Are Clerics the "ultimate" class?

I've heard it said that Clerics have an unfair advantage over the other classes, that they're basically a Fighter and a classic Cleric (pretty much solely a healer, physically weak, you know the drill) thrown together and that makes them like the ultimate class. And I've seen Clerics (rather selfishly, IMO, mind you) hold onto an aggro in a boss battle while allowing their own Fighters and Mages and Arches to die so it's not like it's undoable.

Do you think this mixture of fighting and healing makes the class system somewhat unbalanced? I mean, when I got a Cleric, I fully believed I'd be going almost full on INT and SPR and then I had people telling me to do full STR or full END or even half and half (which I've heard, multiple times now, is bad). Is that...at least a little strange considering what Clerics usually are? And if so, do you think it's a bad or good switch?

clerics are good in their own way

lowest damage out put
second highest def, hp, and i think sp
can heal themselfs
can buff

but by all means they do not have an unfair advanyage over the other classes

dont put points into int, clerics have no magic based attacks or skills atm. they are pretty powerful in the lower lvls, but in the end, clerics do the least dmg output out of all the classes, since they only get 2 attack skills even at lvl 89. so no, they are not the ultimate class. they are the best in support and survivability however.

Fighters-Skin and Bone
Clerics-Cells-Why?-If you were to bleed then platlets, cells which stop bleeding help create a scab to stop it. If there was an infection, white blood cells to fight it off. Red blood cells, which transport oxygen to the rest of the body and keep it going and skin cells to rejuvinate the skin, and alot more.

Mages-Muscles-Powerful yet bare muscle is VERY hurtful and sensitive/
Archers-Ok, wow this was kinda hard, but, I came up with the brain, the controller, it controls movment and senses and other things. But I just stck with funny bone, because of the way they die, spin and then land about a meter away where they were saposed to die lol.

If Clerics have like 4-5 offensive skill to spam and one of them have effects like Devastate or other AoE,then you can call Clerics as 'ultimate'.

But I like the way my Cleric is.

I agree. The only advantage that clerics have is that they can heal themselves, and "invincibility" enables you to deal enough damage to a strong enemy (provided, there aren't others attacking you simultaneously) so that you can survive if you are soloing. I'm hoping that once I can HP/SP-buff myself that leveling up to 47 will be worth it.

So far, I don't have too many beefs about being a cleric, but there's NO way that they have any sort of "unfair" abilities over anybody else. They have their faults and good points like anybody else.

...no...fighters are sharks...there are different types of sarks just like there are different fighters. Not all sharks are Great Whites, Bull Sharks or Tiger Sharks...there are a number of Nurse and Cigar Sharks out there

Point taken,but most of the Fighters I've partied with are bloodthirsty Devastate-happy axe-users. And we all know how END type fighter has decreased dramatically in number.

On a side note,if Bleed is fixed,would the effect stack with Archers' bleeding DoT? Or would them just overwrite each other.

The way clerics are, without a damage aoe, with broken abilities Trip/Bleed, and no type of "mock" skill, we are definately NOT ultimate or overpowered.

Hmm, yea but it wold only work with your mates beside you, the level 60 one aswell has a very good aggro pull.

i guess there is no overpowered class in game all classes are equal strong like:

clerics can heal and buff
fighters can stun and reduce the stats and attackspeed
archers have dot and the highest evasion
mages can fear and reduce the travel speed

and each of it can kill you (or be the reason) in pvp and yes it's true heal can be the reason why you die in pvp, if you fight a cleric with an fighter (it can be equal lvl) and you can't kill him you lost because you will use up your whole stones and the cleric has just 2 heal, clerics can own each class but also each class can own clercs it's just about the player who plays thats what i think^^

PvP balance is out balanced though.

The unbelievable might and damage a DD fighter does is amazing, I've never tasted the power before, I went on my brothers fighter file, got to FBZ1 and...it was like heaven. You controll everything, I...it was amazing, I felt the power. And as a result how out balanced a fighter is yet how addicting it is to kill someone with your super damage!

Cleric..ehh pvp is alright but it takes forever and I die sometimes when a fighter stun and spams

Archers, wow...unless you've got SC your dead, sereously. A mage is easy, clerics are way off from easy and fighters are stun and spam monsters that kill you in seconds.

Mages are by far pretty easy in pvp, keep them away from you well and its all good. I would usualy kill them before they get to me.

I didn't say I was going to, I merely said that that's what I had anticipated doing only to find out that I was wrong. I think where this person was coming from is that, in other games, Clerics always seem to be largely unable to fight which I think makes them severely underpowered if anything so it's not like they were "balanced" then either. I mean, how do you solo if you're that weak? That's not fair and, honestly, I really like Clerics in Fiesta, I think they're awesome and have had a blast using mine for the short amount of time I've had her although sometimes, following lower levels around in a KQ can get nervewracking. :D

I agree. They're excellent to have around and in a party but not they not the Ultimate. They are hard to kill in PvP, but that's about it. They have drawbacks, but only a few. I dig them.

Well, what sort of build is your cleric? If it's high in attack, you probably don't have much on END which might be why.

lol i hate it even more if ppl do that in a guild war i mean you say guys 1 on 1 pls and all they say stop running, and if you're a fighter wich can use dev then do as they wish i had many fights against mor then 3 ppl at the time and they we're on my lvl and since i'm pure str i have 2 run the funny thing is that they follow in a line and thats not really smart i stun them all and kill 1 of them till they are stunned then i run again and they follow again and i killed all of them like that, and i'm sorry for saying that but there are many stupid ppl out there playing fiesta, a guild war is about strategy not the stronger guild wins the better strategy wins always and i know what i'm talking about lol^^

Nah clerics aren't the ultimate class. They don't have an unfair advantage from other classes either. They don't have that much physical attacks. They only have bash, bleed and trip. They don't have any physical aoe moves either.

To be honest. I think we are the worst class for offensive strategies. We were created to help others. i bet 80% of our skills are for others and not ourselves (allthough every skill we have we can use on ourselves). We only have 2 attacks unless you switch weapons anyways.At least till Lv.9x when we get aoe ^^.

Godnesses? You mean goddesses? If so, no, that's not what I meant. People like to talk about balance within games and such but I don't fully believe you can have complete balance and each game seems to, inadvertently or not, overpower a class at least by a little bit somehow. Someone suggested that Clerics were that class in Fiesta and we didn't know a whole lot about the later levels and I must say, after reading over this thread, it would appear as though they are far from being the most powerful, although they're still cool as heck. :D

It's not like we can't solo, I have and I enjoy it. Clerics may have to heal during battle but it's no different from having to use a stone or pot. And I've seen Clerics hold onto an aggo during a boss battle and rock the entire time. So I guess I don't share the opinion that they're weak. Weaker than others but not weak, IMO.

all class is balanced becaso as you know we all have strenths and weakness
if you think about it thought the higher the lvl u are the more moves and power up s u get so the ppls who think cleric are overpowered are probably ppls who have bad builds or they don't spam clerics
like me i am archer and i am lvl 64 and i can kill a lvl 68 fighter +9 axe with teir1 aim scroll and i donthave a +9 wannna kno why
casue i can dot him an dkite him a;so ihave huh dex i can get 628 evasion with just +23 to dex
