Higher lvled players in pvp

Now, most of the time I don't say anything becuas eI understand, and I really do. But it's becoming pointless for lower lvled ppl to go into pvp because of what the higher lvled ppl are doing. They are running around and killing everything that moves, most of the time without caring on the persons lvl. Now, I know higher lvled ppl are bored and need something to do, but how can we enjoy a pvp in this condition? just my thoughts, feel free to comment. And whethe rit gets fixed or not....See you in pvp!!!!!

its pvp, fair game. there are certain limits, yes. no self-respecting person would intervene in a 1 on 1 match between two people, because that is just rude (I know some do but whatever). nonetheless, its supposed to be a free area for killing people. there are no rules against an 89 killing a level 1 player. If you can't survive, get out and come back at either a better time or keep trying to level until you think u can withstand a few hits.
(BTW, no offense to ANYONE. i am simply displaying my ideas on PvP area. this applies to abyss in my opinion as well)

There is no offense taking. I just think that higher lvled ppl should fight higehr lvled ppl. It makes it less fun for some of the lower lvled ppl in there. not that some ppl (like myself ^^) won't still go in and get handed. lol. But there should be some common curtesy, know what I mean? ^^

if you are a low level and high levels keep killing you.. then that only means one thing go grind till you become a high level and kill those high levels who keep killing you.. put them on your list you might fulfill it someday

High levels didnt get to be high by slacking they got to their level by grinding so if they start killing you its just the time that they are trying to get back from the long hours grinding and waiting for new updates, new maps and better exp.

this thread is just a reiteration of MANY before it, so let me put it in simpler terms.

Until you are higher level, you will not be able to enjoy the PVP feature. This is a fact, the only exception to this fact are those that are GIVEN immunity by the higher level players. SoS has a social heirarchy that is not unlike that of the middle ages, if you are royalty, you reap the rewards, if you are not, you are trod on as that of a peasant. This is what I, as an experinced player, and long time critic, have come to realize. That being said...

I agree with Brutus, the only way to do anything about it is the "if you cant beat em, join em," philosophy. Until Outspark chooses (IF they choose) to impliment a level tiered PVP, this is the only way to combat that which I have listed above.

Your post was correct, it is pointless to go into PVP until you are higher leveled. So what have we learned here? Deal with it and either take your losses, or go grind grind grind (cause thats really what this game is about, neh?), and go kick their tails when you have the power to. (take note, revenge is sweet, but most of these people are also in powerful guilds, and will most likely take their tantrums out on the entire arena.. and you, so maybe the Taoist route of coming to terms with your enemies would be a road to explore as well xP )

its not always so bad i mean if lower lvs were seperate who would they watch and learn from. i mean half of everything i learn was from high lv mage and wiz testing skills on me xD.for instance right when i went mage naz pwnd the crap outa me with magic beam and i knew then as soon as i got beam that i was gonna mess some ppl up xD. im sure im not the only one to answer questions about skills further up in lv and pvp tactics when ppl ask in there :o

Well.....my main (Leparaz) is only level 48 or so (I'm such a slacker that I don't keep track of my level o_O, plus stress from school work), and I do fine in pvp. It's very fun for me, and not "pointless" because I'm a lower level. The main reason why other lower levels get picked on is either because they start annoying higher levels, or there are kosing jerks around. Besides, I'm usually targeted by at least 2 people in pvp at the same time, and I'm still alive and well. :P

I think PvP should be enjoyed by all players, regaurdless of their level. However, the cruel fact is PvP is not for the weak. I would highly suggest not entering if you have ANY doubt that you will not win. If you are 100% sure that you have the skills and power to overcome every player in the arena whatever their level may be then by all means GO FOR IT!

This is a game and is to be enjoyed. If someone kills you in PvP and they are a higher level they may have done it on purpose or might have done it on accident thinking you we're someone else. There will allways be people who don't care, mainly because this is a game and not real. Atleast you don't lose exp in PvP, thank goodness for that yes? Take care all~:cool:

You know...i'm noticing something here. I posted this thread initially to see the responses I am getting from it. Now I realize that most of the higher lvled playersa re the ones saying that lower lvls should "Lvl up then try again". It's this mentality that is making ppl stop playing the game. As far as the whole "One hit kills is fun" thing, I think it's ridiculous. Why is it that ppl of hight lvl cannot kill ppl of high lvl? Why do they have to pick on ppl lower then them? Just because they can?

Now don't get me wrong, I still go into pvp even though I die because I like pvp. Regardless of the mindless high lvls killing everyone. And I do not get why ppl sit in pvp after they are killed (wether they restart of get a res) and whine about it. I fully understand the concept behind if you can't win go get stronger. But at the same time higehr lvled players should show some support/understanding for the lower lvled and leave them be.

At the same time, if a lower lvled player decides to hit or try to pick a fight with someone of higher lvl then...well they deserve to be pounded on!!!!! ^^. But ppl like me and countless others who go there looking for a decent one on one fight with someone close to thier lvl should not be getting slammed by lvl 90+'s. The more you complain about being killed on sight the more you will get killed. The best solution to your problem is to not complain if you don't want to get killed. So you can enjoy pvp without getting killed.

People always generalize a lot when talking about PVP. Not every high lvl has blood lust for lower lvl players. And I've seen one sin stop another from picking on an aco. Different people go to pvp for different reasons, irrespective of lvl. I've had plenty of lower lvl players hit me for fun, sometimes interfering in duels. It's what it is~

I only pick on players my level unless:

1. You attack me. If you attack me and dont apologize you will be quickly dispensed with.

2. We agree to have a match.

3. You interfere with my match after I shout to not interfere. That includes Acos healing my opponent.

I don't PVP much and general only duel and do not attack random people. I didn't wipe out the Aco that interfered in my match yesterday since it looked like my opponent was AFK so I understood them trying to protect the helpless (he was just acting), but I did kill the Sin because he was a Sin and he took a cheap shot (amazing I lived since only lvl 93).

just a response i been playing this game for a year and been tired waiting for updates for new maps and new class... dont you think that you guys have more chance to catch to a higher level since you got all the new maps that we waited for and if we ever grind we usuallly get .01-.005 per monster we kill.. so please if you gonna give a reason please dont compare players playing the game for a year cause we have to wait for months for every updates of this game..

Ive seen my fair share of battles. and low lvls arent the only targets. only time i love killin a low lvl player is cuz of their constant pokin(then you ask why me?). i have seen an elite guild on me followed by a mediocre. i died for talkin trash and not healin myself mwahahahahaha. after i died i go back for more. i stand up to anyone even if i know its a lost cause. specially when fighting an archer because its pointless to take that archer head on. then you have the cowards that only fight when they see someone being mobbed and when they get hit they tuck tail and hide in the sz. i think pvp should be sz free for those that like to poke and hide. i have seen an elite player not touch me cuz his elite guild was not there. goes to show you with a little heart and not being afraid you can accomplish many things. because they are high lvl or elite does not make them gods.

I, for one, most certainly don't go noob-killing in PvP. In fact, I pretty much stay away from PvP entirely. God forbid I go about saving someone 800 Kron by reviving them and saving them the trouble of restarting and paying for another entry only to be KoSed. I'd rather spend my money on pots for leveling than my insignia supply, the use of which in PvP generally ends up resulting in profanities, insults, and attacks thrown my way. No thank you.

By the way....even though all these attacks come, and even though players tend to dogpile "weak" healers in PvP, you may be interested in knowing that I still haven't taken a loss.

Why? Because i loathe, hate, and despise, people who have played the game less than i have. Because i am weak among my fellow high levels and can't kill them, i make myself feel better by one hit killing scouts and neos.

I'll let you all in on a secret about high level players. We all hate anyone not as good as us, and yes, we see you all as less than us because you just started playing game a month ago. We banded together long ago in a secret meeting in the secret city made for high-levels by GM feather-god and decided we will make pvp as miserable as possible for anyone not us.

Or, maybe, just maybe, it is really really cool to hit amp button and watch a knight go poof in one hit once in a while. Or maybe, after grinding for hours and days on end its really really cool to run to pvp and check out the results of your work against anyone around. Or perhaps, some just enjoy for some reason hitting random people for no reason at all except to put some life into an entire arena of people standing or sitting and doing nothing but chatting in PMs.

But, if people would like to believe that we are all superior minded no-life having killing machine maniacs trying to make your experience in the arena as miserable as possible, thats what youll do, and thats ok because your wrong. It boils down to fun. and the arena is there because its fun to see the results of your hard work grinding by killing someone, whatever the level.

Ok, for the record, I have never been in the arena, and after reading this thread, I don't intend too.

There's word for for strong people who pick on weak people. It's called being a bully. It's easy for high level players to say that low level players are whining and complaining when you are not the one being picked on. All I see is someone asking the bullies politely to stop.

If low and high level player agree to a duel, or it's a guild war, etc., that is one thing, but to attack low level people minding their own business and dueling with their own level is nothing but a power trip.

It's not that I don't understand the fun of one hit kills. Sometimes I go to low level maps just to flatten the poyos. But doing it to another player is just plain being mean.

Telling people to go level is rediculous and insensitive. Aren't you out leveling the same time they would be? How could they possibly ever catch up? But you don't care, do you?

The Powers-That-Be really do need to make level-segregated arenas, maybe with low level still having access to high level arenas so that those who enjoy a challenge can still do so, but not vice-versa. It's really sad that they should have to though, instead of just having respect for each other.

In the mean time, low levels, I recommend you stay out of the arenas, so the bullies will have nobody to pick on but each other.

PvP is not as bad as this thread is showing. I love going to pvp and go quit a lot actually. My aco is no where near a high level and she is not slaughtered non stop. Yes Hugu has his fun but hes very nice about it and hes given me kron to help rez anyone he does kill. I don't mind at all dying by hugu because hes not being malicious about it. Yea we have a few players who I wont name who like to hang in the sz, come out and attempt to "pwn" a lower level but the higher levels already know about them and help assist that player who is being targeted. Try it out its really not that bad

I'm only level 66 but even if I were 166, I wouldn't do it. There is no point to it. I can test out all my skills and strategies on monsters and get experience from that.

On a side note, it would be nice if there were divisions of pvp by levels. That way if you are level 24 then you won't have to fear dying at the hands of someone 80 in a third of a hit.

Regardless, I shed no tears for those that enter the pvp. You guys enter willingly so die willingly. :)

Btw, there is a division by level arena now.. Why don't you have a look at it yourself or at least talk to the npc~

Killing other players is far more fun than killing a monster.. You can't test all your skills on mobs and some skills are more significant to be used in PvP!! Grinding field and PvP field is way different in many aspects.. To those who enter the free arena, you people should know the risk of getting killed by other players no matter whether they are high level or low level.. When you say you would not enter pvp even if you were 166, that just demonsrate that some players just can't accept death getting killed by other players.. Take it easy, this is just a game.. For some players, pvp is the place to have fun and to release stress.. Some of the statements given in this thread are just not relevant whatsoever.. If you don't want to get killed, DON'T GO TO PVP.. pvp is pvp. kosing is part of it. no one ever says anything good because the only
ones that complain are the bitter ones that have died a few times
if u cant take it then dont go to free pvp there is more options and dnt expect special treatment
just because u start telling off anyone who tries to kill u its lame

yes but the thing is some players take it to far on top of killing some one they bring them down ontop of it being a poor sport them self in turn making the one killed unhappy and a poor sport them self this is found in some high lvl players putting down lower lvl ones for well bing lower lvl.

yes you and dyln don't get killed much cuz ppl know they will get killed them self (from ur high lvl char or your friends and or guildies) then we get friends pitted against friend, guild war in free pvp -_-! and some times the fight moving in to maps how fun.

pvp is not that bad with out the poor sports in it . i mean i was talking wiht a friend and an archer idk if i can name names even on good terms came and 1hit KOed me then came over and smiled at me said sorry (good sport to me i'm good sport back)

now on diff terms you got again an archer killing me and putting me down for not being on his lvl and rubbing it in my face (bad sport to me i'ma a bad sport back)

it's a whole give and take thing or take and give
you give back what u get or get back what u give
see pvp is both best and worse thing in this game

The only solution is to just not get upset about it. Or ask them to duel, and then if you lose, be gracious about it. They'll probably leave you alone about it if you lose or win in a duel. Yeah there are some people who just go around cleaning out the arena, but you can never take something like that personally. I think it's funny, actually.

yes but what abuot the high lvl players hunting down only low lvl and then putting them down for being a low lvl how can you be alright with that really that would be the point

SOME not all but SOME high lvls have no respect for fellow players mostly low lvl ones
some who just started and want to see what pvp is like have a high lvl kill them then put them down for being a low lvl
i have seen it and it's not nice

yes there are low lvl play the even not being pick on that get upset (that is annoying)
but what about the ones who were picked on the last time they were killed how would they react the next time a high lvl kills them? upset right



next note lets see duels now this is a hard one cuz again high lvls and some low lvls no respect

ok lets say 2 high lvl sicking it out or dueling a low lvl ether misclicks on them or sticks them .....the high lvl kills them and get mad the jumped in

if 2 low lvls sticking or dueling and the sam dueling high lvl comes along hits them and some times ends up killing them the dueling low lvls get mad and the high lvls use the "WELL IT'S PVP" do you find that right (i have seen it happen many times)

again not ALL high lvls do this but SOME but enough that it can be noted
and it can also be said wit low lvl but not as a big deal what can a low lvl can make a big diff in a high lvl duel not much ....but still ether way not nice

Some high levels are meanies and we all know that.. You can't control them.. It is the right for anyone to kill who ever they want in the arena.. If you talking about courtesy or respect, each player has their own mission in pvp or their way of having fun.. Arena is a battlefield.. Normal free arena is open for all, so expect to get killed.. One can go to level arena to duel or to hang around same levels.. You guys asked for level restriction arena and got it but you all still complaining getting killed by high levels blah blah blah..

As for duel, for me as long as you intervene, by poke or by mistake, you shall die.. Usually I won't kill the player unless the player hits me a few times.. one time is mistake but 3 or more is too much.. My way of having fun is to volcano everyone especially at flock of players or tries to one hit kill LOL or have a duel against competitive players especially high level top pvper on my rank.. So yeah arena is a battlefield.. so be aware the risk of getting killed..

lvl pvp is not enough why don't the high lvls go to lvl pvp it's all the same like I like to duel my friend but I can't in lvl pvp becuse he's over my lvl so that's not fair to say that so how would I go about that

Again y can't there be respect in pvp it's no diff from the rest of the game if there is no respect then it should be ok fir a player to flip out at another for killing them why be respectful and take it nicely

This kind of thread always end up with the same thing.. In the end, no matter what level you are, PvP is a a place for players to kill or to be killed.. I was jumped by 3 sins few days ago and I fought them until they quited hitting me.. So whether you are highest level or lowest level or what ever kind of level, be prepared to be killed.. The issue is not respect.. The issue is be realistic.. Normal Arena is free for all, no level restrictions.. PvP is player versus player, so it is a battlefield between players and I hope EVERYONE in the game understands this..

If you want to duel without intervention, there are guild and party arena as well..

PvP is to have fun, and you must expect to be killed no matter what level you are. So people that think that PvP is unfair, i suggest to not go there at all. If you want to whine and complain about PvP, go ahead. But i really think they should reinforce the rules of ToS making such pointless threads like those that end up in flammes and harrassing at the others.

I said this thread fail because there has been many complaint thread about pvp that has been closed. And i don't see the point and the deal about PvP. PvP is PvP, you go there, you take a risk to be killed and if you got killed in PvP, you are responsible for your own death on PvP not the one that kill you.

I honestly cannot believe this is STILL going on! It's just a game, and very small part of that game I might add. This is like walking onto a firing range then complaining you got shot at! What did you expect?
There are level restricted arenas, there are party and guild arenas - use them.

And alkcnf, Most players DO respect eachother off the field, they help and are helped in return. Rally drivers help eachother if they have car trouble before or after a race, even give them parts from their own supplies; however once the race is on, there is no mercy, just like stepping into the PVP arena.

Next we will hear boxers complaining that their opponents punched them while in the ring....

Lol. I love running into PvP and seeing who is going to kill me.

My favorite memory was when everyone was just sitting around so I frosted everyone. Joe comes running at me with Magic Fire blazing saying that I was interrupting duels. He couldn't kill me cause of me fast pot spamming. Then after like 5 minutes, an Archer comes over and shoots at me, giving enough damage to finish me off. XDDD

PvP is fun. Just gotta find your way of having a piece of that fun.

EDIT: But I do wish for respect when it comes to duels. Many times have I tried dueling a healer, then some high lvl come running over to "save" the healer, even though I am getting my butt handed to me already by said healer.

Ppl just need to sit for a second and go, "Hmmm, does that person need help?" Or maybe, "Is this a duel?" It annoys me so much, I just don't do duels anymore. I just say, "Nah. If I duel you, someone will come over and kill me. Happens every time."

That is my only complaint about PvP.
