Many peoples on screen = lagg

When there is many people on my screen i lagg, why?
And yes, i think i meet the recomended requierments.

Info about my comp:

OS: Windows XP
CPU:Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.06GHz
RAM: 1022mb
HD SPACE: 250gb
Graphics card: RADEON X600 Series (ATI)
DirectX: DirectX 9.0c
Connection speed: More than enough

Do Shift+Z and itll take away all players/shops around you, should reduce lag too.

LOL.. oh god.. I know I shouldn't be laughing but.. LOL.. oh god. :D

Ok.. laughing aside, I'm sorry. What this lag means is your computer is trying to take all the packet data from the numerous people on screen and place it on your computer. Anyone and everyone suffers this situation when there are numerous people on screen, it won't be just you. The best way to deal with this would be to restrict names, tone down the overall graphics on your settings, and so on.
