More of a lone wolf, unless my friends are the party members. Even then we just sometimes party and go our seperate ways, just use the party for chat. A party can be good sometimes though, especially since I'm a cleric... lol

I usually solo at the beginning since finding a decent party in the early lvls is hard. As things progress I always go into a party, not because its needed, but simply because hanging out with some ppl while killing things is more fun than just killing things.

That thing about getting 10% extra xp per party member makes me think twice about getting parties in this game XD Not to mention you get you character's cons covered by others (like a cleric would get to kill faster in a party with a mage, and that mage to survive longer with the cleric's aid). However, I'm not the type who goes crazy around looking for parties. I just go solo, and then, if I find someone there, I ask to join in a party ;)

I have a whole group of people on a site I go to ready to play this game. We have 1 person for every class, and some classes have 2/3.

There is no way i'm gonna read this entire thread, but. i love party's i love everything about them. the socializing, the cooperation, the commitment you have to other's. i dislike people who would leave a good party, just to join some friends(unless it was a previous arrangement). or kick a player out of their party just to let someone higher lvl, or so they think has a higher priority in them in. but, that's just me.

Party's are the greatest. this game has the best system for partying. it's pretty much useless to try and level without one. early level's solo is very profitable. but anything beyond lvl 36 you will be in dire need of one!

Me?, I prefer to be a Lone wolf, finding my own way.

I try so solo at first...get a good feel for the game and lay of the land. Plus I don't like the idea of being dependent upon others so I learn what's necessary to survive alone. Eventually I prefer to join guilds for comeraderie and helpfulness, and when I party I prefer to stay with my own guild. If they're not available, of course, then I'll branch out and meet other people/characters online to see if they're down for a party.

All classes should have the ablity to solo to an extent... or some will be left to sit, waiting for others... time wasted. I do think that attaining some of the best items in the game/end game content should require some teamwork though. Of course it should not be so ridiculously hard that you have to spend hours farming materials and/or scheduling 10-man or more parties(some of you know how hellish this can be from past games...) In the end playing with friends will ultimately increase the enjoyment of any game.:cool:

It all depends, really. In some instances (I mean vocabulary not the WoW instances) I prefer to solo but in others partying is the best way to go.

I useually go lone, Picking a class that works alone is more my style. I get annoyed easy. Not to mention I never find a good party and hen I find a guild and I join, their useually so good everyone does everything on their own.

Partying is great. Considering the bonus 10% x (No. Of Different Classes present in the Party). Sounds great. This encourages people to make friends and party up more often rather then risk going solo. And your much less likely to die in a party.

i like to go it alone when i am exploring( one of my favorite things to do, as once i have viseted every part of the world, i will be the human-atlas for SoS) it gets me in trouble cause i run into big monsters, but at least i dont have to call the whole party, and tell everyone which way to go, and keep track of everyone...

and unless i am RPing an assasin at the moment, i like to go with a small party just to have sumone to chat with while i'm playin.

In SoS I was a aco, mostly I like the idea of holding a persons life in my hands. when I make a party and about to get to witchwood (place go to train at) I normally say if you dont Liston to me I'll let you die.Is that evil? yes but is evil so wrong?

Solo'ing gets so boring, especially using an acolyte. I rather party since I hate being alone. Part of the game is to GET TO KNOW OTHER PEOPLE you know.

I go alone for a great deal of time, either to achieve a measure of power for myself, or for monetary sustainablility, then I turn my attention towards helping others/working on the MHC guild.

I start alone, I end in company. :)

BTW: there should be a 3rd option, for both.

Forthe Most Part I Luv Playin By Myself Because I Can Level Up The Way I Want To And All The Items Are Mine Because Alot Of The Parties I Have Been In Will Wait Til I Killed A Monster Then Take All The Items

i like well functioning parties, where everyone knows their role. i play hard(sales of items cover pots), and will not party with people that want to sit around all day.

i always have divide items randomly to save the hastle of people thinkin they don't get as much.

as a rogue is a late bloomer, i'll probably go solo more often when i become assasin, as then i should be able to take care of myself, but at lower levels i like a party, having an aco makes it much more economical on pots.

having a party means that experiance get's divided, so the party of X players should be pulling in X times as much experiance, so hitting harder mobs faster(i don't like partying with a big party in places that are too easy for the party, then you get insignificant exp).

i also like to check the level of other players in the party. the exp is divided according to the level, so if in a large party of higher level players then you'll get a insignificant cut of the experiance.

partying with one person at half your level is another consideration, as then you'll get 2/3 of the exp of a kill, so is as good as solo if you two can kill 30% faster.

it all depends on the situation.
