Pure END or pure STR?

So, this is my first MMO ever (I know, late to the party), and I was just curious about a few things. I'm currently playing as a fighter, lvl 28, and my stats are pretty varied across the board. I figured this was a smart thing to do, since I like to play alone, but after reading some posts, I began to realize that pure builds are a better way to go. (Also, I'm assuming that "pure build" implies that all extra stat points are placed towards only one stat. Otherwise, this post is completely pointless.) So, here's my question: Are pure builds the better way to go? If so, would pure STR or pure DEX perform better? (Keep in mind I like to play alone.)

Pure STR once you hit Lv 20 buy yourself an axe and start getting used to it. You can level so damn fast with one especially if its +9ed (Enhanced).

Pure END build fighters make terrible soloers but they are among the best in parties for huge amount of monsters at once.

Pure DEX fighters = No just no (I dont need to say anymore on this one dont waste your time)

I think STR is a good way to go for all purposes. Its great for soloing, and if ur fooling around in a party, its still good.

End is nice for hardcore party goers, as mentioned above. It maximizes ur ability to tank for the DD'ers to be efficient, and its easy on ur cleric to heal u.

I am working on DEX right now, and i think that people who say put DEX is bad, really haven't tried it, in general, and are just saying that because everyone else is saying it.

If this is your first mmo, i would suggest going pure STR. Its an easy build and u can see the benefits after a few levels. Then if ur curious, try an End build or hybrid.
