I'm a little confused about how to get a higher level skill. So from what I understand you need to FIND a higher level skill book (slash 2) from an enemy monster or buy it from another player, but how do I know which monsters drop skill book lvl2? Are they specific monsters? Or do they vary on the player's level? And what's the max level for each skill? Thanks in advance for any information you can input.

Best way to figure out where your skill book upgrades are, is to watch the level range of skill books that drop. In your case, you need to find the map (there are multiple, just kill monsters to check) that drops Lv31 Skill Books for a chance to find Slash Level 2.

To know you're in the right place, you should find other class skill books dropping at the same level range you're looking for (example being the finding of Lv1 Rapid Step...Lv31 Neo skill book as well). Once you find that, just keep killing mobs till you get your own class skill book to drop finally (not mob specific, but map specific).

As for max level of skills, that is done when you find and able to learn that skill's mastery level (for example, the Slash Master Book, avaliable at Lv76 is the highest level Slash Book).

Go to where mobs are white (or getting close, especially if you're only 1-2 levels behind) and you should find that level range's skill book after killing some monsters.

Merely check with your class' book merchant for when the mastery can be activated.

for lvl 2 slash book, u can get from those mob south of CV 3rd or 4th map and beyond. those mobs names if i not mistaken is pawkin. they do drop ALOT of it. and also the flying fairy thingy (ice fairy)
