Teased about, still waiting? :O

So I occurred to me that Outspark has been accused again and again of breaking promises...but then it occurred to me, seeing as we've had so many administrative changes maybe some "promises" got lost in the transition o.o;; So to clarify for both players and Outspark alike, here are some things we were "teased" with that have more or less vanished in thin air over the year, issues that have come back again and again without ever being really answered.

- Moon Bear Pet - we've been shown again and again that such a pet exists and that a quest was being made to obtain it. However, after half year there has been no word at all about this...

- Epic Wings Quest - this has become a much-desired item amongst all players who see the GMs sporting them. But like the Moon Bear nothing has been said about them in a while.

- Leveling Curve "Fix" - this was announced way back in February, when the first of a set of "Leveling Curve Balances" made it easier to get to level 30. Supposedly these fixes would focus on 30 levels at a time. However, since the first one there has been no word on any subsequent ones.

- East Eir - These maps were revealed to players as a teaser for an event back in Spring... Other maps that've been revealed as already existing but never opened for months include the Ice Dungeon and a variety of unnamed maps.

- Magic Mask - Ever since the release of the "Horror Mask" sparkcash item, magic users have asked for a similar mask that raises magic attack.

- Unreleased sparkcash items - Several highly desirable items from the sparkcash store were given as event prize teasers over the last few months. While some have been released, some of the more desirable ones, such as the Cat Bell and Bear Helmet, haven't been seen in a while.

- Pet Stats/Fusion - when the advanced pets were released, it was promised that they would in the future help in some way. Slime Beans were released supposedly as a teaser. However, more than 8 months later there is still no word on what is going to happen with pets.

- MEN/Animation Speed/Aspd fix - This was originally brought up as a complaint in January when the effectiveness of the MEN skill was severely nerfed by "animation fixes." The complaints about this were never really addressed aside from that they would be "looked into" and still remain unaddressed...

- Elemental alignments - It has been complained about many times that skills don't have any elemental alignments making them more/less effective against certain monsters (something that would greatly benefit the two magic-casting classes). Though it was said these would be discussed, months have gone by with no word about them.

- Permanent SC items and gifting - A poll was actually made about this a while back in which players indicated they would love these two options. While gifting has been hinted as being in test run with Fiesta, there have been no word whatsoever about Permanent items outside of Lucky Balls and being able to exchange duplicates/unwanted perms.

Hopefully this brings up some of the older-yet-still-open issues that players would like answered :D If there's something I'm forgetting feel free to add on, and if someone from Outspark would please take a few seconds to address some of these it would be greatly appreciated :D

Well the otherday a gm was telling us not to compare this games content with xenepic's amount of content because in xenepic the average user spends $40 a month on the game, compared with $?? that paying customers spend here, he/she also reminded us that this is a 'free to play' game so we should be grateful with what we got.

I got kinda angry when that was said, because im willing to bet that if nobody bought sc for use in sos then the game would close within a month or 2. also they said they are bringing out anohter server soon, so they can't be doing too badly from it.

Personally i would like to see the way this game is run changed. give us a permium content option, where we pay like 7000 sc a month, and we get extra maps, more non grinding related content, possibly better xp and premium events.
this would give outspark more revenue and keep the paying customers happy.

Thanks cat for the great thread :D. I've been thinking about making an accountability thread for some time now, since the GM's are constantly saying things are going to be released, but they never are. I think it would help if people started posting screenies of GM's saying these things will be added, so that we have an actual record that they've been promised. Also, links to any threads or posts they've made on these issues would be great too.

As for not comparing SotS to Xenepic because they spend more...Huh? They release a great product with Xenepic that people want to spend lots of money on, and we're not supposed to compare it because we don't want to spend the money on a lesser product? What kind of sense does that make? If this game was half what Xenepic was gameplay wise, they wouldn't have to worry about people spending money on it. You create a great product in order to get money, not the other way around. Saying you'll only make a great product once more people start spending money on the crappier version is not only plain silly, but is a horrible business practice. I've just lost a whole lot more respect for Outspark.

As for the average ammount people spend on SotS being considerably less than Xenepic, I'd have to see hard proof to believe that. I know way too many people who spend 100+ dollars a month playing this game. To the best of my knowledge, I only have 2 dedicated non-sparkcash user friends who play regularly. The rest quit.

I don't see how changing this game to P2P will make that much more updates come out. I'm pretty sure money isn't the problem. There's plenty of income coming in. If anything, i believe it will drive more people away from the game. As many people already complain about how this game is 'pay to play' oriented, and you can't have fun without sparkcash. That'll just be the last nail in the coffin for them.

I was wondering about that just the other day. I was looking at some old screens of that summer SC party event and I suddenly remembered it. No one else seemed to recall anything about it so I thought I was the only one who did, haha.

Sowwy kity this is off topic but I just want to show how Outspark FAIL at keeping promise lol
kk my solstice pet quest got a bug, my incubator disappeared. This is not uncommon at all, consider many people had it. I know Dipple had it, but he just restart the quest. I can't rly do that since I'm not a gazillionare like other people lol.
Sooo I talked to Rider, he said he will look into it....a few weeks passed. nothing, no reply whatsoever. I contacted dylan (she's awesome btw, she helped me a lot :D just that Outspark doesn't wanna do anything). She tried to contact rider and ask about it, rider pmed me in forum, but then he just stopped and nothing happen either.
Sooo I just ignored the problem and gave up on rider. A few month later they change the contact system and now you have to email outsparkhelp for those kind of thing. So I sent them an email and waited for reply. It took them almost 2 weeks just to tell me that they accepted to give me a new incubator and a Gm is going to give me it.
Well everything seem pretty smooth at that point, until Cretz pmed me and talked to me about it. He said he couldn't give me a new incubator because according to the rules, he isn't permited to do those kind of thing. (Main point it, didn't the guy from Outsparkhelp talk to Cretz before he contact me? he already agreed to give me a new incubator) So in the end Cretz tried to use the GM tool to give me a new incubator, that obviously didn't work cause of some bug. SO that mean it's not my fault, but it's a BUG from the game. Cretz told me to give him time to work it out. Outspark help also sent me an email said that they were working on it.
That was over a month ago ._.; Cretz quitted being a GM, Outspark help didn't email me anymore and it's like my problem disappear into thin air. This PROBLEM happened to me over 6 MONTHS AGO. I contacted GM, I contacted Outspark help and they HAVE promised me that I will get a new incubator. And now ONCE AGAIN it's like I'm back at the starting point. I wouldn't mind if this was my fault, like I sold the incubator or something. BUT this is a BUG from the game.
Totally and overwhelming disappointing ._. I can't put into work how bad outspark customer service is. It's just awful

Yes this game is free to play. But honestly without SC item this game is not that fun at all. Not that i'm complaining, I understand they have to make some kind of income.
But you know what, when I buy sc, when I spend my hard earned money into something, I expect at least some kind of value out of it. Outspark promised us too many thing and simply doesn't delivered. WHY do you make those promise in the first place?
Huff! I'm still going, buddy. Anyway we poured money into this game, and you use that money to develop new game such as ProPow, Blackshot and Wind Slayer. kk you wanna bring variety into the mix. OR is that an excuse?
Let me express how I think about this. With 4 games going on at once, how is Outspark expecting to bring satisfied content to any of them?
Look, they failed at sos, they put blackshot on hold, ProPow, I don't even see any improvement. And now they put out Windslayer? O.o what kind of marketing strategy is this?
People paid money to get what they expected.
1) We spent more money than the Jan. You said we spend less than them? that's just humiliating.
2) Even so, this game is over 1 year old. And its content is well, very poorly if I have to say so. The content is already there in Xenepic. I honestly don't see why it takes so long to transfer. My opinion: they spend more time putting up new game to attract more customer than to improve what they have. This DOES give them more money, but at the same time dramatically put a stomp on their reputation. IF SOS is heard through out the internet as a bad game, how are they gonna convince people that other game gonna be any better? Blackshot and ProPow is heading in the same direction as sos, and I really feel sowwy for this. All these game have so much potential, but Outspark is using them to "milk" profit rather than putting out good game.

does anyone know theses GMs or people who work on the game in real life? is there and way that you could possibly know exactly how hard they are working on your beloved games? maybe they are trying the best they can and people should just continue to wait and see what comes. i am sure the management is doing the very best they can, even if it takes a long time time to do so

I am sorry but I have to comment on the one above me. How are they wasting your time and money? They don't MAKE you pay and they don't MAKE you play. YOU are wasting your time and money. ;)

Things are coming and yes they are not just letting it all out for everyone to know because times do get changed and things do get put on the back burner. So if they told you something specific oh the horror and the complaints they would face when that didnt come to be a reality. I am still holding out hope for SotS... Why you ask?? Because I invested a full year and more into this game and I want to see where it goes. I don't sit there and grind grind grind so I can come on here and complain about how boring it is. Do something else with your time in the game if your bored with grinding. Try going to pvp and checking out the craziness that ensues there daily. I have a blast in pvp. Try meeting new people in the community and making new friends.

Yea I know your all tired of waiting for things but all you can do is wait. Keep the complaining up and we risk losing yet another GM or worse they can disappear all together and you will have a game with people who don't even attempt to have contact with you at all. I for one do not want that.

There is lack of communication between devs and os, this game fails starting from that point. The fact that people need to buy sc at some point to play the game without investing hardcore time on it becomes fail number two. Fail number three would be that people would need to wait long years so that this games gets well developed while there are other games leaping on the traffic.

The only people who will enjoy this game are the casual gamers like myself.

It is true that outspark cannot be blamed, most definitely.

You have to realize that due to your status as a Community Leader, people will look up to you. Part of your job is to lead afterall.
