Releasing mid-week will lower the initial demands on the server, much in the same way that making the client available ahead of time has done. Both have been smart decisions, especially when you consider the short time the game will be in closed beta.

Comparing Wind Slayer CB testing to the process used for other online titles:

Wed-Thurs : Light load testing
Fri-Sun : Stress load testing
Mon-Open Beta : Testing of any required fixes

See that's why it's tough for me. For those who are confused, the CBT starts at 3:00 PM PST. So, it starts at 6:00 PM EST, 5:00 PM Central, and 4:00 PM Mountain. Hope that helped, and Rogues FTW!!!

3pm PST. If you go to the Outspark Portal you can see what time it is at Outspark. That may help you in determining the time of the release. By my calculations there is roughly 3 1/2 hours left.

The difference between PST and EST is 3 hours, so you are correct. I am in CST, so I am 2 hours ahead of Outspark. Therefore, at 5pm my time, it will be 3pm Outspark time. It is now 1:41pm. :P

Pretty good game so far only thing I hate is spending money on shovels to gather and mine they should be permanent use instead of one time use...but this is my first 2d mmo as Im not a big fan of it.....seeing lots of invisible players and invisible attacks...not much of a lag issue cept every once in awhile I get a lag spike which makes me move faster than the screen.......other than that its a fun game

Have you tried Uninstalling everything completely and reinstalling? X-Trap may not have installed properly.

dude dont bother its not worth it. if you played maple story you played WS. only real difference is that WS has FORCED yes i said FORCED PvP. is that not the dumbest thing ever ??!!! a RPG with FORCED PvP ??!! well good by WS you could have been fun but you had to screw the pooch. i have been playing for oh 20 hours or so and all but one person hates the victy system. i shouldnt have to PvP to become a warrior or knight or whatever. PvP should be opinonal not FORCED . its just one more nail in the pc gaming coffin.

so far what I've noticed that dex is not a stat build for rogues/sins and that class is more of a ninja class....wheres the steal skill and what affects agil and atk speed? so far rogues are useless without a steal or pick-pocket skill...I hope it gets better

1) I agree with the earlier poster who stated that there should be no mandtory PVP. I spent like a day trying to get enough victy by winning in pvp to become a warrior. If I lost which was a lot I got 0 victy.

2)Did anyone else notice that battleground and pvp were pretty much exactly the same. What's the point of having two pvp systems.

3)Also what was with the play and chat. The playroom looked cool for about 2 minutes. You also could do nothing in there. There should be online games in there you could play with each other like cards or tic-tac-toe or something.

4)The game needs faster health regeneration like SOS. You had to spend tons of coin to get potions so you wouldn't die because it took like a half an hour of sitting around to refill your health bar.

I love the overall game and can't wait for obt. The quest systems and clothing were awsome. I did have to stay on one cities quests for a long period of time though. How about a common area for characters to meet?

It was good for CBT but when it's fully released there will not be enough booths for people who want to sell things if you have to sell them at one of the maybe 30 booths in one flee market. There are other towns but still not enough I think.

You gain victy based on the damage you've dealt to a target once that target dies (this doesn't end when the round is over). Winning and loosing have no bearing.

Personally I found PvP to be the best part of the game, and once I hit level 16, I never left. I was only grossly disappointed that they didn't give more EXP for time spent there. Even 60 exp for ~3 minutes of play is insulting, to be honest.

The designer was either drunk or suffering from a spontaneous but short lived brain tumor when he programed that. The best health regen systems aren't based on fixed numbers at all, but use % of HP, so that the time you have to sit there doing nothing is always the same and very very short (30 seconds is a nice number for 100% recovery). There is nothing fun, balanced, creative, or even good about having to sit idly doing nothing. Time Out is a punishment, and why should players be punished for playing the game?
How about a common area for characters to meet?This isn't a chat room, and cities serve as such an area. Characters of like levels will tend towards congregating in the same cities.

I can't see how this would work with thousands of simultaneous users, but it's quite possible that the channel system, along with an extended Flea Market zone, will minimize the issue.

The PvP rules compared to secret of the solstice as you can make everyone have the same stats and level so any level player can play and have a good chance of winning or getting alot of vicity where as in PvP in secret of the solstice you just get pawned and about dieing alot in PvP eventually like me you get better and better and better

When i luanch the Wind Slayer application and the Outspark Luancher comes on i just get a White screen and it says navigation to the website was cancelled and won't let me log on or anything, Can anyone help?

The maps haven't been released yet, they were out during CB, however. My guess is that they're fixing some bugs or glitches in the maps and will release them once everything's all fine and dandy.
