So, for those who were hunting in Marlone's clan hideout today know that Ecclesiastical were getting our self killed contentiously for over two hours trying to earn the title. After so long we gave up and decided to just stay afk (out of home and shop) to earn a title. I saw my self get killed and just ignored it. talked to my guilds not really paying attention or playing.

then all of a sudden i saw it say "acquired Monster Joke Punchline Title"

so obviously getting killed 100x in a row is not true. so does anyone know the truth behind this title?

When I tried to get the title, i randomly got a "title rookie" title after about 25 death/res without getting another title. So im wondering if I was supposed to get the title... but the title rookie bugged it.

i did this with a cleric reving me at the beach where mara is

I also have 7 titles besides the title rookie title

You have to lose exp to obtain the title not just die. So if you are game enough to give up exp for the title go ahead just remember there are others beyond that title like Deaths Doorstep etc

I don't think this is true as I got my title in Roumen during a Dark Forces event.

still.. i mysteriously got a "title rookie" title while i was trying to get punchline. The whole point of title rookie.. form what i hear.. is a title you get after you achieve 8 titles. But i only have 7 on my list + title rookie

I died continuously for over two hours. i got killed way more then 100 times. i didn't get the title till i afked.

I was getting killed non stop for two hours, i lost every bit of exp I had. Level 26 and i had five dots full

This is also wrong. Monster Joke Punchline was the 2nd title I attained and the only times I died before level 20 were in this one event. I haven't to this day died more than 10 times on the field.

though then my mage should have this title as she got eaten as lowby when she ran into some mobes and they one hit killed her for more then three times her health...

she is never having children btw.. that death killed them all!

forests of mists, Looking at the map its on the upper right area there are also joker keblings in the luminous stone but i think those are harder mobs

Well once I hit Lv 44 I'm gonna just remove all my equipment and get killed countless times by Orc/Orc Hunters or King Mushrooms in Uruga and see if I obtain the title. Well its quite obvious there is also another requirement since people are telling different things here. Just gotta figure out what it is.

Really? The only monsters I can recall that reside there are Kebings, not Keblings.

There should be Kebings, Joker Kebings, and Smart Phinos in the foresty hill area in the center of Forest of Tides, and in the central mid-northern area of Mist. Luminous Stone has 3 variants of Kebing, including the elite-class Speeder.

Not sure what to tell you. I am aware of several people with this title who are friends of mine that acquired it that way. It involved clerics, keeping the killing monster intact, and lots of xp loss, however.

i earned it really fast fighting the king kong phino that GM steam summoned, yes i had to die a lot, don't think it was 100 times though, i could be wrong, i DID die a lot, but it was probably the fact that it was like a billion levels above me

I was looking here to see what the title meant. dont ask me how i got it ^^ I can only tell I didnt get it by dieing much. like as much as 10 times in a row or something. I do get pwnd some days :P

tink, thing about the marlones hideout way is that every time you die you respawn in the map and the map "reloads" thus resetting the counter.

I swear I got the title from dying likw 20~25 times from the same monster and having a cleric revive me each time. But i only mysteriously attained title rookie in the process and nothing else. I think i got glitched

Ok... I tried to get this title as well (sounds cool). So my guild master brought me to Ancient Elven Woods, and I die there for count of at least 30-40 times, have him and another cleric reviving me

Well... i got mine MonsterJokePunchine title durring Valentines event in Eldy<mopped down by: Lips, Lava Fire Honeyings, Minidragon:D, Lava Megatons(if i recall them correctly)> and because this was in Eldy then i dont think so that lossing XP is main factor in road to aquire this title.<perhaps monster must be much HIGHER lvl as we(+30)?.>
And also got Title Rookie<dont ask how because i have no idea :D>.

a friend just did this, i think you have to lose exp while doing this but you have to wait 4 minutes after every death, thats what i have heard

mine came in Eld, during a Dark Forces event...Mara slaughtered my mage many times, but not more than 10, I don't think.

From what I have heard from people who have the title is that you have to die 10 times from the exact same monster, and that you have a timer of 3 minutes between each kill. And if I remember correctly you need to use a cleric, that spawning doesn't work. But this is all just heresay.

Yes, you have to die by the same monster.

No you do not need to lose exp to gain the title.

No you do not need a cleric to rez you to gain the title. Respawning works too.

Yes you have to allow a time lapse (probably 3 min but unconfirmed) before your next death for it to count towards the title.

After each death, give 3 minutes to make the next death count towards the title.
Reviving/Respawning both work, but make SURE you follow the above rule.

lol this reminded me of then i tried to get this title in con peak.. then i learned you can't rapidly die over & over again because of the 3 minute limit between deaths. but somehow last week in BoD, i was tortured enough times to get the title and i didn't even find out til the next day XD

Well I got this Title while questing in Dragons tomb, There was defnetly time in between the deaths, so I can see where that would work. Although I can't help but wonder if perhaps the Kebings that are killing you are grey monsters maybe that has something to do with it?

its 10 kils by the same mob on the same map and you do not have to los exp but i believe it has to be once every three minutes at least but not sure

i died about 10 times by helga during the old days when we weren't able to kill him. so i think it's like bugged or something .-.

you lose 1% per death and DeathHouse's Guest is 1k deaths...
You are required to die to the Same exact monster and supposedly space it by 3 mins
