and invite new members. Level 56 and above, and other requirements to be determined.

Peridot - Ability to use the guild skill, change the guild notice, invite new members, and access storage. Level 66 and above, and other requirements to be determined.

Iolite - Ability to use the guild skill, change the guild notice, invite new members, access storage, and access funds. Level 80 and above, and other requirements to be determined.

Amethyst - All guild powers; requirement is approval of guild leader.

Special ranks may be granted without the requisite level in circumstances yet to be determined. This part of the guild structure is under construction.

Does this sound like the guild for you? How to join:

You must contact me in-game asking to join, either in person or via whisper. Do not send me a message via the mail system. Do not post here asking to join. Do not send me a buddy request asking to join. Only whisper and face-to-face requests will be accepted. To prove that you have indeed read this guild post and all requirements of the members, you must include the word ginger in your request to join. If you cannot follow these directions and complete this simple task in order to join, then you will likely violate the requirements listed above, resulting in expulsion. By asking to join you implicitly state that you have read all of the above requirements and you agree to be bound by them as long as you are in the guild.

Initial recruitment will consist of the following: 4 Squires, 4 Apprentices 8 Neophytes - 4 who wish to become Scouts/Archers, and 4 who wish to become Rogues, all level 36 +/- 5 levels, and 8 Acolytes, level 26-31 - 4 who wish to become Disciples, and 4 who wish to become Clerics. This will make for a well-rounded guild of people who are close to each other in level and who can party together if they so choose. You are also free and encouraged to party with people outside the guild as well. You never know what you can learn from other players.

Minimum level requirement to join will increase as the average level of the current guild members increases. So if you think this is the guild for you, PM me, Yarrow G, in-game when I am online, or speak to me in person, and tell me your class, level, code word included in this post, and for Neophytes and Acolytes, whether you will choose Scout vs. Rogue, or Disciple vs. Cleric.

Earn the Rank of Garnet:

Post an idea for a guild event on this thread. When there are at least four ideas, I'll put the ideas to a vote. We'll then all vote on the best idea, with regards to originality and feasibility. The person whose idea gets the most votes will earn the rank of Garnet.

If you have already earned the rank of Garnet, completing this task will not increase your rank.

I truly wish you luck !

I really want my alternative (but active) character in your guild :) Once I meet the requirements, I'll let you know. And I pray that there will be spots left when I'm ready to join ._.

Anyways, please don't forget the good old times we had in Absolute Fury.
It saddens me that everyone is leaving AF. First, Fernie, and then now, you :(
But I'm still glad that you accomplished your project. ^^

Again, Yarrow, Congratulations and Good Luck With Your New Guild !

First, welcome to all new members; the guild is now about half-full.

Second, I thought it would be helpful for those to have easy access to this world map I made. The map is color-coded by difficulty level. If you can fight in one map of a certain color, you can fight in another map of the same color. As the colors get darker, the difficulty increases. This should help those who have trouble figuring out where to go to get experience.

How to Farm Firewoods Easily

First you get a quest from Blacksmith that requires you to get 10 Firewoods. Once you have the quest on your Quest List, you go to either Death Valley to kill Manner Rabbit or Router Valley to kill both Manner Rabbits and Toadmelter. Once you get 10 firewoods, you have to store them in the hotel and kill the monsters again.

Okay so heres the deal. Someone in guild was asking where they should train for a certain level. i cant remember who it was or what level they were asking for so I figured this might help.

Lv 16-21: Routuer Valley / Callisto Gorge / Saifield Forest / Crossevon Path
Lv 21-24: Augilas Gorge / Bernald Forest / Trakian Path / Vreily Grove
Lv 25-31: Mystra Hill / Theglaia Forest
Lv 32-34: Mystra Basin / Othellos Forest
Lv 35-38: Luan Basin / Berdana Forest / Curior Forest / Bairyn Forest / Crosby Plains
Lv 39-42: Cyoren Forest / Colrona Forest / Felix Forest / Ashmon Hills / Ashely Forest
Lv 43-45: Ashton Basin / Shaio Forest (The Devil Fairies in Ashton don't aggro)
>>>>>>>Harrington Forest / Grudin Forest (Devilies have long-range attacks)
Lv 46-50: Bailey Plains
Lv 51-53: Alicia Forest
Lv 54-55: Titanus Plains / Darive Plains
Lv 56-60: Skitchy Gorge / Vanderoll Plains
Lv 61-66: Proteron Gorge / Marque Basin / Scorging Plains
Lv 66-71: Rudwork Path
Lv 71-72: Loren Valley / Inkwell Plains
Lv 73-75: Kramer Forest / Presenal Plains
Lv 76-79: Chanthery Gorge / Edine Plains
Lv 80-85: Tanline Gorge
Lv 83+: Sherwood Valley / Phildevilt Plateau

This may not be right for everyone depending on class and skill. If you find one step a bit difficult go to the previous maps for an additional level or two. This is just a basic template to go by. My thanks go to Karine for helping me gather the Data for the High level areas. Love ya!!!

Hi I would like Yarrow to stop giving promotion like that (but congrat' to Cruhorn) if it goes like that for every promotion. I mean I'm in a contry where the local time is +8hours so that's mean I'll always see the message "the first to..." too late and that's a bit annoying (worste: I'm working at night). I'm glad for Cruhorn thou, just please don't do all promotion that way if possible.

I had an idea for a guild event, and I'm looking for some feedback.

I know from experience that you can create a new character and get them to level 16 within about half an hour, which, I think, is a good length of time for an event. So the idea I had was that we could have a guild "Race to Level 16", where those who are interested will create a new character, then see who can make it to level 16 the fastest. The rules would be as follows.

Each person would make a new Xenian, and before beginning the event, would have to report to a specific area, have inspection turned on so that I could verify that everyone was the same level to make sure no-one gave themselves an advantage.

No cash-shop items, such as a boost bag, would be allowed; you would have to compete as if you were a completely new player. In order to be able to tell who had made it to level 16 first, each character would have to change to the same class, to be determined later, because then everyone would have to go to the same guild building to change.

Prize to be determined based on the number of people interested.

Please leave your feedback for this idea, and, if interested, times that would be good for you, listed in game-time (not your local time) to make coordination easier. Thanks! :D

this is just off the top of my head for an interesting event... how about a "free for all" in PVP at different times. same lvl/class competition, no revives even in aco class. last man/woman standing. and the last person from every class/lvl will work their way to the last 2 standing. lvl matching a must so its somewhat fair for the players lol. ie: lvl 50 aco matched up with a lvl 50 app. if you dont understand then i'll explain when you whisper me lol. if its just for our guild then it should be very interesting lol...... hope to hear from you soon and good luck/hunting

I think there's been some confusion about the new character event... You don't have to delete your current character from the guild or from the game to participate, and the new character would not become part of the guild.

You would simply create the character for the duration of the event, get it to level 16, and then do with it what you will. Any drops and kron you get on another character can be stored in the hotel, so you can actually make a little kron this way, especially selling the accessory you get.

As I said, I know that you can get a character to level 16 in roughly half an hour, because I got extra accessories for my acolyte this way, and made a little extra on the side. Sorry if there was any confusion

I had an idea for an event. I was thinking somewhere along the lines of a scavenger hunt. Nothing out of the ordinary or extremely hard to get. Just a small friendly hunt that would be something feasable even for the lowest level characters in the guild. You wouldnt have to give up the items from the hunt either just open a trade and show that you have them. First one to post on here when you get all the items with 1 other member verifying you have the items is the winner. Seemed kinda cool to me but let me know what you think.

Oh yeah almost forgot. You can take my idea out of the running for the rank due to the fact I have already earned the rank of Garnet. I just wanted to put my $.02 in, lol.

Hello there. I'm interested in joining this guild. Of course, I'm not exactly at the right level yet, so I don't expect to be even talked to until I hit level 31 or so on my aco.

But anyway, I'm a very active player and far from a n00b. If it would be preferable, I'll come back or PM Yarrow when I hit 32. If for some strange reason you'd like to track my progress or something, IGN is Thani as it says in my siggy.
