I was reading up on weapon licences recently, and I read something about how the color of a monster title may indicate how likely or unlikely it will be that you complete the licence for that particluar monster. I assume this relates to your character's level, but I find this all quite confusing, as I have never even noticed the "color" of a monster's title! XD
Could someone kindly introduce me to this whole monster title color thing? :)
What are the colors? Where do I take note of them? What do the colors indicate? What do they mean in terms of licence completion?
Any information pertaining to this would be much appreciated!! :)
Thanks!

Yeah...
There are like 5 or so color.
No color (gray) = Monsters level is wayyyyy below yours
Green = Monsters level is just a little below yours
Yellow = Monster level is Very close to your level if even your level.
Light orange = Monster level is a little bit above you level
Dark orange = Monster level is quite a bit above your level
Red = Monster is wayyyyyy above you level and you will probably die if you try to kill it
:D
Usually i train on the Oranges... they give decent exp.
Also the differant color say stuff about how much exp you get from killing that monster.
If your fighting a no color (gray) than you will probely get 1 exp or just a little bit more.
If you are fighting a red monster You also usually get 1 exp T.T cruel i know.
I think the oranges give you the most exp... but they are harder to kill than the greens or yellows. Bacily it depends on your class.
Mages - Yellow or green if soloing (unless Buffed and scrolled)
Clerics - Easialy fight oranges on their own
Fighter - Doesnt realy matter, just have lots of hp pots/stones
Archer - Unless you have alot of money to spend on pots, Yellow.
(These aren't set, if you have buffs and scrolls you will be fine with whatever)
Obviously if your in a party you will want to kill higher level monsters because there are more people to do it.
PS: The color and licenses only have to do with the no color (gray). If you have a license that has a grey monster for you you don't get to level the license. Once the monster is gray that license is out of it for you.

There is only gray, green, yellow, orange and red. Not two different oranges ;)
And, the red mobs give you good exp. Well if you're lvl55 for example and go lvl to BR, you will get 1 exp. But normally if you can kill the red mob, it gives you exp. :)

Also, when you select the monster, its name will have the color. If you have your display set up properly, you can see the monster "color" if you mouse-over it. Also, when you have the monster selected, the picture of the monster (between its HP and SP) will have a colored background based on the level.

If you can kill the red by yourself, you get great xp. If it 1 hits you, then most likely you're not going to get any, even if that nice lvl 89 fighter helps you kill a hundred of them.

That's because it's the Abyss. Mobs there are generally weaker than mobs in non-Abyss maps.
In general, you shouldn't go after mobs that are red to you because there's a good chance you'll be killed...or that it'll take longer than normal to kill. You might be able to kill them eventually, but the amount of SP, stones and pots used to kill them might not make them worth the exp.
