It occurs to me, as i read threads most days, and even annoy people with my responses when i'm bored, cause it takes so long to decomp and make scrolls and such...
Why is it, that we get 200 threads about "please add a new server" when really, they've not looked into why it's not really needed and just wanna complain. And I'm sure I'll never get tired of the "ligh" comment, woah-betide anything is slightly offlined in a very unimportant part of the game.
Then I see more threads complaining about how so many people are leaving the game cause it sucks... by the same person sometimes. Which is it people?
Now, let's all complain about the abyss, and how the lvls are set, and how they are now set up how they were always supposed to be, with the ability to kill (for rewards), or be killed (for exp loss). If you don't want to die by another player, stay out, it's not like there's nowhere else to get exp from monster kills (let's see you complain that they kill you too). One person complains, our friendly Saphar explained the situation, but yet, we see a new thread about the subject every single day? Why does everyone need to start a new thread? Do they feel big starting their own (I know I do, with this thread :> ).
Now, we must complain about the maintenance. Because, you know, it's such a suprise that it happens every single week at exactly the same time, and last the same length of time. Yet, people still DO act suprised about it. And the stupid "wow, it takes three hours to add 1 SC item", comments are even more annoying (if you can believe that). No, it takes three hours to do the weekly maintenance, it takes 8 seconds for the patch to be ready, which if you try to connect straight away you'd know. Maintenance has nothing to do with the weekly patch, they have to sit down with notepads and copy down everyone's name and character details, and write down how much money everyone has, and what they have in storage, and who all their friends are. Takes a while to write all that down you know, and then verify it, so that when the server explodes for no good reason, we can still play with dice!! (seriously, how can people even pretend not to know about maintenance and how long it takes? - noobs, i accept, but i see lv80+ asking all the time).
Now, i'm done venting, and even though i've added a poll, cause well, i'm that bored, i'd be interested in quality discussion on stuff, and maybe you can all talk each other into NOT making another 'we need a new server' thread, or a 'everyone is quitting, yet more ppl play' thread, or even a 'the abyss sucks and i don't understand how to play the game without going in there' thread.
I miss happy threads, there are so few of them these days, it's all complain complain complain (ironic that you're reading this thread huh).
However, if it turns into a flaming war, or just an excuse to make fun of people, or just continue to complain about things that were already anwered earlier in the thread, i'll ask the staff to close the thread (which they are welcome to do at any time they feel it's a useless one - including right now)!!
