During a game's Closed Beta Test, often called a CBT, a limited number of people have access to the software for the purpose of evaluation and real-world testing. The Closed Beta Test is a great opportunity to explore the game before it launches!

Closed Beta Tests are often designed to test things like server load and larger-scale connectivity. They give players the chance to report bugs and help developers make further improvements to the software before it is available to the general public.

The Wind Slayer Closed Beta Test will begin on Wednesday, January 7th, 2009 at 3:00pm PST and will run until Wednesday, January 14th.

You can download it anytime you wish, but you won't be able to play until Open Beta starts. Open Beta is scheduled to start on the 4th of February. So you just have to wait 'til then. :)

And, you don't have to get invited. Anyone can play when Open Beta starts. You only have to be invited to be in Closed Beta (which already ended).
