In-Game Lingo
-NPC [Non-Playable Character] = Examples are the Skill Book Merchant and General Store Merchant.
-AoE [Area of Effect] = A damaging skill that hits many monsters at once. Most classes get their AoE skill at lvl 66
-AP [Additional Points] = AP is attainable only through drops. You do not Xen gear to get AP, you Xen to get the +1/+2/etc. status. You can check the AP of a gear by right-clicking the item.
- B> = Buying
- S> = Selling
- T> = Trading
- A> = Auctioning
- RP = Re-Pot, as in, getting more Potions/Scrolls/things from town. This can mean RolePlaying but...usually means RePot.
Plvl or PowerLevel = Where someone who can AoE takes a low level person to a hard map and AoEs while the low level person just sits, doing nothing but getting experience they didn't work for.
Exp = Experience
Choosing Your First Class
There are 4 classes to choose from -- after level 45, there are technically 6 class paths you could have taken.
Go and explore the class forums or ask people of the class you desire about their class. People love talking about how awesome their class is! ;)
Making Money
-Buy only a few potions at a time, and sit down to regain HP/MP instead of using potions
-Sell all gear you get as loot. CHECK ALL GEAR FOR AP (Additional Points) [[see "gear" section below]]
-Fruits/Veggies you get as drops can be sold for anywhere from 5,000kron to 50,000kron. Save them and check the user market to see what you should sell it for.
-Sell all books you get as loot, unless they are for your class, in which case you should save them in the hotel for when you need them. Lvl 1 books for low levels should be NPC'd. Lvl 2+ books and Master Books can be sold on the user market, check for their price.
-Save any odd items you get -- firewood, leather, fairy powder, soldiers diaries, sealed reports, XEN STONES, etc. in case you need them for a quest. If you just want kron, check their price on the user market.
-IF YOU CAN LEAVE YOUR COMPUTER ON AND THE GAME RUNNING WHILE YOU SLEEP, DO IT. This is the best time to vend your items so you don't waste the time you could be leveling on vending.
Making Friends
-Party with people! Approach people on maps and ask if they'd like to party.
-Sit in town and talk to people walking by!
-Go to PvP and hang out!
-Talk to people on the forums! The off-topic section is pretty fun! :)
-Join a guild!
Making Levels
-Party with people! Approach people on maps and ask if they'd like to party.
-Duo with an acolyte, or if you are an acolyte, duo with someone!
-Check the homepage for notices about boost weekends, and take full advantage of them!
Gaming Etiquette
-Do not sit there and say the same thing 50 times in a row. Be patient and wait for someone to respond.
-Do not walk around town begging for items / kron
-Do not attack someone else's monster [unless you're in a party, duh!]
-If someone doesn't want to party with you, accept it and walk away. Don't insult them or steal their kill as 'revenge'
-Please try to type as legibily as possible -- wEn u tipe lyk dis, no1 cn rly undrstnd u & u nd up l00kng st00pid.
-Do not ask for "power leveling" -- this will cause many people to dislike you because you're being lazy.
Gear -- Pay Attention Here!
-The very first thing you do when you get a gear is RIGHT-CLICK it.
-There are two types of altered gear: gear with AP, and enhanced gear.
-AP [additional points] will show up at the bottom of the window that appears when you right click the item:
AP 6 will sell for a LOT, ask a high leveled player or look around user shops to see what you should sell it for.
AP 4 gears will fetch good prices, though considerably lower than AP 6, if at all
AP 2 is considered 'useless' -- just sell this back to a NPC
SHIELD AP IS DIFFERENT
3 AP is the highest AP a shield can have. These shields will fetch a lot of kron!
2 AP is also desirable as it isn't as expensive as 3ap but still has ap.
1 AP is sort of useless, but you can try to sell it if you want.
-Enhanced gears have a + after their name. They are found as loot or created with Xen Stones.
+1 = Gives 2AP, even if the gear has no AP. Can be found as loot.
+2 = Gives 4AP, even if the gear has no AP. Can only be found as loot in dungeon-type maps.
+3 [and beyond] = Can only be man-made!
-You can find +1/6AP or +2/6AP gear "in the wild"--if you do, you're very lucky! These are incredibly rare and valuable drops, so make sure you get your money's worth!
-The highest + value is 10, so the closer you get to a +10 gear, the more valuable and strong it is!
-WARNING: Every EVEN + moves the level requirement of the gear up ONE LEVEL, so make sure you check it before you enhance it!

Everything Else
If you have any other questions, ask someone in-game, or use the "search" function on the forums before doing anything.
If the in-game way and the search function fail you, make a legible thread in the appropriate section and wait for a response. Sometimes it may take a few days for a good response.

It's the "Guide of Guides" and is VERY helpful.
Also, you can message me if you have any questions, though I'll admit that I do not know everything. ;)
