This seams to be the best place to put this, and I can't think of any other place, so here goes.
The money system in Fiesta is extremely messed up. The prices are fair, and work well at first, but then once you reach level 20, everything is WAY over priced, and you have to spend hours, and hours, just getting the money for one item. It's highly frustraiting to me, and I just wanted to see if anyone else noticed this. It's really ruining the game for me, because it's far too hard to buy the new equipment once I'm past level 20.
So, yeah. It's getting to the point where I don't want to continue playing the game, because every thing's too expensive to try and spend the time just trying to get the new item. Quests give you a fair amount of money, sometimes, other times, the quests are very unbalanced. You do all this work, and get this small reward.
Sometimes I don't see the point in trying to get past level 20, which gets rid of the point of even playing the game. So, I'm going to see how things go from here, but if it gets too annoying, I'm just ganna quit.

If your spelling is any indication of your insult level then its pretty mediocre. Want a dictionary and a spell checker to help your slaughter of the English language?
Maybe follow up with a reply of "your mom" or something?

If im quiet honest, I agree with everyone.
Quit the insults, Especially if you can't hand them out..with effect.
Also i agree on the money issue.

Uhm... well I sorta have to agree/dis-agree.
The prices are a bit insane in the upper levels, as well as skills (god damn 10s+ per) but making money is very easy.
As a 3x cleric with full 30 armor/weapon/shield and a pet -- I have 101s sitting in my inventory currently. Along with 300~ SP pots and 100~ HP pots. I also have a ton of Vital/Mental/Defense/Power/Evade/Speed scrolls.
Although if I estimate right, at level 40, I will have roughly 30s left. Still, I don't see how people don't have the cash? Do you not pick up drops or something? Because I hardly ever even set up shop unless I am buying stuff...
And I don't consider myself to poor. I never plus anything either, since you don't need it and it is a waste. Also, don't buy any rings; let them come to you through drops. After KQs, quests, and grinding, you should have enough upgrade mats and items at level 30 for a ton of silver. (easily 60+)
I feel bad for you and the many others who seem to have a money problem... but it isn't that all hard to make it. And I am extremely unlucky. But grinding in certain areas yields a hefty amount of cash via NPC'd materials...

Ever played Final Fansty online? You start with 50 gil and the drops are not as frequent as this game. After lvl 10 you cant even solo anymore so to make it to lvl 20 in this game and have as many drops as you have consider yourself fortunate. By the way i had a lvl 72 rng, arch in FF and one of my bows was 4 mil. Try and come up with that loot? Its not that bad...

I agree with the unfair pricing after lvl 20. However it does not affect all classes equally. Clerics (yes I do have one) are relatively unaffected since they can easily party and if they are willing to play support (damn near a requirement for KQ) can level as back line characters requiring no upgrading, nor current armor/weapon. This allows them to save their money, npc more items and frankly with the quest for free revive and good use of empowering don 't even really need the higher lvl skills. The only expense they might have is sp pots, and with a partial spr build not even necessary.
On the other end of the spectrum are fighters (I also have one, however not lvl 20 yet). There is a HUGE increase in damage from a weap +3-+6, making it pretty much a requirement. They also have no choice but to get and upgrade armor for the improved defense, and they will need hp pots for when soloing/no cleric, as well as a good supply of scrolls for tanking during the KQ. This means my fighter is consistently broke from getting what he needs to fight more effectively. Look at the effective tanks, they all have high upgrades, and scrolls as well as a good supply of potions for emergencies.
Mages also, being completely skill dependent, and the damage upgrade from +6 weapons is almost a requirement are quite expensive. While they might not need the newest armor if played properly, they spend more on skills than anyone.
(I have not played an archer so I cannot speak for them, maybe someone who has could add their position)

I learned long ago in games to not spend money unless I absolutely had to. I buy stones, but all the rest of my money comes from drops that I sell to npcs (the yellow/green mats), excess items from KQs that I no longer need and sell to other players at what I think are below market prices, and selling items I make. I have 4 characters that cover all the production skills. I focus one on stone production, one on scroll production and one on potions so I can move them all up to the next level of production. I don't have alot of money, but I have enough for my characters to continue to solo. I was about to dump my mage until she got a +6 wand in a KQ. My weaker characters are the most expensive. The stronger they get, the less I have to spend on them. My biggest problem is that I have to go mining and I am beyond bored with that, but I really need the copper ores. I do a pretty even balance of soloing, kqs, and quests. I agree, most of the quests do not pay enough for the amount of work going in them, but even a bit helps and some give items, which also helps. Just be patient, we can't get rich as fast as we can level, but by careful buying, selling and using, we can slowly gain some money.

I always seem to go broke buying potions & stones cost me almost 1.5S to fill up my stones HP only -_- W8 till u get to uragra I got a scroll & went there (lovely place nice music too) I was like whoa this is what I have to look forward to XD very high I mean high.

I love you people who keep telling us how urga is so much silver ... You just add to the point in favor the the peprson who created the post
TastyTapioca
10-01-2007, 03:21 PM
You must also realize that the drops in Uruga are higher priced as well.
The poster about Uruga also failed to mention the quest factor for money. Most quests (if they aren't broken) after 35+ are anything from 1.5-4 silver to complete. Oh heaven forbid someone has to kill a bunch of spawns in Goblin Camp where the exp is less than Uruga or CP but at least they get nice experience rewards AND money (just like a KQ...).

160 per skill still seems expesive to me even if yout getting that kinda cash per .. game econemy is very low .. gona make gold sellers happy!

10-01-2007, 03:34 PM
Again, barely doing anything and selling the occasional bundle of drops I get from Uruga, I am still anything between 50-100s per level easy. That's not busting my butt or going out of my way. That's just a few quests (we only get 2-3 per level after 40 so far), some reselling of dropped items and selling off my old armor/weapons.
Mid-level ranges (20-32) tend to suffer a little but if you think ahead and plan, you can get by without much grief.

Yeah. It's annoying because a fighter has like 20 silver worth of stuff as soon as you reach 20. Ether raise the amount of drops or raise the price they sell for.

i dont know how you managed to do this but i think it is really a problem the prices are that high at higher lvls. If you need to buy armor/skills/weps and rings and stuff, you will need to have like 50s, and that is insane.
and I DO pick up all my drops and i DO sell them and I DONT have that much money
my oppinion: it is really frustrating:mad:

I just started the game a few days ago...The way I see it is that you got to put in the time to get the good gears. If it is too easy then everyone would have it, then what is the point of REAR GEARS?? right?? Put in the time and grind and grind....Good luck to all !!!

I managed it simply by making them...
Sell all your other drops but Magic Crystals (low quality), Spirit's Fruit (low quality), and Meats... you will have a crapload of potions in no time. Scrolls are a bit more difficult but at level 15 if you farm Ratmen, you really stock up on those SBLs. Tough Leather stuff is hardly a problem, because I have 900~ sitting on my MatHolder character.
Also, NEVER make another character if you are hard pressed for money. I have other characters only to hold my crap. (Though I did start a mage last night, who made me a good 200 scrolls worth of mats :P)
Next, go to Moonlights Tomb (mid level area) and solo stuff. You can get about 6-10s a run there before your inventory fills up and you will probably get a load of experience by then too, doing quests while you're at it.
This is a level 25~30 area and that is nothing like higher levels, therefore, mid-game is not broken. If I can effectively farm that spot, so can you.
Give it a shot... and remember... you don't need to buy every item or plus anything to play.

No u don't have to buy everything but to survive it helps to get ur new armor. But it isn't that money is an issue. IT is that it changes from only needing 100 copper for armor to 4 silver. Its just the transition that is hard. And i do everything u said minus the moonlight tomb(i am lvl 24) and i am broke. And the 900 of certain items i think is a bit unlikely cuz when u get to a certain lvl items won't drop on certain monsters.

well i never have enough money however who does i always get what i need and then work for the rest in one hour i was able to get enough money to get a decent sword and go and fight for decent drops (hint go to luminous stone for drops such as fruits and leathers) they make decent money plus if you did your skills right you can make your vit scrolls and potions so you never have to buy them however the only other thing is its all about work pick shrooms or mine copper its worth the work trust me

I saved my Torn Leathers from level 1 and at level 34 I had 981. Today I gave them all to a close friend so he could work on his scroll skills. That was a rare case, which wasn't the best argument, but proves you can get that many.
Yes, I agree, the transition of mere copper to high silver is a bit rough. Especially on newer players... but finding deals in player shops isn't to hard. I have to stay with my stance though; money is not an issue in my opinion.
And when you get a certain level, the next set of monsters always drops something more or better. Fire Mushrooms (magic crystals), then Greenkings, then Kebings... then it moves onto tier 2 materials.
Also, as a shameless plug, if you are on Apoline, consider joining my contest if you need money. Take a glance at my prizes...

Finally...a master at earning money.... i did almost the same way as u..just that i only make sp pots instead of hp and i only sell stone mats and some others instead of everything...and MT is not only until lvl 30..till now i lvl 36 still stayed there for questing =)
