Anyone think that there should be like a little website you can go on to report scammers? Then if you want to get something enhanced or something, you can go on the little site and type in there name to see if they have ever been reported as a scammer. OS can't stop blacklisting on all sites ^^

I'll have to go back and re-read that section of the ToS, but I do think that creating a website specifically for the purpose of bringing attention to said players would be considered blacklisting.

On that note, how can you be sure that the player is actually a scammer, and that someone isn't just reporting them on the site for revenge? I wouldn't put it past some of the players that I've seen to do something like that...and a public list of people that are to be avoided based on an honor system holds a lot of potential for abuse.

When reporting someone, a screenshot would be required to submit the report. There could be a few mods to make sure that the person didnt just upload any picture and if so, delete the report.

I'm not trying to bust your idea, I would love to see who's been scamming and who hasn't...but I could easily falsify ss. (Note: I'm just trying to play devils advocate here, to make all of the angles seen) Take a ss of the trade and then take another standing the same place after the player logs off.

Well then i guess the person being a cused should always take a screenshot of them giving it back. So then maybe the mods could go ingame and talk to the person being acused and ask for screenshots of then giving it back. If there is not enough eveidence of somone getting scammed, then we will just delete the report. Only ppl with ALl the evidence report's would be viewable on the site.

For the mods, I would pick Trustworth people who want to help. I would create a guild in each server like [Scammer_Site_Mod] and the mods can make alts and i would invite them in guild.

P.S. I understand ur just trying to lay out the flaws it might have.

You are allowed to blacklist/trust people on your own personal website as some form of guide(what form though I can't fathom).

I would imagine the "trust" level would be similiar to EBay's rating for different sellers. (This might be only applicable for enhancers so I'll give it a no go)

Elsewise, ToS only applies to areas where it might be "enforced". Since those rules don't apply to your own personal website, its a clear yes that you can blacklist people. The only stumbling block to that idea is how are you gonna advertise your website to the others? Because, if you post your url on this forum, that would be in direct violation of ToS or whatever.

Hope this clears up your questions about this issue. Sorry I can't help further on going around this dilemna. Your idea certainly have creditability and I would love to help you. The only reason why I could think of why the ToS included confidential clauses would actually be protecting Outspark in terms of customer relations. Protecting criminals is itself a crime to select individuals like us :)

Advertising the site is actually an easier solution than you would think. The ToS does not permit 3rd party links in any posts/signatures/etc. However, you can talk about the site and PM the link to those who are interested.

Well i got this PM:

While I understand the reasoning behind your blacklisting database, we cannot allow you to advertise or link to your site on our forums.

The site stands in direct contradiction to our forum rules and policies. Blacklisting is not allowed here at Outspark. Players who are the victims of scams of feel another player is hacking, cheating, or behaving inappropriately, should submit all information to Outspark support so we can effectively deal with the situation rather than publicly blacklisting players.

Thanks for your understanding,

CM Saphar
