Mage or archer?

ok so i want to make an alt i want to be eathier mage or acher i want plz chose the one u think is best and where should the put free stat point

Mage if you want to deal the most dammage but die offten - Depending on what u want to do all on INT or 25 on SPT and rest on INT


Archer if you love DoT's...i dont really have a good build on this but put some on DEX and End

Archers FTW!!!
Cause they dont die as much as mages...
But its obvious that mages will do more damage...
Archer can alse tank with full buffs and scrolls, they can solo really well, and their DoT's are what make us famous :P
Overall archers are a well rounded class ;)

well mages are paper cannons, they can deal enormous amount of damgae but take very little, they also get some wicked pvp skills.

Archers on the other hand are like a support class, they can perform any role other than healing :P, they can be built to deal dmg or to evade attacks or even to tank. but however we fail miserably at pvp.

chose another class archers get boring. dont know much 'bout mages.

Mages are the best since they have wicked new moves later on that makes opponents not able to use skill for a while/Summon things,if you want a challenging and fun class i prefer you choose mage.

Mages will get fun to play at lvl 60-70+

Archers are an overall fun class to play, I like Archers most of all classes :P
They solo really well, and you gotta love turning everything green right :D
And you won't die as soon as a mage.
My lvl 79 archer has a nice 1205 base def, though he's full +9, but yeah archers rock :)

yes they die fast but this u can fix with end/int armor ;)

ive got a archer lvl 22 and she doesnt die much only if i go to high lvl areas but archers can poison and bleed but with mages you die alot but you normally kill them before they get to you

I'm a level 35 Mage and am thinking of making an Archer myself but if I had to choose between the two, I'd stick with my Mage simply because I always seem to overpower the Archers around me even when they're my level. And even though people are saying Mages die more -- which I've never heard before -- I've seen Archers flee battle leaving their party alone, die multiple times in a row...heck, I was partied with one and was trying desperately to keep him alive and nearly had a freakin' heartattack over it. O_O And just then, my brother ran by and I yelled out, "Hey, hey you!" and over Whisper gave him the order to "Watch the Archer, watch him as if your life depends upon it even though his does!" :D

I think it depends upon the player, not the class because I don't see what would make Archers less susceptible to death. Of course, Fighters, being as physical as they are, would be less likely to die but when it comes down to Archers versus Mages, I've outlasted Archers numerous times, in and out of KQ's, and have even been left standing alone in two KQs despite having been right in the mix the entire time. It's up to you, how you build your character, what you do with your weapons, and your skill/strategy.

That having been said, I've seen higher level Archers in battle and was amazed. The mobs they can pull are insane. Both are cool classes but both take strategy to use.
