Guys, it isn't new. This is old. You can get attacked by BOTH the players and the monsters. It gives you good exp, it's something you should take risk of. If you ARE going afk, the only time you should be inside the abyss is because you have a pt, and you have to be back quick. ASAP. If you don't like being killing in the abyss/pvp when AFK, then too bad. Leave the place. Simple logic.

No one's complaining about being killed in the Abyss. What people are compalining about is some lvl60 fighter coming into the lvl20 abyss and slaughtering everybody. So, your logic has quite a big hole in it.

Those level numbers are a bit off, but I agree. I think most people understand the "high risk, high reward" concept behind the abyss, but the risks of the new system are no longer matched by the rewards. This is mostly because there are people (often maxed-out jerk fighters) who go to the abyss (often below their levels) for the sole purpose of killing (often repeatedly) everyone they can (often with impunity, since they're hard to fend off). This used to be frustrating, but, with the new exp loss, is now an actual problem. "High risk, high reward," has become "potentially very high risk, but same reward." Hence the complaining.
As far as going AFK is concerned, well...you shouldn't go AFK anywhere unless you're reasonably certain that you'll be safe. The abyss has never been such a place. :D
