Well, so I decided to go to the Sandy Claws event, even if it was a 1-40 event but..

When I came to the event, there were MGH's (level 45 mobs). They killed some people. Okay, I guess some 4x's can kill it and it's okay for me.

But what the hell after. They spawned 200+ 6x greenkies. Gawd, everyone died, even the 7x's, what the hell was that -_-

1-40, yea right.

Rant done.

Lol...well...a lot of players did say outspark needed to make higher level events.

Guess the should have mentioned that perhaps the beginning of the event was only meant for 1-40 o.o

Also one more thing. I was trying to leave the event when the GM killed all the honeyings. Then when I walk there, he spawns them again and I die. I get revived and the GM kills the mobs again. Then I try to leave again and the GM spawns them again. -_-

I died on a bridge. After someone revived me, I died from a spawn of trees that were running across the bridge. In this case, I wouldn't mind some tree punching, but I was too dead to do anything. Anyway, I still danced at the end of the event even though I didn't get any pets :/ It's ok though. It was fun for my first event

Oh wow...I'll bet they mowed you down like (wait for it...)

A level 36 rampaging through Abyss wiping out level 20s! <uproarious laughter>

No, no, that was evil. Why should these overleveled beasts have been stomping lower levels? (wait for it...)

Well since they could, why shouldn't they? Bwaaaaaahahahahahaa! <wipes tears of laughter away>

No really, that was horrid, that was wrong. How could anyone, or any mob, do such a rude thing, especially to you? (You guessed it: wait for it...)

If you don't want to die in events, don't go to events! <gutbusting guffaw>

Oh, dear gods, thank you DF...I haven't laughed this hard in over a year! :D

i was following SnakeEyes while he was in forest of mist, after he proceeded to cram the bridge with angry wolves, he then proceeded a little while later to spawn ... wait for it MD! thats right the ducky itself, i ask you, how does even a full cs abusing, t3 scrolled lvl 40 beat MD? then, after following him some more and praising him (yes i was laughing at the sheer absurdity of all the mods and then the duck, he then suddenly proceeds to spawn several dozen (maybe even a hundred) elven trees, directly on me, so that i was dead before the lag even had time to clear, after that i race through the lag to find him again ... and he's filled the land bridge with boars ... boars ... after MD and elven trees he spawns boars ... regular boars, the ones idigenous to FoM ... ... ... ooook, anyone who supports the crazyness raise your hand

Lol supprises...wasnt the word I was thinking. I think they just like to sit back and watch us walk into their traps and die like lambs for the slaughter. xD

meh >.>" i rarely participate in events for these reasons... way too much lag... can't party and successfully have people tank the mobs. So the dps can't do anything but... sit there and hope it doesn't aggro them... So its usually the high lvl fighters or clerics with good computers that solo tank everything.

DF001

Yup, I don't usually lag, but nova + 200 spawns lags alot..especially with 100 players

I just have to point this out...if an event is said to be level 1-40, and players higher than level 40 show up...don't you think that may have just been punishment for not following the rules of the event?

I think it works out a heck of a lot more efficient than jailing all those people, or 'porting them out of the area.

Some of them were just walking through and stopped revive or buff someone.

Its probably more amusing too...but at the same time while they may have punished the players that were outside of the level limit boundaries...they also killed players who were within those boundaries.

That solution would be efficient in terms of time and the amount of work to be done, but the easiest route isn't always the best ^^

And I'm sure thats why many were there too...just to help revive some people....??????
Give me a break the events don't attract high lvls to "help out" they want to see whats going an and to get the "loot".
Take a lesson ...

actually, ironically enough, thats exactly what i was there doing, apart form watching i rezed and healed, and cured a few people since the lower levels were too busy with the mobs, i killed nothing, i took no prizes, didnt even try, i just wanted to watch and help

I can see where that might be the case, but I have to point out in return: Don't you think, especially in light of another recent...er...uproar-causing massacre, that while effective this might not be the best way to go about handling the situation?

I think it works out a heck of a lot more efficient than jailing all those people, or 'porting them out of the area.

I can't argue that point. But doesn't it at least smack of the "Kill'em all and let God sort'em out" approach? Sure, an efficient way to break up a riot is the old 1950s/1960s method that gave the "riot shotgun" its name, but it's hard to argue that you're likely to catch a lot of the innocent in the crossfire along with the guilty, yes?
