How do i make no background gif images?

not sure if this is where im spose to submit this lol, but i was wonder what programs can be used to make a gif with no white bg :eek:

Erase the background in any program that handles animations/photo-work; saving it as .gif or .png will show the transparent background then, which is what you want.

For a .gif, you'd have to go through each frame, of course.
