I dont really care if we get it or not but, its been bugging me ever since someone brought it up to me, so i figured y not make a thread about it. How many of you think we'll get our tweak w/in the next year?

There's been a gazillion threads about the experience rate. As much as i wouldn't mind it, i wouldn't plan on it happening.

After having gone the first year asking for it and it never coming, I really have my doubts about it ever coming...

what is xp tweak? increase xp rate? no way.. the exp has been easy for mid levels and low levels.. It was harder back then and the map was limited.. They have increased the exp rate for low and mid level by a lot.. Look at the players now, there are so many 3rd classes and 2nd classes.. The exp rate is fair enough for everyone (they should lower the exp curve for mid level because everyone is leveling too fast than what the GMs and DnC expected) and you guys have tons of map to grind and explore.. You guys can get mogras helm for easy grinding, can mob the lost brynhill, can mob the library, can get unknown books for krons and exp, can aoe red mobs at low level and can get fast exp from all of that.. Still not happy?

The problem though is that it's still very limited for players, not because there aren't more maps now, but because there's more players playing.
My gripe with the XP rate has always been that at level 90, which is supposedly halfway to the max level, monsters of the same level give only 0.02% of XP. With a curve like this, could you imagine how long it would take you to level at level 170, or even at 150? Equal level mobs would be giving about 0.00001% each. And there's no way to get those levels except grind endlessly for hours and hours and hour and hours...
But I also see it from your (and I think Outspark's) standpoint about how players are leveling faster than they expected. I think based on DNC and Outspark's timetables thus far no one really expected this many players to be so focused on spending hours a day going through mind-numbing leveling, and players are getting to levels that this game isn't ready to handle, and it ends up hurting both players (who burn out) and the companies (who lose paying customers who burn out).
So here's how I see it: In the short term, while this game is still being worked out, we do not need an XP tweak (much as I would love to see one) as making it easier to level now would just result in a massive gridlock of third class players. That's why I don't see any tweak coming in the coming year, at least not until a lot more content has been implemented.
In the long-term, though (and this really varies on what exactly is implemented), this curve is somewhat unacceptable in that it only caters to the really hardcore players willing to spend days of endless grinding getting 1 level, while not even giving more casual players an outside shot of getting to 3rd class without EXTREME dedication. Outspark undoubtedly would and should cater to both markets of players.
So do we need an XP tweak? Yes! I would love one.
Are we going to get it in the coming year? I doubt it. There's a lot more I think more pressing issues that could and should be dealt with first.

Indeed. Why does every game have to be easy? Enough of those out there if that's what you're looking for. o_O

as kit said this game is still focused on mid level players/low level players. even charon cant find gear at his level because it isn't in the game yet. I personally think they should implement better quests for higher levels in the future. Having this game become more quest based will not only take back from endless hours of grinding, but also having things to look forward to and bringing the community together. Say.. a level 138 quest needs the help of a level 47 scout because u have to kill a monster with a scouts ankle bind to make the monster vulnerable to attacks....

lols very true. the game title even sounds like a quest, so it doesnt make sense that the game is all about leveling.
Luv that idea about needing lower levels to finish a quest, it means lower levels would be actually useful :D
OT: nope no xp tweak, just more mons that give better xp for higher levels

well this is wat happens when game expand there's new content makes lvling easier. like when they expanded loren then chant then to turm. this gave newer ppl maps to grind faster. i mean yea ppl are getting to 96 fast but notice that most that do, stop at 96 they dont bother wid grinding anymore. and there's ppl that do. but it only goes so far then its horrible exp and for those that had dealt wid it good for you. so if they tweak it then watever to me i dont care if they do or not. plus hey look on the brightside if they do, more ppl reaching 4th class faster they release right?

ah....a lvl 47+ have ankle bind too... so i ono how that will work for just a lvl 47 scout...

Wouldn't an xp tweak make it easier for high leveled players to level too? >.>;;
Not to mention all the back xp they'd get from past levels would probably shoot them up 10 or so levels... xD

im not saying make it super easy. im just saying i'd probably quit if i got to the point where i got .0001% per kill. thats just insane

Hm, well... as the game stands now, you'd have to be well past lv.100 before you'd have to worry about that.
