No giving event items away?

I've been sort of wondering why we aren't allowed to give event items to other people. At first I figured it was so that people with alt characters can't use them to gather up event items but does that really make sense? I mean, they're still working to find them and it's still random, right? Work is work.

Is there some other reason why we aren't allowed to give them away? My brother has 143 turkey legs and I have about 56 so I'm clearly never going to make it. I'd like to give him those last measely seven but can't.

Do you remember SKiNGs wedding event. How people were selling all those Isya petals for an insane price. It screwed up the economy quite a bit and as a result they had to put a trade lock on the turkey legs. There are still some event items that can be traded like Permanent Valentines Suit. There were only a few of these costumes made and I dont think anyone would trade them anyway.

I was told you are allowed to give the suit away to a friend or something if you stopped playing the game or moved server but if you profitted it in anyway weither it was ingame money or real money you would face trouble for it.

I guess Outspark expects that people will sell the event items.
My opinion on that is,,,,
So what if they do?

We could sell them before and the world didn't end so I agree with you, what is the big deal?

I'd give it away to him for free, sell it for 1 copper, doesn't make any difference to me, he's so close that I hate to see him fail and everywhere people are getting them left and right and he's killing mobs and crap and not getting a thing. I feel bad for him and don't see how giving them to him could be negative.

I'll have to admit I can't think of a good "why" for it. I know with the Halloween Lantern Souls (which could be traded) I got a punkinhead by piling every Lantern Soul I found in storage, then one character took enough to get his mask the day before they did away with the quest. Anyone wanna buy 25 Lantern Souls? ;)

Only significant difference I can see with the Turkey Legs is that 500 HP/SP healing, but with potions being sold all the time anyway, it still comes out as "so what" to me.

I don't concern myself with it much overall...the lack of sense made by it makes my head hurt, so I just leave it be.

I say if you own it, it it's yours to do with as you please.
