Why cant we have this?

We all know about the beggings of democracy right? Why cant we have this type of system?

GMs can host events where they ask people what they want in the game. They kick those who are not serious and etc.

This will improve communications and the majority will get what they want.

Also the game will become more popular in my opinion because people like gams that listen to the players.

Simplified idea:

1. Gm make a voting event
2. gm asks some questions and receive some feedback about idea
3. then common votingv :when people say "AYE" if they likey the idea or say "Nay" if the idea is not very desirable
4. Take the results and then send the info to the developers.

What do you guys say?

The problem is every time they try to hold these events now it turns into a barrage of spam, begging, and demands for either free stuff or new features. The GM Podium that was held at the beginning of OB was sort of a "player feedback" kind of event that worked fairly well; but when GM_rider tried to hold this event again in more recent months, it basically got nowhere.

A good idea but probably not gonna get anywhere :X

maybe if they picked random players , just a few , and tele them to GM room or so , that could be a lil more effective .

Thats what your solstice council is for. Seek us out and give us your ideas and requests. Of course they have to be do-able and not just some random spam or WAY out there requests. I will present your ideas no matter what but lets try to get things done that can be done

I think that was the function of the Solstice Council, which was a group of selected people from every class to talk to a GM about everything and anything complainable about. They weren't random, but they were a range of high and lower level (low enough level to have enough experience to make good desicions instead of "everyone should get free zens!!!"), one hand-picked from every class and two from the active community, and two voted for (I think, not exactly sure about these).

*doesn't know what happened to the Council* It would be nicer for a pure democracy like you mentioned, but it'd succumb to the things that catry (Kit Y) posted.

Sorry but it doesn't seem like the council has been active enough, on the part of the GM's and the players, to do what he's suggesting. I like Brutus's idea though. In the end that's what the forums should be for, but it's just not often the case; especially since players should be able to express their ideas/needs directly and not through word of mouth.

The point of the council is to be a representative of the class you were picked for. Yes we have inactive members but when that occurs those council members are replaced with voted on representatives *by the council*. If you have anything that you think would be a great addition or if you know of bugs that are so outta control and old that need fixed seek out your rep and let them know. Send me a message ANYTIME you want even if I am not your class representative and I will do what I can as a council member to get your idea, problem addressed

Doesnt sound desperate at all. I think we all want the same thing. This game has lots of potential and many good things are coming.

When a meeting is going to come to order we are contacted through PM and told that a meeting will be held on such and such so we have time to collect materials to go over in our meetings. Its never a random in game shout "meeting time" be there be square kinda thing. We always have plenty of representation at the meetings. Alternate representatives would be the decision of the GM. I think they keep who we have because it would be hard to say to the alternate "we dont need you because so and so is coming". Also so many voices in a meeting is hard to get things taken care of in the time frame scheduled for the meeting.

My PM's are always answered and I love working with the community to make this game better and better. Hit me up and give me your ideas. I will certainly make sure you get credit for them :)

It comes so soon that most of it we don't even see it. But ppl are demanding when it comes to events and thats wrong. Always complain and are never satisfied with what you are given. You know that an event is just to spice things up and GMs really don't have to do them. So how about for once stop complaining and be happy with the little that are given to us. Because some player are not even able to do the events because of work or RL things they must do.

THis thread is not a complaint

its a thread about ideas to better communication and feedback among gm and player in game instead of in the forums. Because most players dont even check out the forums >.>

it would be better if we had DNC's email address, then we could mass spam them instead of the gm's/outspark. i suspect then we would see things being improved/implemented alot quicker ;)
