Screwed up resolutions?

When I first loaded up the game, it screwed up my entire computer's resolution settings. After exiting the game, the resolution settings remained screwy no matter how high I'd make it in my display properties. I've reset my computer, restarted it in safe mode, and several other options to get my screen's resolution back to it's normal self, but nothing is working. Is there something with the game files that is causing this? The only option left is to uninstall the game and see if I can reset my display properties settings then.

Please note that I am ABLE to change them but the computer doesn't have them in effect. It still shows me running in what seems to be 800x600.

I am running on Windows XP home edition. Please help if you have had this bug.

Well, I went ahead and uninstalled the game to see if that would fix the problem. Nothing seems to be working. So an answer would greatly be appreciated now :)~
