Tonight the Secret of the Solstice servers will be undergoing routine scheduled maintenance beginning at 10:00pm PST. The maintenance will last for approximately 2 hours.

Players will be unable to log in to Secret of the Solstice during this time.
mmm.... what happened with the added content update every 2 weeks? am I missing something?

From experience and all, I totally have lots of doubts, yet I have high hopes for it. I mean, have you seen the GMs stating these "big" updates, when rather it turned out to be rountine maint. or a small update? I know you guys work hard, and I know you guys don't judge what contents should be placed into the game, but this is getting ridiculous.

But I don't want "lies" to be told by us and give us high hopes. We want the truths and nothing else. If you say there will be a "big" update this month, stick with it. Instead, it comes out like 20 months later, or none at all. I'm only pointing at those who determine content and tell them to the GMs, since clearly the GMs don't determine content, but rather fight for them. However, we don't want lies ruining our hopes. We want to know content that's 100% (or close) coming and the exact dates. But basically you're just saying that "this month" or "soon." There were many cases like this:

What ever happened to the so-called "month of lots of updates" (forgot which month it was stated x-x)? Instead, it was mainly rountine maintenances or tiny updates. What ever happened to the Hot Springs Maps back in the summer? We had excellent updates here and there, but it only appears like every 2 months. [/rant]

Well, back on topic. I think the best present the publishers can give is that one huge update that Cretz mentioned before he left. So I have high hopes for it this month. And if they fail to do that, they just made almost everyone's holiday a disappointing one.

What disappointed me is that they'd make a miserable quest that took a lot of my time to complete, just to get a lousy limited pet. Why can't we have permanent items in this game? Why do we have to stay with monotony, and free players are restricted to their normal gears, a sheep helm, and 2 noses for customization? Why don't we have quests that give items like from the cash shop, except they are permanent, AND tradeable? Honestly outspark, this is just pathetic.

Can someone please find the thread saying that there was going to be a huge update this month? I'm sure I read it. I'm not surprised either that they're not doing it, but I'm tired of them saying they never said it to begin with, when everyone knows they did. I don't think it was JungleCurry who said it, it might have been Cretz before he left. Regardless, unless I'm totally losing my mind -- "The plan all along was to have a content patch early next year" is completely false, unless their real "plan" has always differed from the "plan" they give us, in which case they're just deceiving us.

Maybe it was miscommunication, but since everyone has been talking about it for several weeks now, they've had ample time to fix that miscommunication. Since my dissapointment couldn't get much lower with the game anyway, it's not all that big a deal. Maybe I'll just stop spending SC entirely untill they release something, instead of just cutting back by 80% like I have the last couple of months.

I wasn't able to play the last several days due to Christmas plans, and I found I haven't missed playing at all. The only thing I've missed is spending time with my friends in game, and looking forward to the update.

And for all of you who like to flame people who state how they're dissatisfied with the game, yes, we do have a right to keep Outspark accountable.

I agree, we keep hearing we will show you previews and previews of what will never come to be. How long ago did we see the epic wings? How long ago did you tease us with maps? Last classes? If all you are going to do is tease us but never deliver don't get our hopes up and don't expect us to spend money for these events if YOU can't deliver.

The big update was mentioned by Cretz and it wasnt a forum mention it was in game. The thing was said "Major game releases in December". They will deliver but not the time frame that was mentioned.

I cant say i wasnt expecting a delay with this "Big" update. But if its as "big" as they're making it out to be then a lot of things will need experimenting and fixing bugs and stuff which can delay it for a few weeks.

Well i just hope Ranger and Holy Avenger is part of this "Big" update and some other stuff we've wanted.

Lately they have been gathering feedback about our skills, and i remember Murdock made a bunch of 3rd class characters to test out their skills and stats, maybe he noticed the crappy exp too *fingers crossed*

No Offense catry but JungleCurry did mention in previous threads that anything one GM was working on they all shared the same info. So unless some one is lieing or playing make believe at will any update information relayed to us should be taken at face value unless we are going to get more excuses. JungleCurry I appreciate the newest (probably not the last) change of content date switches. But unfortunatley myself and most others who have been in game as long as we have do not hold them to face value. I will keep what little bit of hope up that I have left to see some improvements on this game.
