i've recently become a lvl.40 cleric and purchased the lvl.40 skill bleed.
an absolute waste of money...
bash on a mob does 300-360 dmg.
bleed does 140.....
norm. attack does 100...
what the....?
cooldown time is longer...sp cost is higher....less damage...is there Anything good about bleed?

is it some sort of dot or debuff/buff effect as well?

The skill just sucks. No need to get it - it obviously needs some testing and tweaking to be on par with Bash at that level. Everyone has told me to just not get either of the 40 skills since they both are garbage.

even some of the lv20 skills suck, like regen, i know people use it, but in a mob its pointless for the most part since it doesnt give enough hp fast enough to make it worthwile to use. no way it can compete with the heal skill, specially if its used in conjunction with invincible. at least thats my opinion...

Yeah.. Trip and Bleed at level 1 give roughly 100+ additional damage (without empower).. What's up with that?! Will clerics ever get good offensive skills besides Bash?? (rhetorical question here with a wishful answer)..
Anyway, I quite agree Semaj.. I never fancied restore.. It heals rougly the same HP as heal yet you have to wait 18 seconds to get the full effect.. Not very helpful in ordinary situations, not to mention it costs more (esp. when you've got heal's sp consumption empowered)..

If you are in a situation when you need only small amounts of HP restored, use level 1 heal. -SP empowered it costs 4 SP and heals for 110. The only time when restore would be necessary was when fighting something that dealt more than Heal could recover, and that should be Mr. Gency's job.

What folks don't realize is that regeneration spells are a godsend sometimes as they allow the cleric a little breathing room or rest during groups. If you spend 10-15 seconds standing to cast one heal to keep a player on top of their health, the regen spell allows health over time and you can sit for the 10 seconds or so and get a tick or two of SP back. This in turn saves having to constantly rely on SP stones/pots.

Regen is also used to counter poison spells that clerics for some reason cannot seem to get rid of.

From the description, I thought Bleed and Trip are passive skills or rather another buff that increases the base damage of Clerics for an hr.
So its a 1-hit skill like Bash eh...

might be weak now but you'll never know.
and restore is good. i usually grind with a mage friend at uruga and restore actually helps alot as i wouldnt have to keep spamming heal.
w/o restore : monster hit -> monster hit -> lvl 7 heal -> monster hit -> etc
restore : restore -> hit -> hit -> hit -> lvl 3 heal - > hit - > hit -> hit -> heal -> restore -> etc.
saves quite abit of pots too and i got chances to chat xD

wait if u bleed something it does constant damage. Just bash after that. Cuz i am sure all monsters don't die with 1 bash. I am sure the damage isn't alot but it helps during ur cooldown with heal and or bash.

Bleed is the name of the skill - it doesn't actually make them Bleed - contrary to what one would think.
And Trip sounds as if it would stun - which it doesn't do either.
They are both broken, no point in arguing it anymore really. They just need to be fixed. Though giving Clerics a stun...

ok if that is the case it needs to be fixed they are probably going to fix it. SO everyone u can stop saying how it suxs. Cuz everyone is saying the same thing in different words.

It's not made to compete -with- the heal skill, it's made to compliment it. That said, a regen with a heal back to back gives a cleric time to combat the 2.1sec cooldown on heal (that's assuming it's fully trained down cooldown-wise)... relying on invincible is a good way to get your tank killed if you're not fast with the heals just the same. It rocks at lower levels, but will never replace a higher tier regen to help - especially if you're running a party with 3 or more fighters in it against something higher damage, like the zombie king.
