Hey everyone! :) I'm new, and I have a noob question (The game is still installing :p). Anyway, if I become an Acolyte, can I attack instead of just healing? Thanks in advance.

yes, but you don't get good attacks untill level 56...

You can attack, yes. I know a few acolytes that have leveled mostly by soloing -- killing one by one using Illusion Quake. It's very long and boring ... lol. It's easier to level when you're healing/buffing a party.

But after 56 you get 'better' attacks which will allow you to solo kill better, if that's what you choose to do.

As mentioned above, you can become a disciple at level 45, which is an attacking / healing class. Very powerful. :P

Take it from a 7x Cleric...The best way to level is to MAKE FRIENDS....especially friends that NEED HEALERS. =D If you're dedicated to leveling, you'll find that sometimes you will have to solo kill with Illusion Quake....which is a long, slow, and potentially risky proposition....but worth it if you really want to sport those pretty Cleric robes!

Well, which do you want to do more? Acolytes are the basic healing class. The main attack illusion quake is not very strong and is slow to cast. You can attack and will probably solo a lot early on. But an acolyte is strongest in a party. You heal the members and use buffs to increase their defense and attack. You can also aid them in attacking.

If attacking is more important to you than healing, then you may want to try another class such as neo or squire. If you want to use magic still then the app might be for you.

If you want to heal, but find it isn't for you later on then anywhere from level 45 on you can change to disciple. A disciple has a type of healing he can use on both himself and other people. It isn't as strong as an aco/cleric/priest heal, but it's good. He can only buff himself but he is a melee attacker. At level 66 you can continue as an aco, only a few do usually to level 71, but you don't get any new skills, armor or weapons. Most change to either disciple or cleric. Waiting until 66 to change to disciple means you get aoe attack skills instantly, while changing to cleric continues you on the healer path with new armor, weapons and skills. You also get the pretty blue and tan robes Compassion makes look so good. Once you change to cleric, you can no longer change to disciple though. Stick it out long enough and you get to wear blue and yellow robes and be called a priest.
