View Full Version : Many observations & suggestions.

Been playing a week, I've played a number of other MMO's and I figured I should put in my thoughts & questions.

This was originally a Japanese game right? Do any suggestions we put here matter?

Do the GM's respond to these? Do they respond to many forum posts? Or do they only put up the events?

Farmers.... good luck with those....

Cash shop.... even if it isn't open, I'd be interested for there to at least be a list of what is currently planned to go in there, give us something less to complain about if we know what we want is somewhere.

Kingdom Quest.... They fill up within a second, you know it, I know it, and I for one am annoyed by it. I like that they happen once every 2 hours, stops people farming them over & over & getting bored of them too quick maybe. Anyway, we can all cry about the KQ filling up too quick, but that doesn't do any good, we need to offer suggestions. Have a 10 min recruiting phase, at the end of the 10 mins just open up as many KQ as needed (I hope the servers can handle that). So if 150 people sign up, open 10 KQ, if 300 people sign up, open 20 KQ. If 301 people sign up, we'd have 1 extra, have the last guys KQ go as the current does, as soon as that last one fills after recruit time nobody else gets in til the next wave.

Kill Stealing.... You don't have a "monster tagging" system like other games, so why not just let everyone attacking the monster get the kill? How many sucky KQ did I heal of the King Slime one, only to NEVER get the killing blows on the King & Queen. My group helped, I healed, I saved people, and I got nothing for it.

Money sucks in this so far, people offering 40c for a copper lump suck more. People advertising 200c for copper lumps & really offering 20c suck more. Have the vendor prices as the minimum buy price on items.

I was buying 2 stacks of the same item yesterday, I accidentally had 2 different prices. It wouldn't let me open the shop (which is good) but did not give me a useful error message.

Showing a page big enough to buy/sell 20 items on a shop and only being able to buy/sell 5 sucks. If it's a cash shop item to get the full 20 fair enough, but I'd really like some kind of trade benefit for additional houses.

Buy/sell maximum 50.... why? I'm leveling my trades, I want to buy 300 of item a, 150 of item b, etc. I don't want to have to re-do my shop every time I buy something to make sure there is room for more sales.

Empty shops - close them automatically, clean up the shopping district.

Chatting - You press enter to open chat, you type your message, press enter to send. CLOSE CHAT AUTOMATICALLY at this point. If I want to type another line I will open chat again. At the moment chat stays open, and if I don't realise & hit a heal to save someone.... I havn't healed them, I've just typed 3.

Spent stats. So I spent a few stat points early on that I regret. There is a "free stat" button, it shows a dialog box, it dosn't free up your stats. We are spending stat points, we are spending skill points, and sometimes we realise we picked wrong. Only option is start a new character. Trade skills being permanent I can live with, they don't improve the char like some other games, but stats? No. (please note that I like where I put my stats, I'm not just complaining for my own benefit on this one)

Trades... so I picked up scroll production, nothing looked especially useful, but trades are generally fun so I figured I'd try one out. Trade starts at lvl 0, automatically has 3 lvl 0 skills, and a blue thing that says "1step" above them that you can highlight but not select (I still don't know what the hell that 1step thing is). I hunted down materials for my level 0 skills & tried to make some "Missing production skill" ***? It's right there!!! Or so I thought..... Apparently I needed an "Accuracy" spell scroll from the skill trainer, for my "Power" scroll production. Accuracy = Power? I'm supposed to put 2 + 7 together & realise the answer is 5?

If I can't do a lvl 0 skill at lvl 0, why is it on my list?

Evasion spell scroll skill = Sheild increase scroll......

I picked up some scroll that I needed fame for, I think it's a tier 2 scroll (though I'm not sure it says that), I had the requirements in fame to buy it, and now when I use it it says "skill not high enough" it dosn't show any requirements, am I supposed to guess here? ok, lets try & use it again today, nope? see you again tomorrow Mr scroll.

I read my quest descriptions, one of the quests for my revive spell quest line asked for Fragons, I'm looking all over for them.... and apparently it was a typo for Prock Zones (what sort of name is Prock Zone? I assume Fragons was the correct name)

Did some slime quest early on, the description was "kill hero slime, kill speedy slime, kill something else" I'm killing speedy slimes & not getting credit.... and apparently they wern't in the actual objectives.

To get into KQ you need to click the Hour Glass button next to the map. I was telling this to someone who asked, and it cam out "you need to click the Hour Gl*****". Let us turn of censoring if we choose.

Quests are no longer available after a while. I'd prefer some left there for later, even if I'm a level to quickly run through them. Somebody in Elderine wanted to race me to kill Boogy Knights. I was having trouble with the mobs at the gate from Elderine to Forest of Mist so I figured I'd get that quest later.... it is no longer available to me... I've missed it, I can no longer have as much fame as someone my level who got it.

Looting options, we had it on sequential loot, I was getting quest items that someone else needed for a quest I did not have.

Was in the Mara hideout today, 2 warriors in the party, both friendly people, apparently Marlone can drop weapons or something. How do we random a weapon they can both use? There is no option to output a random number or anything.

KQ Partying. Start us in 3 groups of 5, if we feel like it we will switch on our own, but too many noobs can't work themselves into 3 groups of 5 & the smarter more helpful people end up suffering because of it. We can't see who's in which other party, or we'd figure it out ourselves. If 2 noobs are in their own party & not joining a group of 3, we don't know who those 2 noobs are, and my protection buff suffers because of them.

Health bars above peoples heads. If someone outside my party is injured, I need to select them to know, I'm not in the habit of selecting random people, and I've seen players I could have saved die.

We are fighting a boss, I'm doing my best to keep the tank alive, boss will take like 5 mins to kill... so there I am watching the warriors health..... and watching the warriors health..... and watching the warriors health..... how far through the fight are we? How do I find out? Type a request? Nope, can't do that, warrior will die if I take a second to type. Select the boss? Nope, I shouldn't be doing that either, I need the warrior selected to keep him alive. I find bosses boring as hell, I want to know how we are doing in a fight. Show Target of Targets health, mouse over to see health bars without selecting... SOMETHING!!!!!!

Normally in games I use WASD to move, I can't turn my character in this with that... so I use left click... I don't know if I can change this, but by default left click is also the option to select a player.... left click to select warrior fighting boss, miss warrior by a little and hit ground instead, all of a sudden my char is running into the boss & dying.... Ummmm, thanks?

While fighting we come across groups of 4+ monsters, some classes shoot one, kill it, shoot the next, etc. I don't know about the higher levels, but at this stage Warriors & Clerics stand nearby & hope for just 1 monster to see them, or fight all 4 & die.... can't we throw a rock at 1 or something?

Tried a mage yseterday, love the damage on it compared to my cleric that I've stated up for healing. However, I can cast at lvl 7 EVERY one of my spells, and end up having ALL my cooldowns happening & nothing to do. I'm not going to run up & smack something with my staff, so the staff doing ranged damage would be good, no matter how pitiful.

So I step through the Elderine portal to forest of mist, and somebody has just trailed 10 monsters to the portal.... and all of a sudden I'm in Roumen? ***?

Does this game get patched much? It's in Beta, so I assume.... someone... is working on it, how often do we see the fruits of this?

Quest rewards... so I paid for my mace skill/armor piece/etc. before doing quest X & mace skill/armor piece/etc. is a reward for it, why not something else? extra copper reward instead? something more beneficial than selling the extra armor piece etc.

I think that will do me for now, I'm not trying to complain, I'm trying to point out where I think improvments could be made.

Adding to the list:

Partying with my friend, KQ comes up. I get in, he dosn't. He might get in the next, or not get into any, but I was playing Fiesta with my friend, we should get into KQ together.

Adding to the list:

I have farmer spam chat left on in cities, so there is a constant flow of chat. I notice something go by that isn't spam, I scroll up to try and see it, but every time something new appears in chat my window it jumps to the new thing, not letting me read the item I wanted to read, I don't want it to jump back to the newest items for every new item, I will scroll back to the new part when I'm done myself.

My shop is open at the moment, it's buying Torn Leather, one of the spaces just bought it's full 50. I can't add something new to that spot without closing & re-opening the whole store.

I'm selling Health & Mana pots, the title of my store is "Health & Mana Pots", I check my computer & see that all my mana pots have sold, I cannot change the store name to just "Health Pots" without closing it & re-opening from scratch.

At the least I would like a few saved store configurations, so I can just click one button & it will open my buying store how I usually have it.

I can't tell which zones my party members are in, can't see them on the world map, no right click or mouse over info, etc. Makes it annoying when your waiting for someone to come back from a death. They might have decided to go AFK in town & I wouldn't know.

So there was one lvl 0 Scroll that I never found, and today I found it. All my scroll skills are called "Spell Scroll: etc", the one I couldn't find is "Recipe: Devine magic".... well, recipe something, like the potions skills.

When I started out on skills, I grabbed all my offensive skills I could learn, grabbed all my passive skills, and then I moved to the alchemy tab. Skills with no red requirements I could learn...... or so had been the case with my offensive and passive skills. Trade skills in the alchemy page do not follow this rule, I bought the skill to make elrue, I bought a item de-composition skill..... only to find out I couldn't use any of these. I understand now these were not for my trades, but I didn't know that starting out, these skills didn't have any red requirements after all.

So I have materials for making scrolls today, I have alot of materials....I really have alot. So I figure I'll set it to make 50 power scrolls & go get a coffee.... The number in the window shows I can make multiple hundred. I can't type 50 in this to only make 50, I can't hold down the decrease arrow to quickly get the number down to 50, I literally have to click it multiple hundred times to get the number down to 50. I ended up not getting my coffee & just watching it & canceling production after it made 50. And you wouldn't like me when I've been denied coffee.

Why not just toss the mats in warehouse and have just enough for 50 scrolls in your bag, then go have yourself a cup of that oh so delightful coffee? =)

My comment was a suggestion to your "observation". And why should you have to?... I don't know maybe then you could have coffee and make 50 scrolls simultaneously? It's simply a quick-fix that accomplishes your needs in this particular case. Believe me outspark is not going to cater to every one of our needs. So if you don't feel like you should have to, then it's your choice coffee or scrolls?

It would be nice though :D

In Game Settings? I can't see it, so once again: Where?

Go back in & have a look if you want yourself. There is no option there for other players health whatsoever. If there is & I'm totally missing it, you'll have to be alot more specific about where it is because I can't for the life of me find one.

So I just did a quest for Smith Karls in Elderine on my mage alt, turned it in fine, and theres a repeat for it, this time he wants 0 broken swords, 15 low class copper ore & 3 normal class copper ore.

Only option is "No way" I can't accept the quest.

So I'm buying at the moment, I'm in Roumen, chatting isn't any use unless someone sees the bubble above your head.... but I'm in my shop buying so there is the shop message there. A few people are around my shop, someone sells me my quota of one of the items, I don't pack up shop incase someone sells me some of the other items.

I'd still like more of the one I just bought my quota on, but we don't have extra shop spaces, or are able to set a quota more than 50, so as I don't know specifically who sold me what my only option is typing.

I say "I can buy more of itemX if you have more"... and where does the text box appear? Behind my damn shop message where nobody can see/read it.

So I'm in Echo Cave, doing one of my mining runs, I have Material Composition, and the only way it levels is from mining runs, much mining required. Somehow myself & the other miners get to chatting in /s, an hour later we are still chatting, it's been a good friendly conversation. What hapens next? Someone says "ok, I'm going to get my announcer title here"
"1"
"2"
"3"
"4"
"5"
"6"
"7"
Fiesta, why do you have titles encouraging people to spam? Stop it Fiesta. Stop it now. Nobody likes being spammed, I don't like gold spammers, I don't like people spamming for the sake of spamming, yet it's encouraged?

Same as in Forest of Mist the other day, someone says "hi" friendly enough, a few people say hello back. The first person continues:
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
"hi"
........great.

I hear there are also titles like remain without saying stuff for 72 hours & 96 hours.... cause people to be quiet if you want, nobody hates a quiet person.

"Fiesta Captain of the Guards" 96 hours in one zone without logging off or leaving I hear? I honestly don't intend to get any of these 72 hours, 96 hours, whatever titles.... but why are they there? Isn't it bad sense to make these sort of titles? Some of us lag running down streets as it is, sure we can Shift+Z to hide people, but how many of these people are needlesly there? Taking up YOUR bandwidth.

So at level 26 I've handled every challenge that has been put before me, I'm known throughout the land. Town Chief Rumenus greeted me earlier today & told me he'd shout me an ale at the Tavern tonight. The Children gathered around me to hear stories of my deeds! But then.... this afternoon.... a foul beast I never expected to encounter... a succubus in disguise I tell you! And item vendor in Elderine who I believe went by the name of Nina. She gave me a few items, didn't ask for a single copper or silver piece, try as I might to pay for my goods she refused.

This evening I went to the Tavern to accept that ale from Rumenus, but he said he had never heard of me, didn't recognize me at all! I thought it was a joke, but nobody recognized me, or recalled the tales of my heroics. Something had happened to my Fame.

Humerous story aside... YOU SPEND FAME FOR ITEMS???? Fame is how famous you are going by the world, how do you buy items & get LESS FAMOUS? Having access to buying items depending on how famous you are I could understand, but actually spending fame? It may as well be extra money. "Urgh, do I have to pay for that with Australian dollars? or American dollars?".

Continuing on.... I think I saw something that required 30,000 trade skill points in the alchemy tab in my skill master in Elderine, if it wasn't that much it was close. I've been playing for near 2 weeks now, I think my scrolls is a bit over 1000, but I worked that, I worked it hard. I bought alot from other players, I traded materials from friends, I had my computer on 24/7 buying & selling.... 30,000? How long is that supposed to take? I wanted to be able to be able to do a few on my material compositions, farmed ore at a leisurly page, probably get 100 low quality an hour. takes 400 to get 100 skill points.... Hmmmm, 30,000 max skill that I can see at this stage? Urgh.

I got into Golden Hill today, 1st time in around 50 tries since hitting 20, didn't see too many golden bugs, don't think I saw any in the mines I hit, saw a few drop from monsters, but apparently other parties did more dps to the monsters so I wasn't able to loot. I remember one particularly frustrating one, just lying on the ground, everyone else ran further on, it just wouldn't let me pick it up, it didn't even say "failed to obtain item" like some other bugged items, I waited for about a min figuring it would let me pick it up some time. All in all I ended up with 1 bug out of needing 10 I believe.... oh well, guess I'll get a 2nd one in another 50 tries to get in.

In Marlone hideout today, party with another cleric & a warrior for a little. Some Blessed hammer drops, warrior quickly picks up & gives it to his friend. If I had picked it up myself I would have flipped a coin & given it to the other cleric if I lost. I guess I'm just nice. I don't mind losing an item. Losing without being given any chance? I don't like that. The way it is I could have lost it to someone that just sold it instead of giving it to his mate. There are friendly groups also (not sure if I mentioned this already), groups that are willing to give all party members of their class a chance at itemX. These friendly groups would benefit on a way to generate a random number in game. Highest wins type thing.

So my lowbie mage jumped like 3 levels on his first KQ. I think because of this jump there are quests that were just never offered to him. I'm pretty sure I've grabbed every possible quest on my mage, and there are ones I did on my cleric that I just havn't seen on my mage. As mentioned before, I like getting to all my quests, even if I'm a little late.

Herbs, Mushrooms, Trees, why should I touch any of these at low levels? I grabbed my sea muchrooms, I grabbed some starfish, I only grabbed these for quests. Why not add some low level crafting that uses them. I have a concentration increase scroll in my bank (increases int & crit) that I can't make with scroll making, so theres an option. I also hear my power scroll increases accuracy, not power. A true power scroll is also an option, I'm sure all trades have options.

My low level mage needs a piece of tier 2 meat, my cleric needs tier 2 wood, meat is very high in material composition for the level of this quest, and wood isn't even on my tier one list, these type of quests could be ones you ask around for help with. At this stage material composition & decomposition seem like the 2 most useless trades. I can't see them getting much better at higher levels. These trades need options. Composition could buff elrues etc to lucky & blessed. De-comp could destroy armor & stuff & get some ore & stones etc.

Actually, if you miss quests, there is now a button when you talk to the NPCs offering some of the quests where you can retroactively accept them. It's like "Quest List" or something. As long as they are still available. I know the 15 Speedy Honeyings Quest dissappears as soon as you can take on Mini Greenkeys to some degree.

My point is that I've missed quests because they are not still available. I do use the quest list button to check what other quests people have, but some quests I saw on one char & totally jumped on the other in one KQ & now they are just gone.

I'm still hoping some of the GM's are actually looking in here, and considering the things I say. I'm pretty sure I know the answer to this, and I believe the answer isn't good, so I'll add this question for them to consider. What happens in Golden Hill if the person who gets the key disconnects from the game, or just dosn't open the door?

Everything in the OP here is accurate, and should be looked into.

My biggest "gripe" right now is the grammar in the game. It's absolutely horrendous, and some of the phrases are obviously just translated because they make zero sense. This is something I really don't understand. How could this have been pased up in CB? Changing a few words in the code is incredibly easy. Find&Replace works just fine. The quest system alone could be a lot more interesting if you didn't have to decipher every phrase.

The phrases the monster's speak are pretty bad too. I've seen some amusing ones, and I wish they were all either "bravado style" or "humorous". As it is, half of them are gibberish and/or have strange characters in place of apostrophes, or just randomly placed characters.

Any thoughts on an ignore list? Generally there is probably only 5-10 spammers in each city (Dakkon would have a better idea on numbers tham me, he kicks them every time he's on). So I go to a city, ignore 5-10 people, then get myself a usable chat window. Fixing the problem do-it-yourself style..... well, maybe not fixing, but at least putting on a bandaid.

So I hit level 27 & got the quest for Lustered soul dust.... I have never ever gotten a tier 3 item drop, except from mining. I spent most of lvl 27 in moonlight tomb as I got my first quest there, figured it was time to head that way. Lots of tier 2 item drops, but hit 28 without a tier 3 of anything still. Only option seems to be to get price gouged by a higher level player. Material Composition can't make them at tier 1 or 2.

I use the mouse to walk, alot of us probably use the mouse to walk. Have you tried clicking down a street to walk down it? I don't mind having to avoid clicking on the mushroom houses..... but the messages on them too? Can we possible get an option to allow click through on the messages at least?

Same problem, the chat box & combat log, I'm a cleric, we don't have a ranged pull spell, we run in to get a monsters attention, then run out before we get too many monsters attention. I selected the lock button thinking this might let me click to move in the chat & combat boxes areas.... the only thing it does is stop you changing the size & probably moving it? That hasn't really been a problem. Wanting to run in that direction has. I will try & remember to use "S" to back out, but using the mouse for everything already makes it a hard habit to pick up.

Is there an auto run key? I know I can click in the distance to make my char run to that point, but pointing my char in one direction & hitting autorun wouldn't go astray either.

I looked through the options to see if I could change some of my mouse setup, left click selects the tank fighting the boss, left click also makes you run to that point (if you accidentally miss the tank you'll run at the boss). I know I've mentioned this before, but I figured I'd go into the options & see if I could do something about it myself. I can't change either of these it seems.

At this stage in this thread I figure I've covered most of the larger issues I see that people will experience early in their Fiesta experience. I'll keep updating anyway as I go, adding new issues I come across, but I'm probably to a stage they will be smaller issues.

Just hit lvl 29 & did a quest for item merchant pey in roumen. The quest wasn't much, just listen to her talk a second & then click complete. She told me about a nice mover called Coll which eats hay & I can apparently buy him from her for 100s..... she does not have a mover named Coll.... she does not have anything for 100s.

So I'm fighting a mob, swinging away, I hit heal, I continue swinging away as soon as heal is cast. I realize my buffs arn't on, I click protect & resist, now here's the problem, I stop swinging when casting these. Meaning I have to press my attack button again, or double click the mob which risks selecting the wrong mob. I click my SP stone, I stop attacking & totally de-select my current mob. Not good.

I think i've actually seen coll. This low lvl player was riding around with some crazy looking horsey and when I asked about it she replied that it was a special gift from a GM after an event. So I'm assuming that horse was coll and it's in game. Just not purchasable

Also.. about that ignore list, there ahs been much talk about it in many many threads but we ahven't goten an official response yet. I would like to hear from one of the asian versian players to see if an ignore function ahs been added... since the asian client is months ahead of the english one.

Auto run is on the bar of icons under actions

Thankyou :) I'll have a look later & see if I can bind that to a key.

And on with my report:

When you select a player or moster, it shows their health/sp/pic in the top middle of the screen. This display is bigger than it looks. It has a transparent extra bit that you cannot click through for the purposes of running etc.

Kingdom quest (again) level 29, Gold Hill. I had a full inventory when I got in, I figured I'd do something about it right before the last boss. Alas I forgot to do something about it (my own fault, not the complaint). I wasn't too worried, I've gotten alot of empty boxes, some potions, some stones & figured though I had missed the box it probably wasn't worth it anyway. I was nearing lvl 30 & was more interested in the experience bonus, which has always been reasonably good..... until now..... I think it was about 380 exp for finishing the KQ. Hell, I lose around 470 for a single death at lvl 29. The treasure box is a pretty high chance of nothing or junk, and now the experience bonus is becoming junk too? The solution to fixing queue times should not be driving us away.

Unfortunately it has been my experience that if your inventory is full at the end of the KQ and you dont get the bonus box you dont get the bonus experience for completeing the quest either

*sigh* Well, that's something at least, I figured I had just gotten to a level the bonus had decreased to just being that crap, like getting 1 exp for monsters that used to give you 10 at the appropriate level. Well that's one more incentive to make sure I have room I guess. Either way, the post still stands as something that needs work, even if it needs work in a different way after your revelation :) Would be nice if event items could "overflow" somewhere, just to a bit of storage you can't use but the game will store items til you remove them from there.

If I could create my own game, I would, and you'd be the guy that plays for free during Beta & doesn't offer any helpful suggestions what so ever right? This game is in Beta, meaning we are Beta testers, we play, and we offer feedback to help iron out bugs & make this game great.

Havn't added to this in a little, but here's some small things, and some things I felt I needed to add upon.

The level 6 to use shout has made shout workable, all the spam has moved to normal chat though, and thus we still need an ignore list. Playing warcraft for quite some time, I never had more than 3 people on my ignore list, but so often I seem to get my screen spammed in this game, text does not fade from the text box (which is fine) but yet people feel the need to spam their message 20 times as if it would encourage me to buy their item instead of just **** me off.

Roxa has been spamming /s for the last few hours probably trying to get World DJ. If it isn't farmers spamming me, its noobs that think they need a damn title. There should be no titles for do X task in Y time without logging. All titles should be like drinking, best done in moderation. I doubt you will get rid of these type of titles because people that didn't get them yet will cry, so change them, if world DJ is 5000 lines of text (I'm not sure exact numbers myself), get rid of the time limit on it. Will this stop people spamming to get it? No. My suggestion? Instead of having them do it in /s, have them do it in guild & let the guild masters sort them out. 5000 lines of text in guild without a time limit on it & guild masters policing spam themselves means it is probably more likely 5000 lines of friendly text, and that's good text.

The cleric trainer in Elderine - You can't click on most of her. Only her shoulders & head is selectable.

I'd like to see more exp on monsters like speeder kebing & piggy bat. Generally we try and avoid them, they take ages to kill, fair enough. They drop nothing better than normal monsters. Their exp is not much better than normal monsters. They are the monsters that annoy you, you either waste potions killing them, run away & probably end up training them on someone else, or die. Why not at least make the experience comparable to time spent killing them?

My game closed just now, I don't know why, but I started it back up & it said Teva was full, I clicked it a couple of times & I got in. As fiesta gains more players this could become an issue. I assume I got in because there is a decent amount of people logging on & off all the time & not many waiting at the moment, however a queue system would be nice if the server is full. Something to let in whoever has waited the longest, not whoever has nothing better to do & clicks the most.

I leave fiesta running in the background with my shop open while surfing the net. I turn the master off while fiesta is running & I'm not playing. I still hear the sound that plays when friends log on while the master volume is off though.

Game settings, sound settings, graphic settings, all have their own button on the menu. However all also have a tab for each other in their respective options. These tabs do not work.

im too lazy to make a whole new thread for bugs n such.

- your scroll production screen says it takes 1000 production points to move on to tier 2 scrolls. or is it? turns out i takes 1200 points to get to your first scroll =_=
- there is no existing shield and scroll skills past tier 1. (vitality has been discovered but its SUPER rare.)
- i missclick in shops ALL THE TIME and automatically buy something i didnt want. why not make a confirmation pop up like it is when you sell equipment?
- bleed and trip are the DEFINITION of nerf! PLEASE beef it up! or at least make it stun or something...
- make stats upgrade by %, not a set amount. ( str adds 1.3 ish to attk EVERY lvl. not usefull in high lvls)
- make it harder for a cleric to heal oneself. it usually takes more than 2 players to kill 1 cleric.
- sometimes, after a guild war you can still attack the opposing team. idk the exact details but it should be checked out.

some ideas

-Quest toggle on/off screen
-Helmet toggle on/off
-Hide player option ( Love it ), but need to beable to get it to work while in a group and not hide members.
-Respawn spots in zones not towns? cut down on town lag
-Green items ( monster drops) should be differant looking making them more neat
-shops should be 100 yards from drop spots in town from Death or KQ and NPC and should be 5 yard radius apart.
-titles people get for spammming and caps should be Shame titles, and when one gets one for spamming for 3 hours and using massive caps should be a forced title like a dence cap(sp?)

seriously agree on some of the issues. mods must look and comment about the progress or give some confirmation or something...

my biggest gripe is that being an archer and fighting something like a something knight, i am force to use potions instead of my runes because the moment i use the runes i deselect from the monster. plus because of the extremely little space i have on the screen, i can't click run far away then click back at monster to engage him without getting pummelled more than once, which requires more heals and more running and more getting pummelled. in the end i either die or survive running away feeling abused. if its just me then i guess i have clumsy fingers, but again, the two message screens take up 1/5 of the screen, even after i zoom out all the way and changed my screen to 1024*1200. i would like it if we can zoom out farther so that we can see more of our surroundings.

btw thanks for the info about being able to change the chat message when u finished typing. many a times i would be attacking something, then respond to someone else, get attacked by another monster, try to fight back only to realize that i have typed "334445564433"

other than that good work finding the bugs and keep it up. we need it.

o i also forgot, i'm only a lv19 archer and to me leaving eldrine is a death trap. just the other day i was fighting ratmen and as far as i know only can be found in the south portion of forest of mists. thats three screens of treking if u haved died and start from roumen. so i figured hey i have a eldrine scroll, i can tp there and run just one screen... nope. the moment i run out i'm engaged by guys 5 or 6 lvs higher than me. basically one shot kill. but heres the kicker, guess where i respawn from. thats right, roumen. so i either want to do a 2 min trek or try a tp again and hope to get lucky. my point is that lower lv monsters should be closer to the towns and higher lv monsters far away so that the low level people like me can have a chance. also if i died right outside in one town shouldn't i be teled to it instead of a town thats farther away?

"make it harder for a cleric to heal oneself. it usually takes more than 2 players to kill 1 cleric."

What? Seriously, have you thought about your statement here? Clerics do hardly any damage at all. Now you want to take away their advantage? How about mages can't do as much damage or fighters don't have so much defense? I definitely don't agree with your suggestion.

Every class has it's own specific advantages and disadvantages. Taking away the advantages and leaving the disadvantages is just ... wrong.

Isila
10-16-2007, 10:37 AM
I agree with Leedles... Clerics do crap damage to people their level, and we can't stop them from spamming potions/HP stones... theres no way we would win if it was harder to heal ourselves... we simply just do not have enough Dmg output.

Anyway, I agree with the OP on a lot of things. Most of these are simple things that wouldn't take a whole lot to fix. And I certainly hope the GMs are reading this, and if so taking it in, but honestly, I'm just not feeling it's happening.

My biggest gripe about the game is not being able to do KQ... almost at all. And when I do get in.. my friends aren't in there with me and I feel bad cause I left them behind. I'm not saying they should have more KQ, though a tad more wouldn't hurt, however, make it so people who got in last time can't go next time to make room for those who haven't or somesuch, just make the KQ once every hour so that one group of people can go one hour, another group the next hour, then the first group still has a chance to go in 2 hours. I think it'd make it a little more fair. As to not being able to do the KQ with friends, I'm not sure how this would be fixable unless they just added more KQ so everyone wasn't rushing to get in all the time, but then this would lead to farming as you stated.

I think a solution for that would be to introduce a teleport point for players in the town. In the game SRO that i played, players can click on a portal in town to set that this is the town i want to respawn/teleport to if i die. Right now there's no way you can designate where you wanna respawn if you die someway outside.

Trading with someone just now, they threw in their half, they clicked lock, I clicked lock, then realised I hadn't put in any money (was a real life friend, I forgot they wanted to mooch money off me). I couldn't unlock the trade. I realise we don't want people pulling something out of their trades at the last second & getting away with it, but that's generally why unlocking one to change something should unlock both. Both parties then verify the trade & lock their own halves again.

Not "the trade is screwed" cancel it & start from scratch.

I have laughed my butt off reading your observations.... you make a lot of sense and should be invited to "closed beta" on that other game that "a chosen few" are mucking up for the rest of us. How about this one? When a player finally gets to level 25 and above, have the option of buying a ticket for a "flying dragon service" from/to any location on the world map. That way we can concentrate on the game and our goals instead of how to kill/avoid/navigate areas that are uncomfortable? Just my thought.

I just realized that after lv 20, i'm dirt poor. Everything that was once affordable costs way to much. Spells and armor that were once a couple of copper is now a bunch of silver. Granted I do know that as better items are always more expensive, there should be a reasonable increase and not my arm and leg. Magic items are just as much as regular items which forces you to sell to other players. This makes me have to tredge around looking at competitive pricing or just winging it just to hopefully get some decent coinage. I then realize that I am now spending most of my time online stuck trying to sell items or trying to do kingdom quests to hopefully get an item to sell again. This leaves no time doing other things in the game that I would like to do. So here are some of my changes. Monsters drop money as well as items. There should be like an ebay sort of store where you can just drop in an item, show its properties, set the price, and go on your merry way. Then come back later to get your money. Also have the npcs give real money to magical items, so that the non rare magical items could be discarded and net you some cash. Lastly, the Golden Hill Adventure should be increased from just 3 to a couple more. I'ved tried for days and have yet to make it to one. There is just not enough to go around.

Arma_Phalanx

Have you notice that there is no other way to get items from production skills you dont have other than to get it off your neighbor? It would be nice to have a npc who's job is to take your items and a lil bit of money and creates those items for you. Production skills should be an advantage but they shouldnt cripple other players who dont have them.

Players should have an escape skill. Like mages have a blink, archers go invisible, clerics have pacify which stops monsters from attacking, and warriors have fear which causes them to run away.

Can i just point out, you are making "suggestions" to a game we basically get for free... i mean, it does need some things, but honestly, did you have to come on here and make post after post of things you think you need to play this free game?

For example, if this was World of Warcraft, or Everquest 2 and you were paying that $15 a month to play, then yes, they better make sure they have everything.

But last i checked, Fiesta is free, has been free, and probably will be free for a long time... so they will get around to adding things when they can.

OK....if it's any help...using stones while in combat....here's a bit of help...."Q" and "E" use HP and SP stones...the use of these letters on your keyboard should NOT deselect the mob you are fighting, just remember there is a cooldown time on them that takes like 5-7 seconds before you can use it again. Clicking on them with your mouse, however, WILL deselect, so far as I've seen. Keep in mind, I have been doing this on Apoline and the new Bijou servers. I don't know if there are client difference on Teva or not.
I am still pretty new to the game, having played for a little over a week.

For complaints/suggestions.....there should be SOMETHING in the game manual (Game Guide) about Skills....what they each do, what is needed for each level, Tier 1, 2, 3 production, etc.
This whole "on-the-job training" thing is getting kinda old.

I DO like that you can ease up lag in cities by using Ctrl-Z to hide surrounding Characters...that is brilliant. But I REALLY think that the KQ Quest givers in each city should be FAR apart from any other merchant/quest giver due to the huge volume of returnees causing MAJOR lag whenever you are talking with Storage Keeper Reina (in Roumen) or just walking/running by headed to Maria (Gate to Sea of Greed). Maybe switch locations with the Guild Manager who is off in the far corner or something.

For trade skills.....You should be able to couple skills together (example: Stone Making and Composition skills should be matched together as ONE skill set....make composition like a sub-skill or something)

The game is very addicting, BUT, it does have a few flaws that need working thru. I have, thusfar, enjoyed my overall experience. Just a little miffed on the LACK of info for the game that requires one to look outside the game for even a HINT of some things. I kinda get a little distracted and if I come across something I haven't seen before (like WHERE the heck, in Forest of Mists, are Bored and Sharp Boars???) in a Quest, I would like a general idea of where and what I am looking for.
Low level income just bites majorly....give better copper rewards for lower level quests, as it is usually extremely difficult for folks under lvl 15 or so to buy their needed skills/weapons/stones as needed when they get the required level to USE them.
And Merchant NPCs should REALLY offer more for certain items (come on....merchants only buy Elrues at 13c a pop? Yet they sell for no less than 270??? Man...that's painful, as you have to dedicate a LOT of time into gathering the needed ingredients for just ONE Elrue...or at least increase the amount monsters drop of the mundane ingredients...like have Mushrooms drop more Soul Dust (LQ) or Tough Meat...what have you...:)

It is especially tough when you start trading with other players and they are gouging everyone huge amounts (I saw one guy trying to get 100c for each Elrue...not gonna happen when just down the road, some other guy is selling them for 30c or 35c) An open economy is great, but Low level players just have to slog and slog thru so much junk sometime.

As for KSing.....try using the Mob Lock system than many other MMO games have adopted. Once a player has 2 or more hits in on a mob, they are the ONLY PC that can fight THAT particular Mob until either the mob dies or the player. They would, of course, work as a group as well....locking onto THAT particular party for the length of the fight, and only other members of the party can hit the mob.

This would also help slow down the spammers who rush to get lvl 6 so they can use /shout function, then go sit in Roumen or Elderine and Spam for hours on end about their Powerleveling site, or Gold selling site or what have you. Actually...there REALLY needs to be ONE GM in each cities of the map, on each Server who does nothing more than wander around the city, finding these spammers and booting them immediately. Any time a spammer is booted 4 or more times in a 24 hour period, THAT particular IP address should then be BANNED for 14 days or something....perhaps that would at least EASE 90% of the spam in the game.
If reports of spammers start coming in from the Zones, send one out there to hunt em down and boot em.....shoouldn't take long, if a location code is included in the report...:)

agree with most thing specially

-Level 20 equip/skill cost way too much considering potion usage cost and money supply at that level

-Empty chest in KQ, I got 7 empty chest out of 9 KQ today in mara/GH

-Obvious mistranslation/type in the scroll production(AIM scroll is called power scroll O_o and shield increase is named like mag def)

-Quest credit/drop in KQ.Party member not having the quest get drop somehow that I cant take not even after waiting 30-1min after it drop. Also Only the group who does the highest dmg get the kill credit which make it hard to get certain boss credit(5 ppl out 15 ppl can get it out of each KQ)

-Getting into gold hill; ok this game KQ had 3 possible game EVERY 2hours compare to 7 for the previous 2 ***?

-Level req for KQ.Level 5 that can join King slime KQ is ridiculous they wont do anything the level should atleast be 10 and Mara should atleast be 20 and gold hill aroundn 25 as monster are RED to anything below these level in these instance which doesnt help the group at all(aside cleric)

so basically u say that because its free its suppose to suck and that we should deal with it instead of trying to make the game entertaining and fun. like wat cryogen said before, this game is in the beta phase so of course theres gonna be a lot of things that could be improved upon. so why just sit back and let the creators figure it out when you can actively participate and let them know what areas need improvement. isnt' it better to voice your opinion so that the creators know what changes need to be done instead of sitting back and hoping that someday they would just get to it?

You have so many great observations - so many I can't remember the ones that pertain to me and the ones that don't! Cryogen... you rock! :D

The one problem I have the worst time with is the Production Skills - I was a lvl 0 or 1 and I select (accidently) the decomp skill - WHAT AM I GONNA DO WITH THAT??? I'm a freakin' archer??? I have to aquire some stone - and what else? - to make this happen, and for what will I use this skill? PLEASE!!! Make these skills changeable TO A POINT. Maybe give us the opportunity to choose four - but only allow us to choose those when we get to a certain level... and maybe say, "Good if you are a mage or cleric..." or "Good if you plan to make scrolls" or "Good if you are going to DIE A LOT... make your own HP & SP!" I don't know what they are until I have selected them so how can I tell what good they are going to do for me?

Sorry - that's my biggest peeve. Also, for those of us who haven't grown up playing MMORPGs, is there SOMEPLACE we n00bs can find to read about what we are playing? I LOVE this game! I enjoy the people I meet, the parties I have fought with, the personalities of the others who have taken sweet time to help me - you are awesome and I thank you! I truly need something, SOMEWHERE, that tells me the basic things I need to know when the helpful people are off questing or doing whatever...

or if I don't want to admit I am clueless :o

I have been around Fiesta for a little over a week, working on two characters - an archer and a mage, both lvl 10/11 - and as much as I love the game I would like to be able to find out what I need to accomplish to become an archer/mage/fighter/cleric so I can give council to others who have problems and need some help.

Keep up the thread, Cryogen. I'm a HUGE FAN! I second and third everything you've said (that I've experienced so far) and I appreciate you putting electrons in order to let GMs know what's what.

Hey, this thread is really great, but it has one thing wrong with it.

It needs to be in the suggestions and Feedback forum.

A GM (or other Outspark Staff) might look into these more if you made a thread in there to link to here...

Other things I feel need to be refreshed here:

1. Secret of Gold Hill 3 quest has no accept button as well. (Was this fixed? I stopped seeing it posted)

2. Just my thought, but it would be nice to know what happens when you max-out fame, as the max says 50,000 (I only have about 500 on my new character, Orbie, on Bijou, but still...)

No. he's saying you get what you pay for. If you think it sucks and you feel you are "dealing with it instead of trying to make the game entertaining and fun." then maybe you should stop playing and go find a new game? a large amount of these are complaints about minor stuff that usually have a fix to them. eg: deselect when you use a stone. hit q, or bind stones to a hotkey and hit a number. problem solved.

you likely get some super intense title, but i dont know how easy it would be to get 50000 fame. by level 30 you have maybe 3000 if you did repeating quests often. and quests slow down and eventually stop around level 40ish.

These are some great complaints here, all valid points and I would love to see some of them fixed/altered for the better. More things to add of my own here (and quite a lot too ^^"):

Chat/Message Box:
I'm rather annoyed at how easily they can be moved unintentionally, and yet I still don't know how to move them intentionally. I click and drag with all my might, and the most I've got was resized them. The lock key is useful, but it is unlocked everytime I relog. Can't it stayed locked? I'm getting frustrated of locking it everytime I log in.

Shift Key:
Shift + Z hides other characters, Shift + Left Click on items separates them, Shift + whatever it does... it's a well-used key, but it only applies to the Left Shift key doesn't it? Can it applied to both? Not important though... now that I know ^^"

Vendors:
There was another game I played that has a separate zone that's entered from town for vendors only. You can ONLY open shop in that area, nowhere else. It might be nice to apply to Fiesta. Of course, it might be laggy as hell as well, but it's something to consider.
And the clicking on vendors as you walk issue, I always hide characters in town but, maybe if you double click on them instead of just one click? Would that help? (I love hiding characters ^^)

Full inventory - no treasure chest!:
Someone mention this problem earlier, and here I'll mention another game where items you get will go into your storage automatically if you're bag is full. Of course, if your storage is also full, then too bad. But better than what we have now.

Translation errors:
Nothing much to say here but, please fix them >< I rather enjoy reading the quests dialogue (at least for the first time), but stuff like "I would like you to destroy 15 slimes||Can you do that for me?" is slightly annoying. Oh, and Luminous Stone = Glowing Stone = Glowing Rock as well. Or all the other typo errors mentioned already.
I suggest making a post here for players to point out all these errors.

Party looting:
Is it possible that whenever a monster drop an item or two, it is distributed to ALL party members (most importantly the quest items)? It's done in another game I've played (sounds like I play a lot but I really don't...), and it's great.

Fames - what it should be used for:
Create guild- a most common use for it in most games I think. After all, a good guild leader should be a famous one as well, right? Since guilds can be created by lvl20, make the required fame for someone around that level should achieved already. But not spent... if possible.
Accept quests- make some quests requiring certain level of fames. Higher level quests, higher demand of fames.

Kingdom Quest:
No ones what to do about it, but people who can't get in hates it, and people who can get in easily abused it (unnecessary rushing, zero team work, etc. Not saying EVERYone, but a lot of people do.) So... I'm not asking for a miracle to fix it automatically, but can we get a confirmation that something's being done about it?

KSing:
Already mentioned, but as a pure END cleric I must say, it's heart-breaking to see the monster you spent one minute attacking stolen by a nearby player >< Being polite, I just walk away, but in my heart, I'm bleeding... (and cursing.)

Quests:
An indication that tells us at what level you can no longer accept this quest. Just a simple line saying "Level: 2-7" would be great.

No. he's saying you get what you pay for.

Well the point is that I like the game and thats why I would like these fixes to be made so that the game would be more enjoyable. If I didnt then I wouldnt have bothered to even post on this forum in the first place. You forget that because people make suggestions, you think they hate the game when in fact there are a lot of aspects that are WoW quality. KQs, when you get in and have a decent team are great. I like the unique cell shaded graphics. Glowing magical items look cool. I could go on and on. But as a developer what would I rather hear? How my game kicks *** or how I can improve it so that even more people would come to enjoy it.

Its great that you see these complaints as minor, but when people dont know its a big issue. Sure hp stones would not deselect off your opponent if you hotkey it, which ty for the tip btw, but how many people do you know would think thats the first thing to do. I would rather instead of you saying that its a minor nuisance and give just one example, and instead go about giving us answers to the rest of our minor issues. I find that more productive.

Now back to the subject at hand. I was in eldrine talking to guard nus about a quest to take on 25 marlone's megaton, which at my current lv, can chew me up and spit me out all by their lonesome. So I decided to scroll down to the reward to see if its worth it to quest them right now and then I see that the reward given was 200exp, 100c, 3fame, and a t1 hp potion. I guess megatons are just megaduds...

Harmony_Rayne - decomp does come in handy in the later levels. I have used it a lot to break down scroll, potion and elrue materials. Also, you have the option of making four characters - between your characters you can use all 5 skills. You can trade materials between them with your storage box.

Devina - the loot CAN be allocated between all party members. When you join a party, ask the leader to change to sequential allocation. They can do this by right clicking their character's circle at the top of their screen and clicking where it says "free allocation". A list will appear asking if they want free or sequential allocation.

Devina - I'm not quite sure what you mean with the fame? Make it only cost fame to own a guild ... but don't take the fame away? Then ANYONE could own a guild. I think the guild system is fine the way it is, personally.

I DEFINITELY agree with everyone on the KSing issue. KSing at the beginning levels in particular is absolutely horrible.

Thanks to everyone that has read this & added their own input.

Just a reminder for a few of you, this game is in Beta stages, we are Beta testers, Outspark is a company, all companys want to make money for the services they provide. Our job as Beta testers is to test this game out & offer feedback on bugs, and suggestions to improve the game. If the game is better, outspark has happier players & hopefully happier players stay longer & spend more money. Players win, Outspark wins, everyone wins.

On with the show:

Robo A: There appears to be some belief that Robo A dosn't win, or is bugged, or something. Half the time I've been in Robo A. I have never lost a Robo yet so I figure there isn't a bug with it, it's just superstition caused by some sucky players earlier on (don't bother correcting me unless it actually IS a bug & you want to report it).

I missed the other Robo's today, and joined Robo A. It didn't fill up. We get the notice "Robo A is recruiting, Robo B is recruiting, etc. A continued notice every min or 2 for KQ's that didn't fill would be good. After recruit time people just don't know there are still spaces available unless they look. We need to advertise a bit.

The KQ auto started at the end of recruit time with 5 of us. What are 5 people supposed to do in Robo? well I guess I've lost a Robo now, lol. I don't mind that it auto started without enough people, if we had been near full we could have done it, I just feel it needs the advertising more often than the initial recruiting message, give it a better chance to fill.

The game would really benefit if at least some of these ideas were implemented...

small things detract from game-enjoyment but in concerto, even lead to some quitting...
