xp loss in abyss

so yesterday i was in the 2x abyss probably grinded for 1 hour got about 3k xp then i got killed by a lvl 30 and i was a lil mad but oh well 750 gone wont take long to get back. but some people out there know the spawn lagg that happens when u respawn and when lagg was gone i got kiled by someone every time i respawned so all of the xp gone i just logged out when it said the "move" thing im ok with the killing in abyss but seriously xp loss? thats a joke

That's the thing about abyss, it's really nice exp, but there's a chance that you'll be killed

It's a trade off; if you don't wanna get pked, don't go to abyss, it's that simple

You can expect for some people to tell you that "If you don't want to get killed and lose exp then don't go to the Abyss".

That seems to be their over simplified solution to dealing with the problem of having sadistic and idiot people being there in a place where they should not have access to in the first place.

Well I would just log out and not press the "move" button if I get killed like once or twice at the entrance, if I suspect a spawn killing. If I'm not lagging I'd just go outside the abyss to do something else. Abyss people can be jerks. Yeah it's totally legal but really rude. And just like in any other game they give the same reason for being rude: "It's just a game." It is just a game, but I don't think a game is an excuse to be impolite but we just have to live with it for now, you're not the only one, if that makes you feel better. :3 I get bullied on my alts all the time. You have to understand that internet bullies are bullied in real life most of the time. So they try to make themselves feel powerful by putting people under their foot in a game, a game where they can feel powerful more easily than feeling power in real life. Those kind of people just don't know how to solve their bullying problems so they become bullies themselves.

Anybody had any experience yet with a whole party on them??
I walked in a few minutes ago, I was just going to check if my buddy was there.
I get attacked by archer, mage, cleric, and fighter. Not sure what their levels were, but all over 25 at least.
They couldnt take me down, I had a buff (lvl47 one), but my def still low since I'm mostly STR archer.
I found it hilarious even though I left to avoid exp. loss.

There is somethink outspark refuses to understand--> spam killing IS harassment
Spam killing or dishonorable fights in abyss end up in trash talk at the 99% of the cases, and guess what? trash talk IS harassment

I love reading the TOS here is a 2 line statement

What is outspark saying? Oh sorry it is the developer's choices...
Now outspark SHOULD abide by THEIR rules and not allow ppl to go around free to harass anyone. Outspark SHOULD listen to the community's suggestions cause they are the ppl who actually play AND pay this game

i think they should just take the pvp out of the abyss period and make level pvp's somewhere else such as the fbz in roumen can be for 10-30 the one in eld can be for 31-50 and so on, that way if you dont wanna deal with jerks you dont have to and can still go in abyss and get great exp.

I am not sure about that. Would that defeat the purpose of an abyss? The purpose of an abyss is to offer great exp and drops with the risk of being killed by others. It's like gambling. The stakes can be high at times, but so can the rewards.
If they take out the pvp in abyss they may make some other aspect of the game harder >:

We all know that Gm's ALWAYS use the excuse,"The abyss has good drops and exp all for the risk of being killed." RIGHT....ok first of all I can tell they think its so balanced and everything is fair but actualy the truth is the risks completely outweigh the rewards.


We are all aware, at least on this thread, including the OP, that going to abyss has "high rewards" and "high risks", but a definition does not make a good explanation. From what I read on the Original Post, the major point seems to be that the risks seem to far outweigh the benefits of abyss. This something that many people would agree with.

To clarify about the *imbalanced* risks of abyss:
-If you are not a fighter or to a lesser degree a cleric, you are at a PvP disadvantage, and your risk goes up.
-If you happen to want to grind on monsters of your own level for XP and drops you are further disadvantaged as of 10/28 by having to contend with players far above your level whose sole interest is in preventing you from receiving the "rewards" of abyss. As of that date, risk has gone up.
-XP Loss from getting PKed has been added, and so as of 10/28 the risk of abyss has increased.
-Kill Points create some incentive to increased PvP in abyss, so risk has gone up accordingly.
-And of course, if you happen to lack SparkCash you are at an additional disadvantage, and your risk increases.

Rewards of abyss:
-Slightly better XP and loot than what you could be making playing the rest of the game (and only in between levels 50-70).

Sadly, there is not much we can do to affect our risk in abyss short of staying out of it (which is the problem). Unfortunately, this is a change from the way things were that many people simply do not like. Apparently, some also feel that player's behavior has changed in response to abyss as to become a detriment to the whole community. I personally see few changes in the past half a year as impacting as the abyss changes and the repeat quest changes, as to alter the perceived behavior of the player base. Reactions and opinions such as the OP's, are valid and justified so that an explanation of the situation that they are in does not qualify as either consolation or refutation.

So in the future, try to spare us the platitudes of "...stay out of abyss..." and the like.

Well I can't say I've experienced this since none of them would dare come to 8x abyss and I've given up on lvling an alt as well.

Hovever, I'll think of it as karma if OS ever puts the lvl caps back on the Abyss...lets just say that many people will want the heads of the infamous pkers on the leadership boards, the ones that kill people many lvls lower than them for fun/kill points.

It's a game its designed this way for a reason 'GET BoT' (Blessing Of Teva) deal with the exp loss or move on and grind elsewhere its a PvP Map make them lose exp for a change? gang them? you have several options of 'defending' yourselves but most never care and all they ever do is complain hiding in a corner or running into one isnt going to help best start poting buffing and getting a cleric at all times

This dude/chic doesn't want to lvl because he cant pick ppl off in the higher lvl abyss so he just screws lvling and up his kill point at the entrance to lvl 20. Now if he gains xp he will be forced to give it up, and move on. Plus PvP is the only place where you can be killed by "monster" (other player in this case)and lose one heck of a lot of xp but kill that same "monster" and not gain ne. personally i love abyss hate lvl 20 but love abyss. If you are lvl 24 and up go to lvl 30 it is much safer there only person has fought me there and it was a fighter and he did it bare handed just for fun.

Not just a joke, I have suggested to Outspark that they enable a de-leveling feature to ensure that slaps don't try to PvE too heavily in the abyss. It would also limit the amount of lvl X6 PKers, who would like to be slapped back to level 10!?

Hmm the level 20 abyss is HORRIBLE you want to get in and out to level 30 as fast as you can cause that place is a grave yard. There are people that just like to PK people and its sad. I dont really mind the exp loss if someone really close to my level kills me...but when someone clearly above my level, powered up with t3s and stuff and DEFFENITLY should not be in the abyss kills me while im grinding...I hate that.

I think almost all the abyss problems would narrow down if they put the 0-9 Level caps on again like 20-29, 30-39 cause then you would have a chance if someone decided to kill you. Cause a level 66 in the 50 abyss shouldnt be there, they are just there to kill.

This also breeds alot of hate...just the other day I was at the 50 abyss on my 52 Mage, so I was in the right level range. I was also with my buddy cleric friend. No one was around, no one was using the room but me and her. Then out of nowhere a level 6x maybe 66 I couldnt tell she had SC items. Comes over and kills both me and her while dragging a mob...she didnt even want the room just to kill me and her.

Of course this got my friend mad, she just so happened to be in a strong guild who had alot of 6xes so with one word they had the 50 abyss swamped with PPKers they destroyed that girl, spawn killed her. Also the party she was in. After she left the abyss they warred her and now the 7xes could fight her as well. It was justice...but it was sad that it ever came to that.

The abysses breed war, they divide people, this game was made to optimize the community aspect of the game. It has also anywhere you go any map you go people are talking having fun partying with friends. You make some really good friendships in this game.

The new abyss policy things and level caps really mess all that up. People really get mad about PKers now...theres alot of hate going around and alot of upset people in the right place and not disrupting people that get slaughered by people who shouldnt be there.

Getting killed over a spot is one thing...getting slaughterd for sport is another. =/

I'm a lvl 36 in lvl 20 abyss, does that make me a bad person?
If you go to fbz1 it's full of lvl 89's, if you go to 20 abyss it's full of 3x fighters..
Lvling to 36 is like capping but it's easier and armour/weapons are cheaper.
I personally never kill anyone lower lvl unless they're picking on someone else, very few people do PK lower lvls there anymore due to the fact they get an axe inserted into their head seconds later..

so i started playing a month ago along with my gf and recently started going into abyss as we just found out about it.

Ill admit, im sick of pkers, and if i try to look for a fair pvp, it never happens as a level 36 in a level 20 area will just aoe and kill all of us, post " lolololololololol n00bs lololololol" and proceed to spawn kill us.

quite frankly, im seriously considering quiting and going back to playing wow. seriously, if your a level 36 in 20 abyss doing that, then you have no life. -_-.


also for everyones knowledge, from 3pm till around 8pm is when the worst pking happens. i started going in abyss at around 9pm and most of the pkers are asleep as they have school. so if your around level 28ish and you see uhgg or sades feel free to ask to pvp. ill be willing to accept. other than that ill be grinding away.

Abyss is NOT the place for consensual pvp. At least not the 20 one, in most cases. Maybe some 3x's in there might have consensual duels, but usually I see the SUPRISE; J00 D3AD attacks.

Fbz is usually better, if you can find a quiet place where people won't interfere.
